| 14 | Un mâle incirconcis, qui n'aura pas été circoncis dans sa chair, sera exterminé du milieu de son peuple : il aura violé mon alliance. | And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant. | Et le mâle incirconcis, la chair du prépuce duquel n'aura point été circoncise, sera retranché du milieu de ses peuples, parce qu'il aura violé mon alliance. |

| 17 | Abraham tomba sur sa face ; il rit, et dit en son coeur : Naîtrait-il un fils à un homme de cent ans ? et Sara, âgée de quatre-vingt-dix ans, enfanterait-elle ? | Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? | Alors Abraham se prosterna la face en terre, et sourit, disant en son coeur: Naîtrait-il un fils à un homme âgé de cent ans? et Sara âgée de quatre-vingt- dix ans aurait-elle un enfant? |

| 19 | Dieu dit : Certainement Sara, ta femme, t'enfantera un fils ; et tu l'appelleras du nom d'Isaac. J'établirai mon alliance avec lui comme une alliance perpétuelle pour sa postérité après lui. | And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. | Et Dieu dit: Certainement Sara ta femme t'enfantera un fils, et tu appelleras son nom Isaac; et j'établirai mon alliance avec lui pour être une alliance perpétuelle pour sa postérité après lui. |
| 20 | A l'égard d'Ismaël, je t'ai exaucé. Voici, je le bénirai, je le rendrai fécond, et je le multiplierai à l'infini ; il engendrera douze princes, et je ferai de lui une grande nation. | And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. | Je t'ai aussi exaucé touchant Ismaël: voici, je l'ai béni, et je le ferai croître et multiplier très-abondamment. Il engendrera douze Princes, et je le ferai devenir une grande nation. |
| 21 | J'établirai mon alliance avec Isaac, que Sara t'enfantera à cette époque-ci de l'année prochaine. | But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year. | Mais j'établirai mon alliance avec Isaac, que Sara t'enfantera l'année qui vient, en cette même saison. |
| 22 | Lorsqu'il eut achevé de lui parler, Dieu s'éleva au-dessus d'Abraham. | And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham. | Et Dieu ayant achevé de parler, remonta de devant Abraham. |
| 23 | Abraham prit Ismaël, son fils, tous ceux qui étaient nés dans sa maison et tous ceux qu'il avait acquis à prix d'argent, tous les mâles parmi les gens de la maison d'Abraham ; et il les circoncit ce même jour, selon l'ordre que Dieu lui avait donné. | And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him. | Et Abraham prit son fils Ismaël, avec tous ceux qui étaient nés dans sa maison, et tous ceux qu'il avait achetés de son argent, tous les mâles qui étaient des gens de sa maison, et il circoncit la chair de leur prépuce en ce même jour-là, comme Dieu lui avait dit. |

| 27 | Et tous les gens de sa maison, nés dans sa maison, ou acquis à prix d'argent des étrangers, furent circoncis avec lui. | And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him. | Et tous les gens de sa maison, tant ceux qui étaient nés en la maison, que ceux qui avaient été achetés des étrangers par argent, furent circoncis avec lui. |
