| 3 | Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : Voici que je viens à toi, Pharaon, roi d'Égypte, toi le grand crocodile, couché au milieu de tes fleuves, qui as dit : "Mon fleuve est à moi, et c'est moi qui me le suis fait." | speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster that lieth in the midst of his rivers, that hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself. |
| 4 | Je mettrai des crochets dans tes mâchoires, et je ferai s'attacher à tes écailles les poissons de tes fleuves; et je te ferai monter du milieu de tes fleuves, toi et tous les poissons de tes fleuves, attachés à tes écailles; | And I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales; and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, with all the fish of thy rivers which stick unto thy scales. |
| 5 | et je te jetterai au désert, toi et tous les poissons de tes fleuves; tu tomberas sur la face des champs, tu ne seras ni relevé, ni ramassé; je te donne en pâture aux bêtes de la terre et aux oiseaux du ciel; | And I will cast thee forth into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open field; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered; I have given thee for food to the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the heavens. |
| 6 | et tous les habitants de l'Égypte sauront que je suis Yahweh -- parce qu'ils ont été un appui de roseau pour la maison d'Israël! | And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am Jehovah, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel. |
| 7 | Quand ils te prennent avec la main, tu casses, et tu leur déchires toute l'épaule; et quand ils s'appuient sur toi, tu te brises, tu les fais se tenir sur leurs reins à tous. | When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and didst rend all their shoulders; and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand. |
| 8 | C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : Voici que je ferai venir sur toi l'épée et j'exterminerai du milieu de toi hommes et bêtes; | Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and will cut off from thee man and beast. |
| 9 | et la terre d'Egypte deviendra une désolation et un désert, et l'on saura que je suis Yahweh. Parce que Pharaon a dit : "Le fleuve est à moi, et c'est moi qui l'ai fait, " | And the land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste; and they shall know that I am Jehovah. Because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it; |
| 10 | à cause de cela, voici que je viens à toi et à tes fleuves et je ferai du pays d'Egypte des ruines désertes et désolées, de Migdol a Syène, et jusqu'à la frontière de l'Ethiopie. | therefore, behold, I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation, from the tower of Seveneh even unto the border of Ethiopia. |
| 11 | Il n'y passera nul pied d'homme, et nul pied de bête n'y passera, et il sera inhabité pendant quarante ans. | No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years. |
| 12 | Je ferai du pays d'Egypte une désolation; au milieu des pays désolés, et ses villes, au milieu des villes ruinées, seront une désolation, durant quarante ans; je disperserai les Egyptiens parmi tes nations; et je les disséminerai en divers pays. | And I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be a desolation forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries. |
| 13 | Car ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : Au bout de quarante ans, je rassemblerai les Egyptiens; d'entre tes peuples chez lesquels ils auront été dispersés; | For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the peoples whither they were scattered; |
| 14 | je ferai revenir tes captifs d'Egypte, et je les ramènerai dans le pays de Pathros, dans le pays de leur origine, et ils y seront un humble royaume. | and I will bring back the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their birth; and they shall be there a base kingdom. |
| 15 | L'Egypte sera humble entre les royaumes; et elle ne s'élèvera plus au-dessus des nations; je réduirai leur nombre, afin qu'ils ne dominent pas sur les nations. | It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it any more lift itself up above the nations: and I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations. |
| 16 | Ils ne seront plus pour la maison d'Israël un objet de confiance; ils lui rappelleront l'iniquité qu'elle commettait en se tournant vers eux; et l'on saura que je suis le Seigneur Yahweh." | And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to remembrance, when they turn to look after them: and they shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah. |
| 17 | La vingt-septième année, au premier mois, le premier du mois, la parole de Yahweh me fut adressée en ces termes : | And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first [month], in the first [day] of the month, the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, |
| 18 | "Fils de l'homme, Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, a fait faire à son armée un rude service contre Tyr; toute tête est devenue chauve, toute épaule meurtrie; et il n'a retiré de Tyr aucun salaire, ni pour lui, ni pour son armée, pour le service qu'il a fait contre elle. | Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was worn; yet had he no wages, nor his army, from Tyre, for the service that he had served against it. |
| 19 | C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : Voici que je donne à Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, le pays d'Égypte; il en emportera les richesses; il dépouillera ce qu'il y a à dépouiller, il pillera son butin et prendra ses dépouilles et ce sera un salaire pour son armée. | Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry off her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army. |
| 20 | Pour prix du travail qu'il a fait contre Tyr, je lui donne le pays d'Egypte, parce qu'ils ont travaillé pour moi --oracle du Seigneur Yahweh. | I have given him the land of Egypt as his recompense for which he served, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord Jehovah. |
| 21 | En ce jour-là, je ferai pousser une corne à la maison d'Israël, et je te donnerai d'ouvrir la bouche au milieu d'eux; et ils sauront que je suis Yahweh." | In that day will I cause a horn to bud forth unto the house of Israel, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am Jehovah. |
