| 10 | And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor. | Alors le serviteur prit dix chameaux d'entre les chameaux de son maître, et s'en alla: car il avait tout le bien de son maître en son pouvoir. | 11 | And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water. | Et il fit reposer les chameaux sur leurs genoux hors de la ville, près d'un puits d'eau, sur le soir, au temps que sortent celles qui vont puiser de l'eau. | E fece inginocchiare i cammelli fuori della città presso un pozzo d'acqua, verso sera, all'ora in cui le donne escono ad attingere l'acqua, e disse: |
| 12 | And he said O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham. | Et il dit: Ô Eternel! | 13 | Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water: | Voici, je me tiendrai près de la fontaine d'eau, et les filles des gens de la ville sortiront pour puiser de l'eau. | Ecco, io sto presso questa fonte d'acqua, mentre le figlie degli abitanti della città escono ad attingere acqua. |
| 14 | And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master. | Fais donc que la jeune fille à laquelle je dirai: Baisse, je te prie, ta cruche, afin que je boive, et qui me répondra: Bois, et même je donnerai à boire à tes chameaux; soit celle que tu as destinée à ton serviteur Isaac, et je connaîtrai à cela que tu as été favorable à mon Seigneur. | Fa' che la fanciulla alla quale dirò: "Deh, abbassa la tua brocca perché io beva", e che mi risponderà: "Bevi, e darò da bere anche ai tuoi cammelli", sia quella che tu hai destinata al tuo servo Isacco. | 15 | And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder. | Et il arriva qu'avant qu'il eût achevé de parler, voici Rébecca fille de Béthuel, fils de Milca, femme de Nacor, frère d'Abraham, sortait ayant sa cruche sur son épaule. | Egli non aveva ancora finito di parlare, quando ecco uscire con la sua brocca sulla spalla Rebecca, figlia di Bethuel, figlio di Milkah, moglie di Nahor, fratello di Abrahamo. |
| 16 | And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up. | Et la jeune fille était très-belle à voir, et vierge, et nul homme ne l'avait connue. | 21 | And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the LORD had made his journey prosperous or not. | Et cet homme s'étonnait d'elle, considérant, sans dire mot, pour savoir si l'Eternel aurait fait prospérer son voyage, ou non. | Intanto quell'uomo la contemplava in silenzio, per sapere se l'Eterno avesse o no fatto prosperare il suo viaggio. |
| 22 | And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold; | Et quand les chameaux eurent achevé de boire, cet homme prit une bague d'or, du poids d'un demi-sicle, et deux bracelets pour mettre sur les mains de cette fille, pesant dix sicles d'or. | Quando i cammelli ebbero finito di bere, l'uomo prese un anello d'oro per il naso del peso di mezzo siclo e due braccialetti del peso di dieci sicli d'oro per i polsi di lei, e disse: |

| 26 | And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD. | Et cet homme s'inclina et se prosterna devant l'Eternel: | Allora l'uomo s'inchinò, adorò l'Eterno e disse: |
| 27 | And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren. | Et dit: Béni soit l'Eternel, le Dieu de mon Seigneur Abraham, qui n'a point cessé d'exercer sa gratuité et sa vérité envers mon Seigneur: et lors que j'étais en chemin, l'Eternel m'a conduit en la maison des frères de mon Seigneur. | Benedetto l'Eterno, il DIO di Abrahamo mio signore, che non ha cessato di usare la sua benignità e fedeltà verso il mio signore! | 28 | And the damsel ran, and told them of her mother's house these things. | Et la jeune fille courut, et rapporta toutes ces choses en la maison de sa mère. | E la fanciulla corse a raccontare queste cose a casa di sua madre. |
| 29 | And Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man, unto the well. | Or Rébecca avait un frère nommé Laban, qui courut dehors vers cet homme près de la fontaine. | Or Rebecca aveva un fratello chiamato Labano. E Labano corse fuori da quell'uomo alla fonte. |

| 32 | And the man came into the house: and he ungirded his camels, and gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men's feet that were with him. | L'homme donc entra dans la maison, et on désharnacha les chameaux, et on leur donna de la paille et du fourrage; et on apporta de l'eau, tant pour laver ses pieds, que les pieds de ceux qui étaient avec lui: | L'uomo entrò in casa, e Labano scaricò i cammelli diede strame e foraggio ai cammelli e portò acqua per lavare i piedi di lui e i piedi degli uomini che erano con lui. |
| 33 | And there was set meat before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on. | Et on lui présenta à manger. | 35 | And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses. | Or l'Eternel a béni abondamment mon Seigneur, et il est devenu grand; car il lui a donné des brebis, des boeufs, de l'argent, de l'or, des serviteurs, des servantes, des chameaux, et des ânes. | L'Eterno ha benedetto abbondantemente il mio signore, che è divenuto grande; gli ha dato pecore e buoi, argento e oro, servi e serve, cammelli e asini. |
| 36 | And Sarah my master's wife bare a son to my master when she was old: and unto him hath he given all that he hath. | Et Sara, femme de mon Seigneur, a enfanté dans sa vieillesse à mon Seigneur un fils, auquel il a donné tout ce qu'il a. | Or Sara, moglie del mio signore, ha partorito nella sua vecchiaia un figlio al mio padrone, che ha dato a lui tutto ciò che possiede. |

| 40 | And he said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father's house: | Et il me répondit: L'Eternel, devant la face duquel j'ai vécu, enverra son Ange avec toi, et fera prospérer ton voyage, et tu prendras pour mon fils une femme de ma parenté, et de la maison de mon père. | Ma egli rispose: "L'Eterno, davanti al quale ho camminato, manderà il suo angelo con te e farà prosperare il tuo viaggio, e tu prenderai per mio figlio una moglie dal mio parentado e dalla casa di mio padre. |
| 41 | Then shalt thou be clear from this my oath, when thou comest to my kindred; and if they give not thee one, thou shalt be clear from my oath. | Si tu vas vers ma parenté, tu seras alors quitte de l'exécration du serment que je te fais faire: et si on ne te la donne pas, tu seras quitte de l'exécration du serment que je te fais faire. | Sarai sciolto dal giuramento, fattomi, quando sarai andato dal mio parentado; se poi non vorranno dartela, allora sarai sciolto dal giuramento fattomi". |

| 44 | And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the LORD hath appointed out for my master's son. | Et qui me répondra: Bois, et même j'en puiserai pour tes chameaux, que celle-là soit la femme que l'Eternel a destinée au fils de mon Seigneur. | e che mi dirà: "Bevi pure e ne attingerò anche per i tuoi cammelli", sia la moglie che l'Eterno ha destinato al figlio del mio signore. |

| 50 | Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good. | Et Laban et Bethuel répondirent, en disant: Cette affaire est procédée de l'Eternel; nous ne te pouvons dire ni bien ni mal. | Allora Labano e Bethuel risposero e dissero: La cosa procede dall'Eterno; noi non possiamo parlarti né in bene né in male. |
