| 2 | Et Abraham dit de Sara sa femme: C'est ma soeur. Et Abimélec, roi de Guérar, envoya enlever Sara. | And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister. And Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah. | Ora Abrahamo diceva di Sara sua moglie: E' mia sorella. Così Abimelek re di Gherar, mandò a prendere Sara. |
| 3 | Mais Dieu vint vers Abimélec, en songe, pendant la nuit, et lui dit: Voici, tu es mort, à cause de la femme que tu as prise; car elle a un mari. | But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, because of the woman whom thou hast taken. For she is a man`s wife. | Ma DIO venne da Abimelek in un sogno di notte, e gli disse: ecco, tu stai per morire, a motivo della donna che hai preso, perché ella è sposata. |
| 4 | Or, Abimélec ne s'était point approché d'elle. Et il répondit: Seigneur, feras-tu périr même une nation juste? | Now Abimelech had not come near her. And he said, Lord, wilt thou slay even a righteous nation? | Abimelek però non si era accostato a lei, e disse: Signore, faresti tu perire una nazione, anche quando fosse giusta? |
| 5 | Ne m'a-t-il pas dit: C'est ma soeur? Et elle, elle aussi, n'a-t-elle pas dit: C'est mon frère? C'est dans l'intégrité de mon coeur, et dans l'innocence de mes mains que j'ai fait cela. | Said he not himself unto me, She is my sister? And she, even she herself said, He is my brother. In the integrity of my heart and the innocency of my hands have I done this. | Non mi ha egli detto: "E' mia sorella", e lei stessa ha detto: "E' mio fratello"? Ho fatto questo nell'integrità del mio cuore e con mani innocenti. |
| 6 | Et Dieu lui dit en songe: Moi aussi je sais que tu l'as fait dans l'intégrité de ton cœur; aussi t'ai-je empêché de pécher contre moi; c'est pour cela que je n'ai point permis que tu la touches. | And God said unto him in the dream, Yea, I know that in the integrity of thy heart thou has done this, and I also withheld thee from sinning against me. Therefore suffered I thee not to touch her. | DIO gli disse nel sogno: Si, lo so che hai fatto questo nell'integrità del tuo cuore e ti ho quindi impedito dal peccare contro di me; per questo non ti ho permesso di toccarla. |
| 7 | Mais maintenant rends la femme de cet homme, car il est prophète; et il priera pour toi, et tu vivras. Mais si tu ne la rends pas, sache que tu mourras certainement, toi et tout ce qui est à toi. | Now therefore restore the man`s wife. For he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live. And if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine. | Ora dunque restituisci la moglie di quest'uomo, perché è un profeta; ed egli pregherà per te e tu vivrai. Ma se non la restituisci, sappi per certo che tu morrai, tu e tutti i tuoi. |
| 8 | Et Abimélec se leva de bon matin, et appela tous ses serviteurs, et leur fit entendre toutes ces paroles; et ces gens furent saisis de crainte. | And Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ear. And the men were sore afraid. | Così Abimelek si alzò il mattino presto, chiamò tutti i suoi servi e raccontò loro tutte queste cose, quegli uomini furono presi da grande paura. |
| 9 | Puis Abimélec appela Abraham et lui dit: Que nous as-tu fait? Et en quoi t'ai-je offensé, que tu aies fait venir sur moi et sur mon royaume un si grand péché? Tu as fait à mon égard des choses qui ne se font pas. | Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? And wherein have I sinned against thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? Thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done. | Poi Abimelek chiamò Abrahamo e gli disse: Che ci hai fatto? E che cosa ho io fatto contro di te, per aver fatto venire su di me e sul mio regno un peccato così grande? Tu mi hai fatto cose che non si dovevano fare. |
| 10 | Puis Abimélec dit à Abraham: Qu'avais-tu en vue, pour en agir ainsi? | And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing? | Poi Abimelek disse ad Abrahamo: Che cosa pensavi di fare agendo in questo modo?. |
| 11 | Et Abraham répondit: C'est que je me suis dit: Il n'y a sûrement aucune crainte de Dieu dans ce lieu, et ils me tueront à cause de ma femme. | And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place. And they will slay me for my wife`s sake. | Abrahamo rispose: L'ho fatto, perché dicevo fra me: "Certo, in questo luogo non c'è timore di DIO; e mi uccideranno a causa di mia moglie. |
| 12 | Mais aussi, en vérité, elle est ma soeur, fille de mon père; seulement, elle n'est point fille de ma mère; et elle est devenue ma femme. | And moreover she is indeed my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife: | Inoltre ella è veramente mia sorella, figlia di mio padre, ma non figlia di mia madre; ed è poi divenuta mia moglie. |
| 13 | Or, lorsque Dieu me fit errer loin de la maison de mon père, je lui dis: Voici la faveur que tu me feras: Dans tous les lieux où nous irons, dis de moi: C'est mon frère. | and it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father`s house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt show unto me. At every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother. | Ora quando DIO mi fece errare lontano dalla casa di mio padre, io le dissi: Questo è il favore che mi farai; dovunque andremo, dirai di me: E' mio fratello. |
| 14 | Alors Abimélec prit des brebis et des boeufs, des serviteurs et des servantes, et les donna à Abraham, et il lui rendit Sara sa femme. | And Abimelech took sheep and oxen, and men-servants and women-servants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife. | Allora Abimelek prese pecore, buoi, servi e serve, e li diede ad Abrahamo; e gli restituì sua moglie Sara. |
| 15 | Et Abimélec dit: Voici, mon pays est à ta disposition; habite où il te plaira. | And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee. Dwell where it pleaseth thee. | Poi Abimelek disse: Ecco, il mio paese ti sta davanti; dimora dovunque ti piace. |
| 16 | Et il dit à Sara: Voici, j'ai donné à ton frère mille pièces d'argent; voici, ce sera pour toi un voile sur les yeux, devant tous ceux qui sont avec toi; et auprès de tous tu seras justifiée. | And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver. Behold, it is for thee a covering of the eyes to all that are with thee. And in respect of all thou art righted. | E a Sara disse: Ecco, io ho dato a tuo fratello mille pezzi d'argento; questo servirà per coprire l'offesa fatta a te davanti a tutti quelli che sono con te; così sei giustificata davanti a tutti. |
| 17 | Et Abraham pria Dieu; et Dieu guérit Abimélec, sa femme et ses servantes, et elles enfantèrent. | And Abraham prayed unto God. And God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maid-servants. And they bare children. | Allora Abrahamo pregò DIO, e DIO guarì Abimelek, sua moglie e le sue serve, ed esse poterono partorire. |
| 18 | Car l'Éternel avait entièrement rendu stérile toute la maison d'Abimélec, à cause de Sara, femme d'Abraham. | For Jehovah had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abraham`s wife. | Poiché l'Eterno aveva del tutto resa sterile l'intera casa di Abimelek, a motivo di Sara moglie di Abrahamo. |
