| 1 | Et toi, fils d'homme, prends une brique et mets-la devant toi, et trace sur elle une ville, Jérusalem. | Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and portray upon it a city, even Jerusalem: |
| 2 | Et mets le siège contre elle, et bâtis contre elle des tours, et élève contre elle une terrasse, et pose des camps contre elle, et place contre elle des béliers tout autour. | and lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it; set camps also against it, and plant battering rams against it round about. |
| 3 | Et toi, prends une plaque de fer, et mets-la comme un mur de fer entre toi et la ville; et dresse ta face contre elle, et elle sera assiégée, et tu l'assiégeras: ce sera un signe pour la maison d'Israël. | And take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face toward it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel. |
| 4 | Et toi, couche-toi sur ton côté gauche, et mets sur lui l'iniquité de la maison d'Israël: le nombre des jours que tu coucheras sur ce côté, tu porteras leur iniquité. | Moreover lie thou upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it; [according to] the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it, thou shalt bear their iniquity. |
| 5 | Et moi, je t'ai assigné les années de leur iniquité selon le nombre des jours, trois cent quatre-vingt-dix jours, et tu porteras l'iniquité de la maison d'Israël. | For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be unto thee a number of days, even three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. |
| 6 | Et quand tu auras accompli ceux-là, tu te coucheras une seconde fois sur ton côté droit, et tu porteras l'iniquité de la maison de Juda, quarante jours; je t'ai assigné un jour pour chaque année. | And again, when thou hast accomplished these, thou shalt lie on thy right side, and shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah: forty days, each day for a year, have I appointed it unto thee. |
| 7 | Et tu dresseras ta face vers le siège de Jérusalem; et ton bras sera découvert, et tu prophétiseras contre elle. | And thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with thine arm uncovered; and thou shalt prophesy against it. |
| 8 | Et voici, j'ai mis sur toi des cordes, et tu ne te tourneras point de l'un de tes côtés sur l'autre, jusqu'à ce que tu aies accompli les jours de ton siège. | And, behold, I lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to the other, till thou hast accomplished the days of thy siege. |
| 9 | Et toi, prends du froment, et de l'orge, et des fèves, et des lentilles, et du millet, et de l'épeautre; et tu les mettras dans un même vase, et tu t'en feras du pain selon le nombre des jours que tu te coucheras sur ton côté: tu en mangeras trois cent quatre-vingt-dix jours. | Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof; [according to] the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, even three hundred and ninety days, shalt thou eat thereof. |
| 10 | Et ton manger que tu mangeras sera au poids, vingt sicles par jour; tu le mangeras de temps en temps. | And thy food which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it. |
| 11 | Et l'eau, tu la boiras à la mesure, un sixième de hin; tu la boiras de temps en temps. | And thou shalt drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin: from time to time shalt thou drink. |
| 12 | Et tu mangeras cela préparé comme un gâteau d'orge, et tu le cuiras sous leurs yeux avec des excréments sortis de l'homme. | And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it in their sight with dung that cometh out of man. |
| 13 | Et l'Éternel dit: Les fils d'Israël mangeront ainsi leur pain impur parmi les nations où je les chasserai. | And Jehovah said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations whither I will drive them. |
| 14 | Et je dis: Ah, Seigneur Éternel! voici, mon âme ne s'est pas rendue impure, et, depuis ma jeunesse jusqu'à maintenant, je n'ai mangé de rien de ce qui est mort de soi-même ou qui a été déchiré, et aucune chair impure n'est entrée dans ma bouche. | Then said I, Ah Lord Jehovah! behold, my soul hath not been polluted; for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn of beasts; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth. |
| 15 | Et il me dit: Regarde, je t'ai donné la fiente du bétail au lieu des excréments de l'homme, et tu cuiras ton pain sur elle. | Then he said unto me, See, I have given thee cow`s dung for man`s dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread thereon. |
| 16 | Et il me dit: Fils d'homme, voici, je brise le bâton du pain dans Jérusalem; et ils mangeront le pain au poids et avec inquiétude, et ils boiront l'eau à la mesure et avec stupeur, | Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with fearfulness; and they shall drink water by measure, and in dismay: |
| 17 | parce que le pain et l'eau manqueront; et ils seront dans la stupeur, les uns et les autres, et ils se consumeront dans leur iniquité. | that they may want bread and water, and be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity. |
