| 4 | And the glory of Jehovah came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. | E la gloria dell'Eterno entrò nel tempio per la porta che guarda a est. |
| 5 | And the Spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of Jehovah filled the house. | Quindi lo Spirito mi levò in alto e mi portò nel cortile interno; ed ecco, la gloria dell'Eterno riempiva il tempio. |

| 7 | And he said unto me, Son of man, [this is] the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever. And the house of Israel shall no more defile my holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, and by the dead bodies of their kings [in] their high places; | e mi disse: Figlio d'uomo, questo è il luogo del mio trono e il luogo delle piante dei miei piedi, dove abiterò in mezzo ai figli d'Israele per sempre. E la casa d'Israele non contaminerà più il mio santo nome, né essi né i loro re, con le loro prostituzioni e con i cadaveri dei loro re sui loro alti luoghi, |
| 8 | in their setting of their threshold by my threshold, and their door-post beside my door-post, and there was [but] the wall between me and them; and they have defiled my holy name by their abominations which they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger. | mettendo la loro soglia accanto alla mia soglia e i loro stipiti accanto ai miei stipiti, con solamente una parete fra me e loro, contaminando così il mio santo nome con le abominazioni che commettevano; perciò nella mia ira li ho distrutti. |
| 9 | Now let them put away their whoredom, and the dead bodies of their kings, far from me; and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever. | Ora allontaneranno da me le loro prostituzioni e i cadaveri dei loro re, e io abiterò in mezzo a loro per sempre. |
| 10 | Thou, son of man, show the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern. | Tu, figlio d'uomo, descrivi il tempio alla casa d'Israele, perché si vergognino delle loro iniquità. Ne misurino le dimensioni |
| 11 | And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, make known unto them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the egresses thereof, and the entrances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof; and write it in their sight; that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them. | e, se si vergognano di tutto ciò che hanno fatto, fa' loro conoscere il modello del tempio e la sua disposizione, le sue uscite e i suoi ingressi l'intero suo modello e tutti i suoi statuti, tutte le sue forme e tutte le sue leggi; mettili per iscritto sotto i loro occhi affinché osservino l'intero suo modello e tutti i suoi statuti e li mettano in pratica. |
| 12 | This is the law of the house: upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house. | Questa è la legge del tempio. Tutto il territorio che sta attorno alla sommità del monte sarà santissimo. Ecco, questa è la legge del tempio. |
| 13 | And these are the measures of the altar by cubits (the cubit is a cubit and a handbreadth): the bottom shall be a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge thereof round about a span; and this shall be the base of the altar. | Queste sono le misure dell'altare in cubiti (il cubito è un cubito e un palmo): la base ha un cubito d'altezza e un cubito di larghezza, con un orlo lungo tutto il suo bordo di una spanna. | 14 | And from the bottom upon the ground to the lower ledge shall be two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the lesser ledge to the greater ledge shall be four cubits, and the breadth a cubit. | dalla base a terra fino alla piattaforma inferiore ci sono due cubiti; la piattaforma è larga un cubito; dalla piattaforma più piccola alla piattaforma più grande ci sono quattro cubiti; la piattaforma è larga un cubito. |
| 15 | And the upper altar shall be four cubits; and from the altar hearth and upward there shall be four horns. | Il focolare dell'altare è alto quattro cubiti, e dal focolare dell'altare si elevano quattro corni. |
| 16 | And the altar hearth shall be twelve [cubits] long by twelve broad, square in the four sides thereof. | Il focolare dell'altare è lungo dodici cubiti e largo dodici cubiti, cioè un quadrato perfetto. |
| 17 | And the ledge shall be fourteen [cubits] long by fourteen broad in the four sides thereof; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and the bottom thereof shall be a cubit round about; and the steps thereof shall look toward the east. | La piattaforma superiore nei suoi quattro lati è lunga quattordici cubiti e larga quattordici, con un orlo intorno di mezzo cubito; i suoi gradini guardano a est. |
| 18 | And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt-offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon. | Quindi mi disse: Figlio d'uomo, così dice il Signore l'Eterno: Questi sono gli statuti per l'altare quando sarà costruito per offrirvi gli olocausti e spruzzarvi sopra il sangue. |
| 19 | Thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that are of the seed of Zadok, who are near unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord Jehovah, a young bullock for a sin-offering. | Ai sacerdoti levitici che sono della stirpe di Tsadok, i quali si avvicinano a me per servirmi. dice il Signore, l'Eterno, tu darai un torello in sacrificio per il peccato. |
| 20 | And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the ledge, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse it and make atonement for it. | Prenderai un po' del suo sangue e lo metterai sui quattro corni dell'altare, sui quattro angoli della piattaforma e tutt'intorno sull'orlo; così lo purificherai e farai l'espiazione per esso. |
| 21 | Thou shalt also take the bullock of the sin-offering, and it shall be burnt in the appointed place of the house, without the sanctuary. | Poi prenderai il torello del sacrificio per il peccato, e lo si brucerà in un luogo designato del tempio, fuori del santuario. |
| 22 | And on the second day thou shalt offer a he-goat without blemish for a sin-offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they did cleanse it with the bullock. | Il secondo giorno offrirai in sacrificio per il peccato un capro senza difetto, e con esso si purificherà l'altare come lo si è purificato col torello. |
| 23 | When thou hast made an end of cleansing it, thou shalt offer a young bullock without blemish, and a ram out of the flock without blemish. | Terminata la sua purificazione, offrirai un torello senza difetto e un montone del gregge senza difetto. |
| 24 | And thou shalt bring them near before Jehovah, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt-offering unto Jehovah. | Li presenterai davanti all'Eterno, e i sacerdoti getteranno su di loro il sale e li offriranno in olocausto all'Eterno. |
| 25 | Seven days shalt thou prepare every day a goat for a sin-offering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish. | Per sette giorni offrirai ogni giorno un capro in sacrificio per il peccato; verrà pure offerto un torello e un montone del gregge, entrambi senza difetto. |
| 26 | Seven days shall they make atonement for the altar and purify it; so shall they consecrate it. | Per sette giorni si farà l'espiazione per l'altare lo si purificherà e lo si consacrerà. |
| 27 | And when they have accomplished the days, it shall be that upon the eighth day, and forward, the priests shall make your burnt-offerings upon the altar, and your peace-offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord Jehovah. | Terminati questi giorni, dall'ottavo giorno in poi, i sacerdoti offriranno sull'altare i vostri olocausti e i vostri sacrifici di ringraziamento, e io vi gradirò, dice il Signore, l'Eterno. |
