| 17 | Abraham tomba sur sa face ; il rit, et dit en son coeur : Naîtrait-il un fils à un homme de cent ans ? et Sara, âgée de quatre-vingt-dix ans, enfanterait-elle ? | Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? | Alors Abraham tomba sur sa face; et il rit, et dit en son coeur: Naîtrait-il un enfant à un homme âgé de cent ans? et Sara, âgée de quatre-vingt-dix ans, enfanterait-elle? | Allora Abrahamo si prostrò con la faccia a terra e rise; e disse in cuor suo: Nascerà forse un figlio a un uomo di cento anni? J'établirai mon alliance avec lui comme une alliance perpétuelle pour sa postérité après lui. | And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. | Et Dieu dit: Certainement, Sara ta femme va t'enfanter un fils, et tu l'appelleras Isaac (rire), et j'établirai mon alliance avec lui, en alliance éternelle pour sa postérité après lui. | Ma DIO rispose: No, ma Sara tua moglie ti partorirà un figlio, e tu lo chiamerai Isacco; e io stabilirò il mio patto con lui, come un patto eterno con la sua discendenza dopo di lui. |

Voici, je le bénirai, je le rendrai fécond, et je le multiplierai à l'infini ; il engendrera douze princes, et je ferai de lui une grande nation. | And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. | Je t'exauce aussi touchant Ismaël: Voici, je le bénis, et je le ferai croître et multiplier très abondamment. | 22 | Lorsqu'il eut achevé de lui parler, Dieu s'éleva au-dessus d'Abraham. | And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham. | Et quand il eut achevé de parler avec lui, Dieu remonta d'auprès d'Abraham. | Quando ebbe finito di parlare con lui, DIO lasciò Abrahamo, levandosi in alto. |
| 23 | Abraham prit Ismaël, son fils, tous ceux qui étaient nés dans sa maison et tous ceux qu'il avait acquis à prix d'argent, tous les mâles parmi les gens de la maison d'Abraham ; et il les circoncit ce même jour, selon l'ordre que Dieu lui avait donné. | And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him. | Et Abraham prit Ismaël son fils et tous ceux qui étaient nés dans sa maison, et tous ceux qu'il avait achetés de son argent, tous les mâles parmi les gens de la maison d'Abraham; et il circoncit leur chair en ce même jour-là, comme Dieu le lui avait dit. | Allora Abrahamo prese Ismaele suo figlio, tutti quelli nati in casa sua e tutti quelli comprati col suo denaro, tutti i maschi fra la gente della casa di Abrahamo e, in quello stesso giorno, circoncise la carne del loro prepuzio, come DIO gli aveva detto di fare. |
