Or, aussi longtemps que l'héritier est enfant, je dis qu'il ne diffère en rien d'un esclave, quoiqu'il soit le maître de tout ;Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;But I say that so long as the heir is a child, he differeth nothing from a bondservant though he is lord of all;Ora io dico che per tutto il tempo che l'erede è minorenne non è affatto differente dal servo, benché sia signore di tutto,
But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.but is under guardians and stewards until the day appointed of the father.ma egli è sotto tutori e amministratori fino al tempo prestabilito dal padre.
Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the rudiments of the world:Così anche noi, mentre eravamo minorenni, eravamo tenuti in servitù sotto gli elementi del mondo,
mais, lorsque les temps ont été accomplis, Dieu a envoyé son Fils, né d'une femme, né sous la loi,But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,ma, quando è venuto il compimento del tempo, Dio ha mandato suo Figlio, nato da donna, sottoposto alla legge,
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.that he might redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.perché riscattasse quelli che erano sotto la legge, affinché noi ricevessimo l'adozione.
Père !And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.And because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.So that thou art no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.Perciò tu non sei più servo, ma figlio; e se sei figlio, sei anche erede di Dio per mezzo di Cristo.
Autrefois, ne connaissant pas Dieu, vous serviez des dieux qui ne le sont pas de leur nature ;Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.Howbeit at that time, not knowing God, ye were in bondage to them that by nature are no gods:Ma allora, non conoscendo Dio, servivate a coloro che per natura non sono dèi;
But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?ora invece, avendo conosciuto Dio, anzi essendo piuttosto stati conosciuti da Dio, come mai vi rivolgete di nuovo ai deboli e poveri elementi, ai quali desiderate di essere di nuovo asserviti?
Vous observez les jours, les mois, les temps et les années !Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.Ye observe days, and months, and seasons, and years.
I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.I am afraid of you, lest by any means I have bestowed labor upon you in vain.
Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all.I beseech you, brethren, become as I [am], for I also [am become] as ye [are]. Ye did me no wrong:Siate come me, perché anch'io sono come voi; fratelli, ve ne prego, voi non mi avete fatto alcun torto.
Vous ne m'avez fait aucun tort. Vous savez que ce fut à cause d'une infirmité de la chair que je vous ai pour la première fois annoncé l'Évangile.Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.but ye know that because of an infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you the first time:Ora voi sapete come nel passato io vi evangelizzai a causa di una infermità della carne;
And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.and that which was a temptation to you in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but ye received me as an angel of God, [even] as Christ Jesus.e voi non disprezzaste né aveste a schifo la prova che era nella mia carne ma mi accoglieste come un angelo di Dio, come Cristo Gesù stesso.
Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.Where then is that gratulation of yourselves? for I bear you witness, that, if possible, ye would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me.Cos'è dunque avvenuto della vostra allegrezza?
Suis-je devenu votre ennemi en vous disant la vérité ?Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?So then am I become your enemy, by telling you the truth?
They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.They zealously seek you in no good way; nay, they desire to shut you out, that ye may seek them.
But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.But it is good to be zealously sought in a good matter at all times, and not only when I am present with you.
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ be formed in you--Figli miei, che io partorisco di nuovo, finché Cristo sia formato in voi!
I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you.but I could wish to be present with you now, and to change my tone; for I am perplexed about you.
Dites-moi, vous qui voulez être sous la loi, n'entendez-vous point la loi ?Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, one by the handmaid, and one by the freewoman.
But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.Howbeit the [son] by the handmaid is born after the flesh; but the [son] by the freewoman [is born] through promise.
Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.Which things contain an allegory: for these [women] are two covenants; one from mount Sinai, bearing children unto bondage, which is Hagar.
For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.Now this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia and answereth to the Jerusalem that now is: for she is in bondage with her children.
Mais la Jérusalem d'en haut est libre, c'est notre mère ;But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is our mother.
For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: For more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath the husband.
Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise.
But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him [that was born] after the Spirit, so also it is now.
Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.Howbeit what saith the scripture? Cast out the handmaid and her son: for the son of the handmaid shall not inherit with the son of the freewoman.
So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.Wherefore, brethren, we are not children of a handmaid, but of the freewoman.
