Et voici, sept jeunes vaches belles à voir, grasses et en bon point, montaient hors du fleuve, et paissaient dans des marécages.	And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, well-favored and fat-fleshed; and they fed in the reed-grass.
3	Et voici, après elles, sept autres vaches montaient du fleuve, laides à voir, et pauvres de chair; et elles se tinrent à côté des vaches qui étaient sur le bord du fleuve;	And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.	Et voici sept autres jeunes vaches, laides à voir, et maigres, montaient hors du fleuve après les autres, et se tenaient auprès des autres jeunes vaches sur le bord du fleuve.	And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill-favored and lean-fleshed, and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.
4	et les vaches laides à voir, et pauvres de chair, mangèrent les sept vaches belles à voir, et grasses. Et le Pharaon s'éveilla.	And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.	Et les jeunes vaches laides à voir, et maigres, mangèrent les sept jeunes vaches belles à voir, et grasses. Alors Pharaon s'éveilla.	And the ill-favored and lean-fleshed kine did eat up the seven well-favored and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.
5	Et il s'endormit, et songea une seconde fois: et voici, sept épis gras et bons montaient sur une seule tige.	And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.	Puis il se rendormit, et songea pour la seconde fois, et il lui semblait que sept épis grenus et beaux sortaient d'un même tuyau. 6	Et voici, sept épis pauvres et brûlés par le vent d'orient germaient après eux;	And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.	Ensuite il lui semblait que sept autres épis minces et flétris par le vent d'Orient, germaient après ceux-là.	And, behold, seven ears, thin and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.
7	et les épis pauvres dévorèrent les sept épis gras et pleins. Et le Pharaon s'éveilla; et voilà, c'était un songe.	And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.	Et les épis minces engloutirent les sept épis grenus et pleins. Alors Pharaon s'éveilla; et voilà le songe. 8	Et il arriva, au matin, que son esprit fut troublé; et il envoya, et appela tous les devins de l'Égypte, et tous ses sages. Et le Pharaon leur raconta ses songes; et il n'y eut personne qui les interprétât au Pharaon.	And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.	Et il arriva au matin que son esprit fut effrayé, et il envoya appeler tous les magiciens et tous les sages d'Egypte, et leur récita ses songes, mais il n'y avait personne qui les lui interprétât.	And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.
9	Et le chef des échansons parla au Pharaon, disant: Je rappelle aujourd'hui mes fautes. 11	et nous songeâmes un songe dans une même nuit, moi et lui; nous songeâmes chacun selon l'interprétation de son songe.	And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream. 12	Et il y avait là avec nous un jeune hébreu, serviteur du chef des gardes; et nous lui racontâmes, et il nous interpréta nos songes; il donna à chacun l'interprétation selon son songe.	And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.	Or il y avait là avec nous un garçon Hébreu, serviteur du Prévôt de l'hôtel, et nous lui contâmes nos songes, et il nous les expliqua, donnant à chacun l'explication selon son songe.	And there was with us there a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.
13	Et il arriva que, comme il nous avait interprété, ainsi il advint: moi, le Pharaon me rétablit dans mon poste, et lui, il le pendit.	And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.	Et la chose arriva comme il nous l'avait interprétée; car le Roi me rétablit en mon état, et fit pendre l'autre. 14	Et le Pharaon envoya, et appela Joseph; et on le fit accourir de la fosse, et il se rasa, et changea de vêtements; et il vint vers le Pharaon.	Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.	Alors Pharaon envoya appeler Joseph, et on le fit sortir en hâte de la prison; et on le rasa, et on lui fit changer de vêtements; puis il vint vers Pharaon.	Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.
15	Et le Pharaon dit à Joseph: J'ai songé un songe, et il n'y a personne pour l'interpréter; et j'ai entendu dire de toi que tu comprends un songe pour l'interpréter.	And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.	Et Pharaon dit à Joseph: J'ai songé un songe, et il n'y a personne qui l'explique; or j'ai appris que tu sais expliquer les songes.	And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that when thou hearest a dream thou canst interpret it.
16	Et Joseph répondit au Pharaon, disant: Cela n'est pas à moi; Dieu donnera une réponse de paix au Pharaon.	And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.	Et Joseph répondit à Pharaon, en disant: Ce sera Dieu, et non pas moi, qui répondra ce qui concerne la prospérité de Pharaon.	And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.
17	Et le Pharaon dit à Joseph: Dans mon songe, voici, je me tenais sur le bord du fleuve; et voici,	And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:	Et Pharaon dit à Joseph: Je songeais que j'étais sur le bord du fleuve. 18	du fleuve montaient sept vaches grasses de chair, et belles à voir, et elles paissaient dans les roseaux. 19	Et voici, sept autres vaches montaient après elles, chétives, et très-laides à voir, et maigres de chair: je n'en ai pas vu de semblables en laideur dans tout le pays d'Égypte.	And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:	Et voici, sept autres jeunes vaches montaient après celles-là, chétives, si laides, et si maigres, que je n'en ai jamais vu de semblables en laideur dans tout le pays d'Egypte.	and, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill-favored and lean-fleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:
20	Et les vaches maigres et laides mangèrent les sept premières vaches, les grasses:	And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:	Mais les jeunes vaches maigres et laides dévorèrent les sept premières jeunes vaches grasses;	and the lean and ill-favored kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:
21	elles entrèrent dans leur ventre, et il ne paraissait point qu'elles fussent entrées dans leur ventre, et leur aspect était aussi laid qu'au commencement.	And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.	Qui entrèrent dans leur ventre, sans qu'il parut qu'elles y fussent entrées; car elles étaient aussi laides à voir qu'au commencement; alors je me réveillai.	and when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill-favored, as at the beginning. 22	Et je m'éveillai. 23	et voici, sept épis desséchés, pauvres, brûlés par le vent d'orient, germaient après eux;	And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:	Puis voici sept épis petits, minces, et flétris par le vent d'Orient, qui germaient après.	and, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, [and] blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:
24	et les épis pauvres dévorèrent les sept bons épis. Et je l'ai dit aux devins; et il n'y a eu personne qui me l'expliquât.	And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.	Mais les épis minces engloutirent les sept beaux épis; et j'ai dit ces songes aux magiciens; mais aucun ne me les a expliqués.	and the thin ears swallowed up the seven good ears: and I told it unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.
25	Et Joseph dit au Pharaon: Le songe du Pharaon est un: Dieu a déclaré au Pharaon ce qu'il va faire.	And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.	Et Joseph répondit à Pharaon: Ce que Pharaon a songé n'est qu'une même chose; Dieu a déclaré à Pharaon ce qu'il s'en va faire.	And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: what God is about to do he hath declared unto Pharaoh.
26	Les sept bonnes vaches, ce sont sept années; et les sept bons épis, ce sont sept années: c'est un seul songe.	The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.	Les sept belles jeunes vaches sont sept ans; et les sept beaux épis sont sept ans; c'est un même songe.	The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.
27	Et les sept vaches maigres et laides, qui montaient après elles, ce sont sept années; et les sept épis vides, brûlés par le vent d'orient, ce sont sept années de famine.	And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.	Et les sept jeunes vaches maigres et laides qui montaient après celles-là, sont sept ans; et les sept épis vides et flétris par le vent d'Orient, seront sept ans de famine.	And the seven lean and ill-favored kine that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind; they shall be seven years of famine.
28	C'est la parole que je dis au Pharaon; ce que Dieu va faire, il le montre au Pharaon.	This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.	C'est ce que j'ai dit à Pharaon, savoir que Dieu a fait voir à Pharaon ce qu'il s'en va faire.	That is the thing which I spake unto Pharaoh: what God is about to do he hath showed unto Pharaoh.
29	Voici, sept années de grande abondance viennent dans tout le pays d'Égypte;	Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:	Voici, sept ans viennent auxquels il y aura une grande abondance dans tout le pays d'Egypte.	Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:
30	et sept années de famine se lèveront après elles; et toute l'abondance sera oubliée dans le pays d'Égypte, et la famine consumera le pays;	And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;	Mais après ces années-là viendront sept ans de famine; alors on oubliera toute cette abondance au pays d'Egypte, et la famine consumera le pays.	and there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;
31	et l'abondance ne sera plus connue dans le pays, à cause de cette famine qui viendra après; car elle sera très-intense.	And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.	Et on ne reconnaîtra plus cette abondance au pays, à cause de la famine qui viendra après; car elle sera très-grande.	and the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine which followeth; for it shall be very grievous.
32	Et que le songe ait été répété deux fois au Pharaon, c'est que la chose est arrêtée de la part de Dieu, et que Dieu se hâte de la faire.	And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.	Et quant à ce que le songe a été réitéré à Pharaon pour la seconde fois, c'est que la chose est arrêtée de Dieu, et que Dieu se hâte de l'exécuter. 34	Que le Pharaon fasse cela, et qu'il prépose des commissaires sur le pays, et qu'il lève le cinquième du pays d'Égypte pendant les sept années d'abondance;	Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.	Que Pharaon aussi fasse ceci: Qu'il établisse des Commissaires sur le pays, et qu'il prenne la cinquième partie du revenu du pays d'Egypte durant les sept années d'abondance.	Let Pharaoh do [this], and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
35	et qu'ils rassemblent tous les vivres de ces bonnes années qui viennent, et qu'ils amassent le blé sous la main du Pharaon pour nourriture dans les villes, et qu'ils le gardent.	And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.	Et qu'on amasse tous les vivres de ces bonnes années qui viendront, et que le blé qu'on amassera, demeure sous la puissance de Pharaon pour nourriture dans les villes, et qu'on le garde.	And let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and lay up grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.
36	Et les vivres seront une réserve pour le pays, pour les sept années de famine qui seront dans le pays d'Égypte, et le pays ne sera pas détruit par la famine.	And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.	Et ces vivres-là seront pour la provision du pays durant les sept années de famine qui seront au pays d'Egypte, afin que le pays ne soit pas consumé par la famine.	And the food shall be for a store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.
37	Et la chose fut bonne aux yeux du Pharaon et aux yeux de tous ses serviteurs	And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants. 38	Et le Pharaon dit à ses serviteurs: Trouverons-nous un homme semblable à celui-ci, en qui est l'esprit des dieux?	And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?	Et Pharaon dit à ses serviteurs: Pourrions-nous trouver un homme semblable à celui-ci, qui eût l'Esprit de Dieu? 39	Et le Pharaon dit à Joseph: Puisque Dieu t'a fait connaître tout cela, personne n'est intelligent et sage comme toi.	And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:	Et Pharaon dit à Joseph: Puisque Dieu t'a fait connaître toutes ces choses, il n'y a personne qui soit si entendu ni si sage que toi.
