For he said, I will appease him with the present that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his face; peradventure he will accept of me. | Et vous lui direz: Voici même ton serviteur Jacob est derrière nous. Car il disait: J'apaiserai sa colère par ce présent qui ira devant moi, et après cela, je verrai sa face; peut-être qu'il me regardera favorablement. | and ye shall say, Moreover, behold, thy servant Jacob is behind us. | 28 | And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. | Alors il dit: Ton nom ne sera plus Jacob, mais Israël; car tu as été le maître en luttant avec Dieu et avec les hommes, et tu as été le plus fort. | And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for thou hast striven with God and with men, and hast prevailed. | Allora quegli disse: Il tuo nome non sarà più Giacobbe, ma Israele, poiché tu hai lottato con DIO e con gli uomini, ed hai vinto. |
| 29 | And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. | Et Jacob demanda, disant: Je te prie, déclare-moi ton nom. Et il répondit: Pourquoi demandes-tu mon nom? | 32 | Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank. | C'est pourquoi jusqu'à ce jour les enfants d'Israël ne mangent point du muscle se retirant, qui est à l'endroit de l'emboîture de la hanche; parce que cet homme-là toucha l'endroit de l'emboîture de la hanche de Jacob, à l'endroit du muscle se retirant. | Therefore the children of Israel eat not the sinew of the hip which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob`s thigh in the sinew of the hip. | Per questo, fino al giorno d'oggi, i figli d'Israele non mangiano il tendine della coscia che passa per la cavità dell'anca, perché quell'uomo aveva toccato la cavità dell'anca di Giacobbe, al punto del tendine della coscia. |
