| 4 | Quant à moi, voici mon alliance est avec toi, et tu seras père d'une multitude de nations; | "Moi, voici mon alliance avec toi : tu deviendras père d'une multitude de nations. | As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be the father of a multitude of nations. |
| 5 | et ton nom ne sera plus appelé Abram, mais ton nom sera Abraham, car je t'ai établi père d'une multitude de nations. | On ne te nommera plus Abram, mais ton nom sera Abraham, car je te fais père d'une multitude de nations. | Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for the father of a multitude of nations have I made thee. |
| 6 | Et je te ferai fructifier extrêmement, et je te ferai devenir des nations; et des rois sortiront de toi. | Je te ferai croître extraordinairement, je ferai de toi des nations, et des rois sortiront de toi. | And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. |
| 7 | Et j'établirai mon alliance entre moi et toi et ta semence après toi, en leurs générations, pour être une alliance perpétuelle, afin que je sois ton Dieu, à toi et à ta semence après toi. | J'établis mon alliance, entre moi et toi et tes descendants après toi, d'âge en âge, en une alliance perpétuelle, pour être ton Dieu et le Dieu de tes descendants après toi. | And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee. |
| 8 | Et je te donne, et à ta semence après toi, le pays de ton séjournement, tout le pays de Canaan, en possession perpétuelle, et je serai leur Dieu. | Je te donnerai, à toi et à tes descendants après toi, le pays où tu séjournes comme étranger, tout le pays de Chanaan, en possession perpétuelle, et je serai leur Dieu". | And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land of thy sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. |
| 9 | Et Dieu dit à Abraham: Et toi, tu garderas mon alliance, toi et ta semence après toi, en leurs générations. | Dieu dit à Abraham : "Et toi, tu garderas mon alliance, toi et tes descendants après toi, d'âge en âge. | And God said unto Abraham, And as for thee, thou shalt keep my covenant, thou, and thy seed after thee throughout their generations. |
| 10 | C'est ici mon alliance, que vous garderez entre moi et vous et ta semence après toi: que tout mâle d'entre vous soit circoncis. | Voici l'alliance que vous avez à garder, l'alliance entre moi et vous, et tes descendants après toi tout mâle parmi vous sera circoncis. | This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee: every male among you shall be circumcised. |
| 11 | Et vous circoncirez la chair de votre prépuce, et ce sera un signe d'alliance entre moi et vous. | Vous vous circoncirez dans votre chair, et ce sera le signe de l'alliance entre moi et vous. | And ye shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of a covenant betwixt me and you. |
| 12 | Et tout mâle de huit jours, en vos générations, sera circoncis parmi vous, celui qui est né dans la maison, et celui qui est acheté à prix d'argent, tout fils d'étranger qui n'est point de ta semence. | Quand il aura huit jours, tout mâle parmi vous, d'âge en âge, sera circoncis, qu'il soit né dans la maison, ou qu'il ait été acquis à prix d'argent d'un étranger quelconque, qui n'est pas de ta race. | And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any foreigner that is not of thy seed. |
| 13 | On ne manquera point de circoncire celui qui est né dans ta maison et celui qui est acheté de ton argent; et mon alliance sera en votre chair comme alliance perpétuelle. | On devra circoncire le mâle né dans la maison ou acquis à prix d'argent, et mon alliance sera dans votre chair comme alliance perpétuelle. | He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. |
| 14 | Et le mâle incirconcis, qui n'aura point été circoncis en la chair de son prépuce, cette âme sera retranchée de ses peuples: il a violé mon alliance. | Un mâle incirconcis, qui n'aura pas été circoncis dans sa chair, sera retranché de son peuple : il aura violé mon alliance." | And the uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant. |
| 15 | Dieu dit à Abraham: Quant à Saraï, ta femme, tu n'appelleras plus son nom Saraï; mais Sara sera son nom. | Dieu dit à Abraham : "Tu ne donneras plus à Saraï, ta femme, le nom de Saraï, car son nom est Sara. | And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. |
| 16 | Et je la bénirai, et même je te donnerai d'elle un fils; et je la bénirai, et elle deviendra des nations; des rois de peuples sortiront d'elle. | Je la bénirai, et je te donnerai aussi d'elle un fils ; je la bénirai, et elle deviendra des nations ; des rois de peuples sortiront d'elle." | And I will bless her, and moreover I will give thee a son of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be [a mother of] nations; kings of peoples shall be of her. |
| 17 | Abraham tomba sur sa face, et il rit et dit en son coeur: Naîtrait-il un fils à un homme âgé de cent ans? et Sara, âgée de quatre-vingt-dix ans, enfanterait-elle? | Abraham tomba la face contre terre, et il rit, disant dans son coeur Naîtra-t-il un fils à un homme de cent ans ? Et Sara, une femme de quatre-vingt-dix ans, enfantera-t-elle ? | Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? |
| 18 | Et Abraham dit à Dieu: Oh, qu'Ismaël vive devant toi! | Et Abraham dit à Dieu : "Oh ! qu' Ismaël vive devant votre face ! " | And Abraham said unto God, Oh that Ishmael might live before thee! |
| 19 | Et Dieu dit: Certainement Sara, ta femme, t'enfantera un fils; et tu appelleras son nom Isaac; et j'établirai mon alliance avec lui, comme alliance perpétuelle, pour sa semence après lui. | Dieu dit : "Oui, Sara, ta femme, t'enfantera un fils ; tu le nommeras Isaac, et j'établirai mon alliance avec lui comme une alliance perpétuelle pour ses descendants après lui. | And God said, Nay, but Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him. |
| 20 | Et, à l'égard d'Ismaël, je t'ai exaucé: voici, je l'ai béni, et je le ferai fructifier et multiplier extrêmement; il engendrera douze chefs, et je le ferai devenir une grande nation. | Quant à Ismaël, je t'ai entendu. Voici, je l'ai béni, je le rendrai fécond et je le multiplierai extrêmement ; il engendrera douze princes, et je ferai de lui une grande nation. | And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. |
| 21 | Mais mon alliance, je l'établirai avec Isaac, que Sara t'enfantera en cette saison, l'année qui vient. | Mais mon alliance, je l'établirai avec Isaac, que Sara t'enfantera l'année prochaine, à cette époque." | But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year. |
| 22 | Et ayant achevé de parler avec lui, Dieu monta d'auprès d'Abraham. | Et ayant achevé de parler avec lui, Dieu remonta d'auprès d'Abraham. | And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham. |
| 23 | Et Abraham pris Ismaël, son fils, et tous ceux qui étaient nés dans sa maison, et tous ceux qui avaient été achetés de son argent, tous les mâles parmi les gens de la maison d'Abraham, et il circoncit la chair de leur prépuce en ce même jour-là, comme Dieu lui avait dit. | Abraham prit Ismaël, son fils, ainsi que tous les serviteurs nés dans sa maison et tous ceux qu'il avait acquis à prix d'argent, tous les mâles parmi les gens de sa maison, et il les circoncit en ce jour même, comme Dieu le lui avait commandé. | And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham`s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him. |

| 25 | et Ismaël, son fils, était âgé de treize ans lorsqu'il fut circoncis en la chair de son prépuce. | et Ismaël, son fils, avait treize ans lorsqu'il fut circoncis. | And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. |
| 26 | En ce même jour-là Abraham fut circoncis, et Ismaël son fils, | Ce même jour, Abraham fut circoncis, ainsi qu'Ismaël, son fils; et tous tes hommes de sa maison, | In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son. |
| 27 | et tous les hommes de sa maison, ceux qui étaient nés dans la maison; et ceux qui avaient été achetés à prix d'argent d'entre les fils de l'étranger, furent circoncis avec lui. | ceux qui étaient nés chez lui et ceux qui avaient été acquis des étrangers à prix d'argent, furent circoncis avec lui. | And all the men of his house, those born in the house, and those bought with money of a foreigner, were circumcised with him. |
