Et voici que du fleuve montaient sept vaches belles et grasses, et elles paissaient dans le marécage. 3	Sept autres vaches laides à voir et maigres de chair montèrent derrière elles hors du fleuve, et se tinrent à leurs côtés sur le bord du fleuve.	And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.	Et voici, sept autres vaches laides et maigres, montaient du fleuve après elles, et elles se tinrent auprès des autres vaches sur le bord du fleuve.	And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill-favored and lean-fleshed, and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.
4	Les vaches laides à voir et maigres de chair mangèrent les sept vaches belles à voir et grasses de chair. Et Pharaon s'éveilla.	And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.	Et les vaches laides et maigres dévorèrent les sept vaches belles et grasses. 5	Il se rendormit, et il eut un second songe. Voici, sept épis gras et beaux montèrent sur une même tige.	And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.	Et il s'endormit et songea une seconde fois. Et voici sept épis gras et beaux poussaient sur une même tige.	And he slept and dreamed a second time: and, behold, seven ears of grain came up upon one stalk, rank and good.
6	Et sept épis maigres et brûlés par le vent d'orient poussèrent après eux.	And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.	Puis, voici, sept épis maigres et brûlés par le vent d'Orient germaient après ceux-là.	And, behold, seven ears, thin and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.
7	Les épis maigres engloutirent les sept épis gras et pleins. Et Pharaon s'éveilla. Voilà le songe.	And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.	Et les épis maigres engloutirent les sept épis gras et pleins; et Pharaon s'éveilla, et voici, c'était un songe. 8	Le matin, Pharaon eut l'esprit agité, et il fit appeler tous les magiciens et tous les sages de l'Égypte. Il leur raconta ses songes. Mais personne ne put les expliquer à Pharaon.	And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.	Et sur le matin son esprit était agité; et il envoya appeler tous les magiciens et tous les sages d'Égypte, et Pharaon leur raconta ses songes; mais il n'y eut personne qui les lui interpréta. 9	Alors le chef des échansons prit la parole, et dit à Pharaon : Je vais rappeler aujourd'hui le souvenir de ma faute. 10	Pharaon s'était irrité contre ses serviteurs ; et il m'avait fait mettre en prison dans la maison du chef des gardes, moi et le chef des panetiers. 11	Nous eûmes l'un et l'autre un songe dans une même nuit ; et chacun de nous reçut une explication en rapport avec le songe qu'il avait eu.	And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream. 12	Il y avait là avec nous un jeune Hébreu, esclave du chef des gardes. Nous lui racontâmes nos songes, et il nous les expliqua.	And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.	Or, il y avait là avec nous un jeune homme hébreu, serviteur du chef des gardes; et nous lui avons raconté nos songes, et il nous les interpréta; il donna à chacun une interprétation d'après son songe.	And there was with us there a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.
13	Les choses sont arrivées selon l'explication qu'il nous avait donnée. Pharaon me rétablit dans ma charge, et il fit pendre le chef des panetiers.	And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.	Et la chose arriva comme il nous l'avait interprétée: le roi me rétablit dans ma place, et fit pendre l'autre. 14	Pharaon fit appeler Joseph. On le fit sortir en hâte de prison. Il se rasa, changea de vêtements, et se rendit vers Pharaon.	Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.	Alors Pharaon envoya appeler Joseph, et on le fit sortir en hâte de la prison; on le rasa, on le fit changer de vêtements, et il vint vers Pharaon.	Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.
15	Pharaon dit à Joseph : J'ai eu un songe. Personne ne peut l'expliquer ; et j'ai appris que tu expliques un songe, après l'avoir entendu.	And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.	Et Pharaon dit à Joseph: J'ai fait un songe, et il n'y a personne qui l'interprète. Or, j'ai entendu dire que tu n'as qu'à entendre un songe pour l'interpréter.	And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that when thou hearest a dream thou canst interpret it.
16	Joseph répondit à Pharaon, en disant : Ce n'est pas moi ! c'est Dieu qui donnera une réponse favorable à Pharaon.	And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.	Et Joseph répondit à Pharaon, en disant: Ce n'est pas moi, c'est Dieu qui répondra touchant la prospérité de Pharaon.	And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.
17	Pharaon dit alors à Joseph : Dans mon songe, voici, je me tenais sur le bord du fleuve.	And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:	Et Pharaon dit à Joseph: Dans mon songe, voici, je me tenais sur le bord du fleuve. 18	Et voici, sept vaches grasses de chair et belles d'apparence montèrent hors du fleuve, et se mirent à paître dans la prairie. 19	Sept autres vaches montèrent derrière elles, maigres, fort laides d'apparence, et décharnées : je n'en ai point vu d'aussi laides dans tout le pays d'Égypte.	And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:	Et voici, sept autres vaches montaient après elles, chétives, et très laides, et décharnées; je n'en ai jamais vu de semblables en laideur dans tout le pays d'Égypte.	and, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill-favored and lean-fleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:
20	Les vaches décharnées et laides mangèrent les sept premières vaches qui étaient grasses.	And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:	Et les vaches décharnées et laides dévorèrent les sept premières vaches grasses,	and the lean and ill-favored kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:
21	Elles les engloutirent dans leur ventre, sans qu'on s'aperçût qu'elles y fussent entrées ; et leur apparence était laide comme auparavant. Et je m'éveillai.	And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.	Qui entrèrent dans leur ventre sans qu'il parût qu'elles y fussent entrées, et elles étaient aussi laides qu'au commencement.	and when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill-favored, as at the beginning. 22	Je vis encore en songe sept épis pleins et beaux, qui montèrent sur une même tige.	And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:	Alors je me réveillai. 25	Joseph dit à Pharaon : Ce qu'a songé Pharaon est une seule chose ; Dieu a fait connaître à Pharaon ce qu'il va faire.	And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.	Et Joseph répondit à Pharaon: Ce qu'a songé Pharaon est une seule chose; Dieu a déclaré à Pharaon ce qu'il va faire.	And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: what God is about to do he hath declared unto Pharaoh.
26	Les sept vaches belles sont sept années : et les sept épis beaux sont sept années : c'est un seul songe.	The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.	Les sept belles vaches sont sept ans; et les sept beaux épis sont sept ans; c'est un même songe. 27	Les sept vaches décharnées et laides, qui montaient derrière les premières, sont sept années ; et les sept épis vides, brûlés par le vent d'orient, seront sept années de famine.	And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.	Et les sept vaches décharnées et laides, qui montaient après celles-là sont sept ans, et les sept épis vides, brûlés par le vent d'Orient, seront sept ans de famine.	And the seven lean and ill-favored kine that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind; they shall be seven years of famine.
28	Ainsi, comme je viens de le dire à Pharaon, Dieu a fait connaître à Pharaon ce qu'il va faire.	This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.	C'est ce que j'ai dit à Pharaon: Dieu a fait voir à Pharaon ce qu'il va faire.	That is the thing which I spake unto Pharaoh: what God is about to do he hath showed unto Pharaoh.
29	Voici, il y aura sept années de grande abondance dans tout le pays d'Égypte.	Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:	Voici, il va venir sept années de grande abondance dans tout le pays d'Égypte. 30	Sept années de famine viendront après elles ; et l'on oubliera toute cette abondance au pays d'Égypte, et la famine consumera le pays. 31	Cette famine qui suivra sera si forte qu'on ne s'apercevra plus de l'abondance dans le pays.	And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.	Et l'abondance ne paraîtra plus dans le pays, à cause de cette famine qui viendra après; car elle sera très grande.	and the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine which followeth; for it shall be very grievous.
32	Si Pharaon a vu le songe se répéter une seconde fois, c'est que la chose est arrêtée de la part de Dieu, et que Dieu se hâtera de l'exécuter.	And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.	Et quant à ce que le songe s'est reproduit deux fois pour Pharaon, c'est que la chose est arrêtée de Dieu, et que Dieu se hâte de l'accomplir. 33	Maintenant, que Pharaon choisisse un homme intelligent et sage, et qu'il le mette à la tête du pays d'Égypte.	Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt. 34	Que Pharaon établisse des commissaires sur le pays, pour lever un cinquième des récoltes de l'Égypte pendant les sept années d'abondance.	Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.	Que Pharaon établisse et institue des commissaires sur le pays, et qu'il prenne le cinquième du revenu du pays d'Égypte, durant les sept années d'abondance. 35	Qu'ils rassemblent tous les produits de ces bonnes années qui vont venir ; qu'ils fassent, sous l'autorité de Pharaon, des amas de blé, des approvisionnements dans les villes, et qu'ils en aient la garde.	And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.	Et qu'ils rassemblent tous les vivres de ces bonnes années qui viennent, et qu'ils amassent du froment sous la main de Pharaon, des vivres dans les villes, et qu'ils les gardent.	And let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and lay up grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.
36	Ces provisions seront en réserve pour le pays, pour les sept années de famine qui arriveront dans le pays d'Égypte, afin que le pays ne soit pas consumé par la famine.	And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.	Et ces vivres seront en réserve pour le pays, pour les sept années de famine qui seront au pays d'Égypte, afin que le pays ne soit pas consumé par la famine. 37	Ces paroles plurent à Pharaon et à tous ses serviteurs.	And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.	Et ce discours plut à Pharaon, et à tous ses serviteurs.	And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
38	Et Pharaon dit à ses serviteurs : Trouverions-nous un homme comme celui-ci, ayant en lui l'esprit de Dieu ?	And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? 39	Et Pharaon dit à Joseph : Puisque Dieu t'a fait connaître toutes ces choses, il n'y a personne qui soit aussi intelligent et aussi sage que toi.	And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:	Et Pharaon dit à Joseph: Puisque Dieu t'a fait connaître tout ceci, nul n'est entendu, ni sage autant que toi.
