Ils eurent donc des briques au lieu de pierres, et le bitume leur fut au lieu de mortier. | E si dissero l'un l'altro: Orsù, facciamo dei mattoni e cuociamoli col fuoco!. E usarono mattoni invece di pietre e bitume invece di malta. |
| 4 | And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. | Puis ils dirent: Or ça, bâtissons-nous une ville, et une tour de laquelle le sommet soit jusqu'aux cieux; et acquérons-nous de la réputation, de peur que nous ne soyons dispersés sur toute la terre. | E dissero: Orsù, costruiamoci una città e una torre la cui cima giunga fino al cielo, e facciamoci un nome, per non essere dispersi sulla faccia di tutta la terra. |
