And he clave the wood for the burnt-offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. |

| 5 | Et Abraham dit à ses jeunes hommes: Restez ici, vous, avec l'âne; et moi et l'enfant nous irons jusque-là, et nous adorerons: et nous reviendrons vers vous. | Et Abraham dit à ses serviteurs: Demeurez ici avec l'âne. Moi et l'enfant nous irons jusque-là, et nous adorerons; puis nous reviendrons vers vous. | And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass, and I and the lad will go yonder; and we will worship, and come again to you. |
| 6 | Et Abraham prit le bois de l'holocauste, et le mit sur Isaac, son fils; et il prit dans sa main le feu et le couteau; et ils allaient les deux ensemble. | Et Abraham prit le bois de l'holocauste, et le mit sur Isaac son fils; puis il prit dans sa main le feu et le couteau, et ils s'en allèrent tous d'eux ensemble. | And Abraham took the wood of the burnt-offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son. And he took in his hand the fire and the knife. And they went both of them together. |

Et il dit: Voici le feu et le bois; mais où est l'agneau pour l'holocauste? | Alors Isaac parla à Abraham son père, et dit: Mon père! Abraham répondit: Me voici, mon fils. Et il dit: Voici le feu et le bois; mais où est l'agneau pour l'holocauste? | And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father. And he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold, the fire and the wood. But where is the lamb for a burnt-offering? |
| 8 | Et Abraham dit: Mon fils, Dieu se pourvoira de l'agneau pour l'holocauste. Et ils allaient les deux ensemble. | Et Abraham répondit: Mon fils, Dieu se pourvoira lui-même de l'agneau pour l'holocauste. Et ils marchèrent tous deux ensemble. | And Abraham said, God will provide himself the lamb for a burnt-offering, my son. So they went both of them together. |

Et Abraham bâtit là l'autel, et arrangea le bois, et lia Isaac, son fils, et le mit sur l'autel, sur le bois. | Et ils vinrent au lieu que Dieu lui avait dit, et Abraham y bâtit l'autel, et rangea le bois; et il lia Isaac son fils, et le mit sur l'autel, par-dessus le bois. | And they came to the place which God had told him of. And Abraham built the altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. |

| 11 | Mais l'Ange de l'Éternel lui cria des cieux, et dit: Abraham! Abraham! Et il dit: Me voici. | Mais l'ange de l'Éternel lui cria des cieux, et dit: Abraham, Abraham! Et il répondit: Me voici. | And the angel of Jehovah called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham. And he said, Here I am. |
| 12 | Et il dit: N'étends pas ta main sur l'enfant, et ne lui fais rien; car maintenant je sais que tu crains Dieu, et que tu ne m'as pas refusé ton fils, ton unique. | Et il dit: Ne porte pas ta main sur l'enfant, et ne lui fais rien. Car maintenant je sais que tu crains Dieu, puisque tu ne m'as pas refusé ton fils, ton unique. | And he said, Lay not thy hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him. For now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me. |
| 13 | Et Abraham leva ses yeux, et vit, et voici, il y avait derrière lui un bélier retenu à un buisson par les cornes; et Abraham alla et prit le bélier, et l'offrit en holocauste à la place de son fils. | Et Abraham leva les yeux et regarda, et voici derrière lui un bélier, retenu dans un buisson par les cornes. Alors Abraham alla prendre le bélier, et l'offrit en holocauste à la place de son fils. | And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold, behind [him] a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt-offering in the stead of his son. |
| 14 | Et Abraham appela le nom de ce lieu-là: Jéhovah-Jiré, comme on dit aujourd'hui: En la montagne de l'Éternel il y sera pourvu. | Et Abraham appela ce lieu-là, Jéhova-jiré (l'Éternel y pourvoira). De sorte qu'on dit aujourd'hui: Sur la montagne de l'Éternel il y sera pourvu. | And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh. As it is said to this day, In the mount of Jehovah it shall be provided. |
| 15 | Et l'Ange de l'Éternel cria des cieux à Abraham, une seconde fois, et dit: | Et l'ange de l'Éternel cria des cieux à Abraham pour la seconde fois, | And the angel of Jehovah called unto Abraham a second time out of heaven, |
| 16 | J'ai juré par moi-même, dit l'Éternel: Parce que tu as fait cette chose-là, et que tu n'as pas refusé ton fils, ton unique, | Et dit: Je jure par moi-même, dit l'Éternel, que, puisque tu as fait cela, et que tu n'as point refusé ton fils, ton unique, | and said, By myself have I sworn, saith Jehovah, because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, |
| 17 | certainement je te bénirai, et je multiplierai abondamment ta semence comme les étoiles des cieux et comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer; et ta semence possédera la porte de ses ennemis. | Je te bénirai certainement, et je multiplierai ta postérité comme les étoiles des cieux, et comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer; et ta postérité possédera la porte de ses ennemis. | that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is upon the seashore. And thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies. |
| 18 | Et toutes les nations de la terre se béniront en ta semence, parce que tu as écouté ma voix. | Et toutes les nations de la terre seront bénies en ta postérité, parce que tu as obéi à ma voix. | And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. Because thou hast obeyed my voice. |
| 19 | Et Abraham retourna vers ses jeunes hommes; et ils se levèrent, et s'en allèrent ensemble à Beër-Shéba; et Abraham habita à Beër-Shéba. | Alors Abraham retourna vers ses serviteurs; et ils se levèrent et s'en allèrent ensemble à Béer-Shéba; et Abraham demeura à Béer-Shéba. | So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beer-sheba. And Abraham dwelt at Beer-sheba. |
| 20 | Et il arriva, après ces choses, qu'on rapporta à Abraham en disant: Voici, Milca, elle aussi, a enfanté des enfants à Nakhor, ton frère: | Or, après ces choses, on fit rapport à Abraham, en disant: Voici, Milca a enfanté, elle aussi, des enfants à Nachor ton frère: | And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she also hath borne children unto they brother Nahor. |
| 21 | Uts, son premier-né; et Buz, son frère; et Kémuel, père d'Aram; | Uts son premier-né, Buz son frère, Kémuël, père d'Aram; | Uz his first-born, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram. |
| 22 | et Késed, et Hazo, et Pildash, et Jidlaph, et Béthuel. | Késed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph et Béthuël. | And Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel. |
| 23 | Or Béthuel engendra Rebecca. Milca enfanta ces huit à Nakhor, frère d'Abraham. | Et Béthuël a engendré Rébecca. Milca enfanta ces huit à Nachor, frère d'Abraham. | And Bethuel begat Rebekah. These eight did Milcah bear to Nahor, Abraham`s brother. |
| 24 | Et sa concubine, nommée Reüma, elle aussi enfanta Tébakh, et Gakham, et Thakhash, et Maaca. | Et sa concubine, nommée Réuma, enfanta, elle aussi, Thébah, Gaham, Tahash et Maaca. | And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she also bare Tebah, and Gaham, and Tahash, and Maacah. |
