And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to enquire of the LORD, and sat before me. 2	Et la parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots :	Et la parole de l'Éternel vint à moi, disant:	Then came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,	And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
3	Fils de l'homme, parle aux anciens d'Israël, et dis-leur : Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Est-ce pour me consulter que vous êtes venus ? Je suis vivant ! je ne me laisserai pas consulter par vous, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.	Fils d'homme, parle aux anciens d'Israël, et dis-leur: Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Etes-vous venus pour me consulter? Je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, si je suis consulté par vous!	Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye come to enquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you. 4	Veux-tu les juger, veux-tu les juger, fils de l'homme ? Fais-leur connaître les abominations de leurs pères !	Les jugeras-tu, fils d'homme? 5	Tu leur diras : Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Le jour où j'ai choisi Israël, j'ai levé ma main vers la postérité de la maison de Jacob, et je me suis fait connaître à eux dans le pays d'Égypte ; j'ai levé ma main vers eux, en disant : Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu. 6	En ce jour-là, j'ai levé ma main vers eux, pour les faire passer du pays d'Égypte dans un pays que j'avais cherché pour eux, pays où coulent le lait et le miel, le plus beau de tous les pays.	-en ce jour-là je leur levai ma main de les faire sortir du pays d'Égypte pour les amener dans le pays sur lequel j'avais jeté les yeux pour eux, pays ruisselant de lait et de miel, qui est un ornement entre tous les pays; et je leur dis:	In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:	in that day I sware unto them, to bring them forth out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.
7	Je leur dis : Rejetez chacun les abominations qui attirent ses regards, et ne vous souillez pas par les idoles de l'Égypte ! Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu.	Que chacun de vous rejette les abominations que ses yeux regardent, et ne vous rendez pas impurs par les idoles de l'Égypte. Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu.	Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. 8	Et ils se révoltèrent contre moi, et ils ne voulurent pas m'écouter. Aucun ne rejeta les abominations qui attiraient ses regards, et ils n'abandonnèrent point les idoles de l'Égypte. J'eus la pensée de répandre ma fureur sur eux, d'épuiser contre eux ma colère, au milieu du pays d'Égypte.	Et ils se rebellèrent contre moi, et ne voulurent pas m'écouter; aucun d'eux ne rejeta les abominations que ses yeux regardaient, ni ne quitta les idoles de l'Égypte; et je dis que je verserais ma fureur sur eux, et que je consommerais ma colère sur eux, au milieu du pays d'Égypte.	But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt. 9	Néanmoins j'ai agi par égard pour mon nom, afin qu'il ne soit pas profané aux yeux des nations parmi lesquelles ils se trouvaient, et aux yeux desquelles je m'étais fait connaître à eux, pour les faire sortir du pays d'Égypte.	Mais j'ai agi à cause de mon nom, afin de ne pas le profaner aux yeux des nations au milieu desquelles ils étaient, aux yeux desquelles je m'étais fait connaître à eux, en les faisant sortir du pays d'Égypte.	But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.	But I wrought for my name`s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.
10	Et je les fis sortir du pays d'Égypte, et je les conduisis dans le désert.	Et je les fis sortir du pays d'Égypte, et les amenai au désert;	Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness. 11	Je leur donnai mes lois et leur fis connaître mes ordonnances, que l'homme doit mettre en pratique, afin de vivre par elles.	et je leur donnai mes statuts et leur fis connaître mes ordonnances, - par lesquels, s'il les pratique, un homme vivra.	And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.	And I gave them my statutes, and showed them mine ordinances, which if a man do, he shall live in them.
12	Je leur donnai aussi mes sabbats comme un signe entre moi et eux, pour qu'ils connussent que je suis l'Éternel qui les sanctifie.	Et je leur donnai aussi mes sabbats, pour être un signe entre moi et eux, afin qu'ils connussent que je suis l'Éternel qui les sanctifie.	Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them. 13	Et la maison d'Israël se révolta contre moi dans le désert. Ils ne suivirent point mes lois, et ils rejetèrent mes ordonnances, que l'homme doit mettre en pratique, afin de vivre par elles, et ils profanèrent à l'excès mes sabbats. J'eus la pensée de répandre sur eux ma fureur dans le désert, pour les anéantir.	Et la maison d'Israël se rebella contre moi dans le désert; ils ne marchèrent pas dans mes statuts, et ils rejetèrent mes ordonnances, - par lesquels, s'il les pratique, un homme vivra; et ils profanèrent extrêmement mes sabbats; et je dis que je verserais sur eux ma fureur dans le désert, pour les consumer.	But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.	But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they rejected mine ordinances, which if a man keep, he shall live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
14	Néanmoins j'ai agi par égard pour mon nom, afin qu'il ne soit pas profané aux yeux des nations en présence desquelles je les avait fait sortir d'Égypte.	Mais j'ai agi à cause de mon nom, afin de ne pas le profaner aux yeux des nations sous les yeux desquelles je les avais fait sortir.	But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.	But I wrought for my name`s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.
15	Dans le désert, je levai ma main vers eux, pour ne pas les conduire dans le pays que je leur avais destiné, pays où coulent le lait et le miel, le plus beau de tous les pays,	Et je leur levai aussi ma main dans le désert, que je ne les amènerais pas dans le pays que je leur avais donné, pays ruisselant de lait et de miel, qui est un ornement entre tous les pays;	Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;	Moreover also I sware unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;
16	et cela parce qu'ils rejetèrent mes ordonnances et ne suivirent point mes lois, et parce qu'ils profanèrent mes sabbats, car leur coeur ne s'éloigna pas de leurs idoles.	parce qu'ils avaient rejeté mes ordonnances, et qu'ils n'avaient pas marché dans mes statuts, et qu'ils avaient profané mes sabbats; car leur coeur marchait après leurs idoles.	Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.	because they rejected mine ordinances, and walked not in my statutes, and profaned my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.
17	Mais j'eus pour eux un regard de pitié et je ne les détruisis pas, je ne les exterminai pas dans le désert.	Mais mon oeil eut compassion d'eux pour ne pas les détruire, et je ne les consumai pas entièrement dans le désert.	Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness. 18	Je dis à leurs fils dans le désert : Ne suivez pas les préceptes de vos pères, n'observez pas leurs coutumes, et ne vous souillez pas par leurs idoles !	Et je dis à leurs fils dans le désert: Ne marchez pas dans les statuts de vos pères, et ne gardez point leurs ordonnances, et ne vous rendez pas impurs par leurs idoles.	But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:	And I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their ordinances, nor defile yourselves with their idols.
19	Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu. Suivez mes préceptes, observez mes ordonnances, et mettez-les en pratique.	Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu; marchez dans mes statuts, et gardez mes ordonnances et pratiquez-les;	I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;	I am Jehovah your God: walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them;
20	Sanctifiez mes sabbats, et qu'ils soient entre moi et vous un signe auquel on connaisse que je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu.	et sanctifiez mes sabbats, et qu'ils soient un signe entre moi et vous, afin que vous connaissiez que je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu.	And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.	and hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am Jehovah your God.
21	Et les fils se révoltèrent contre moi. Ils ne suivirent point mes préceptes, ils n'observèrent point et n'exécutèrent point mes ordonnances, que l'homme doit mettre en pratique, afin de vivre par elles, et ils profanèrent mes sabbats. J'eus la pensée de répandre sur eux ma fureur, d'épuiser contre eux ma colère dans le désert.	Et les fils se rebellèrent contre moi; ils ne marchèrent pas dans mes statuts et ne gardèrent pas mes ordonnances pour les pratiquer, - par lesquels, s'il les pratique, une homme vivra; ils profanèrent mes sabbats; et je dis que je verserais sur eux ma fureur, pour consommer ma colère contre eux dans le désert.	Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.	But the children rebelled against me; they walked not in my statutes, neither kept mine ordinances to do them, which if a man do, he shall live in them; they profaned my sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
22	Néanmoins j'ai retiré ma main, et j'ai agi par égard pour mon nom, afin qu'il ne fût pas profané aux yeux des nations en présence desquelles je les avais fait sortir d'Égypte.	Mais je retirerai ma main; et j'ai agi à cause de mon nom, afin de ne pas le profaner aux yeux des nations sous les yeux desquelles je les avais fait sortir.	Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.	Nevertheless I withdrew my hand, and wrought for my name`s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them forth.
23	Dans le désert, je levai encore ma main vers eux, pour les disperser parmi les nations et les répandre en divers pays,	Je leur levai aussi ma main dans le désert, que je les disperserais parmi les nations et que je les disséminerais dans les pays,	I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;	Moreover I sware unto them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations, and disperse them through the countries;
24	parce qu'ils ne mirent pas en pratique mes ordonnances, parce qu'ils rejetèrent mes préceptes, profanèrent mes sabbats, et tournèrent leurs yeux vers les idoles de leurs pères.	parce qu'ils ne pratiquaient pas mes ordonnances, et qu'ils rejetaient mes statuts et profanaient mes sabbats, et que leurs yeux étaient après les idoles de leurs pères.	Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.	because they had not executed mine ordinances, but had rejected my statutes, and had profaned my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers` idols.
25	Je leur donnai aussi des préceptes qui n'étaient pas bons, et des ordonnances par lesquelles ils ne pouvaient vivre.	Et moi aussi, je leur donnai des statuts qui n'étaient pas bons et des ordonnances par lesquelles ils ne pouvaient vivre;	Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;	Moreover also I gave them statutes that were not good, and ordinances wherein they should not live;
26	Je les souillai par leurs offrandes, quand ils faisaient passer par le feu tous leurs premiers-nés ; je voulus ainsi les punir, et leur faire connaître que je suis l'Éternel.	et je les rendis impurs dans leurs dons, en ce qu'ils consacraient tout ce qui ouvrait la matrice, afin que je les misse en désolation, pour qu'ils connussent que je suis l'Éternel.	And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.	and I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through [the fire] all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am Jehovah.
27	C'est pourquoi parle à la maison d'Israël, fils de l'homme, et dis-leur : Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Vos pères m'ont encore outragé, en se montrant infidèles à mon égard.	C'est pourquoi, fils d'homme, parle à la maison d'Israël, et dis-leur: Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Encore en ceci vos pères m'ont outragé, en étant infidèles envers moi.	Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me. 28	Je les ai conduits dans le pays que j'avais juré de leur donner, et ils ont jeté les yeux sur toute colline élevée et sur tout arbre touffu ; là ils ont fait leurs sacrifices, ils ont présenté leurs offrandes qui m'irritaient, ils ont brûlé leurs parfums d'une agréable odeur, et ils ont répandu leurs libations.	Quand je les introduisis dans le pays touchant lequel j'avais levé ma main de le leur donner, ils ont regardé toute haute colline et tout arbre touffu, et là ils ont offert leurs sacrifices, et là ils ont présenté la provocation de leur offrande, et là ils ont placé leurs parfums agréables, et là ils ont répandu leurs libations.	For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings. 29	Je leur dis : Qu'est-ce que ces hauts lieux où vous vous rendez ? Et le nom de hauts lieux leur a été donné jusqu'à ce jour.	Et je leur dis: Qu'est-ce que ce haut lieu où vous allez? et son nom a été appelé Bama, jusqu'à ce jour.	Then I said unto them, What is the high place whereunto ye go? And the name whereof is called Bamah unto this day.	Then I said unto them, What meaneth the high place whereunto ye go? So the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day.
30	C'est pourquoi dis à la maison d'Israël : Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Ne vous souillez-vous pas à la manière de vos pères, et ne vous prostituez-vous pas à leurs abominations ?	C'est pourquoi, dis à la maison d'Israël: Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Ne vous rendez-vous pas impurs dans la voie de vos pères, et ne vous prostituez-vous pas après leurs abominations?	Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?	Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Do ye pollute yourselves after the manner of your fathers? and play ye the harlot after their abominations?
31	En présentant vos offrandes, en faisant passer vos enfants par le feu, vous vous souillez encore aujourd'hui par toutes vos idoles. Et moi, je me laisserais consulter par vous, maison d'Israël ! Je suis vivant ! dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, je ne me laisserai pas consulter par vous.	Et quand vous offrez vos dons, en faisant passer vos fils par le feu, vous vous rendez impurs par toutes vos idoles jusqu'à aujourd'hui, - et moi, je serais consulté par vous, maison d'Israël? Je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, si je suis consulté par vous!	For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.	and when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, do ye pollute yourselves with all your idols unto this day? and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? 32	On ne verra pas s'accomplir ce que vous imaginez, quand vous dites : Nous voulons être comme les nations, comme les familles des autres pays, nous voulons servir le bois et la pierre.	Et ce qui monte dans votre esprit n'arrivera nullement, en ce que vous dites: Nous serons comme les nations, comme les familles des pays, en servant le bois et la pierre.	And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.	and that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, in that ye say, We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.
33	Je suis vivant ! dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, je régnerai sur vous, à main forte et à bras étendu, et en répandant ma fureur.	Je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, si je ne règne sur vous avec une main forte et un bras étendu, et avec effusion de fureur,	As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:	As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, will I be king over you:
34	Je vous ferai sortir du milieu des peuples, et je vous rassemblerai des pays où vous êtes dispersés, à main forte et à bras étendu, et en répandant ma fureur.	et si je ne vous fais sortir d'entre les peuples, et ne vous rassemble hors des pays dans lesquels vous êtes dispersés, avec une main forte et un bras étendu, et avec effusion de fureur,	And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.	and I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out;
35	Je vous amènerai dans le désert des peuples, et là je vous jugerai face à face.	et si je ne vous introduis dans le désert des peuples, et là n'entre en jugement avec vous face à face!	And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.	and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face.
36	Comme je suis entré en jugement avec vos pères dans le désert du pays d'Égypte, ainsi j'entrerai en jugement avec vous, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel. 37	Je vous ferai passer sous la verge, et je vous mettrai dans les liens de l'alliance.	et je vous ferai passer sous la verge, et vous introduirai dans le lien de l'alliance;	And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:	And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant;
38	Je séparerai de vous les rebelles et ceux qui me sont infidèles ; je les tirerai du pays où ils sont étrangers, mais ils n'iront pas au pays d'Israël. Et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel.	et je séparerai d'entre vous les rebelles et ceux qui se sont révoltés contre moi: je les ferai sortir du pays dans lequel ils séjournent, mais ils n'entreront point dans la terre d'Israël; et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel. 39	Et vous, maison d'Israël, ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Allez chacun servir vos idoles ! Mais après cela, vous m'écouterez, et vous ne profanerez plus mon saint nom par vos offrandes et par vos idoles.
