| 4 | L'Éternel lui dit : Passe au milieu de la ville, au milieu de Jérusalem, et fais une marque sur le front des hommes qui soupirent et qui gémissent à cause de toutes les abominations qui s'y commettent. | And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. | Et Yahweh lui dit : "Passe par le milieu de la ville, par le milieu de Jérusalem, et marque d'un Thau le front des hommes qui soupirent et qui gémissent à cause de toutes les abominations qui s'y commettent." | e l'Eterno disse: Passa in mezzo alla città, in mezzo a Gerusalemme, e fa' un segno sulla fronte degli uomini che sospirano e gemono per tutte le abominazioni che si commettono nel suo mezzo. |

Ils commencèrent par les anciens qui étaient devant la maison. | Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. | Vieillard, jeune homme, jeune fille, enfant, femme, tuez-les jusqu'à extermination; mais de quiconque porte sur lui le Thau, n'approchez pas. Seigneur Éternel, détruiras-tu tout ce qui reste d'Israël, en répandant ta fureur sur Jérusalem ? | And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem? | Et quand ils eurent frappé, comme je restais seul, je tombai sur ma face, je m'écriai et je dis : "Ah! | 9 | Il me répondit : L'iniquité de la maison d'Israël et de Juda est grande, excessive ; le pays est rempli de meurtres, la ville est pleine d'injustice, car ils disent : L'Éternel a abandonné le pays, l'Éternel ne voit rien. | Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not. | Il me dit : "L'iniquité de la maison d'Israël et de Juda est grande, très grande.
