| 9 | Dis : Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : Prospérera-t-elle ? N'arrachera-t-on pas ses racines et n'abattra-t-on pas son fruit pour qu'elle sèche ? Toutes les jeunes feuilles qu'elle poussait se dessécheront. Il ne faudra ni un bras puissant ni beaucoup de gens pour l'enlever de ses racines. | Say thou, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it may wither; that all its fresh springing leaves may wither? and not by a strong arm or much people can it be raised from the roots thereof. | Di' Così dice il Signore l'Eterno. Potrà prosperare? L'aquila non sradicherà forse le sue radici e non taglierà via i suoi frutti per lasciare che si secchi? Così tutte le foglie che ha messo si seccheranno. Non ci vorrà tanta forza né molta gente per svellerla dalle radici. |
| 10 | Et voici qu'elle est plantée; mais prospérera-t-elle ? Dès que le vent d'Orient l'aura touchée, ne séchera-t-elle pas ? Dans le parterre où elle a poussé, elle séchera." | Yea, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the beds where it grew. | Ecco, essa è piantata. Potrà prosperare? Non si seccherà forse completamente, quando il vento dell'est la toccherà? Seccherà nel solco dov'era cresciuta!. |

| 12 | "Dis donc à la maison rebelle : Ne savez-vous pas ce que cela signifie ? Dis : Voici que le roi de Babylone est allé à Jérusalem, qu'il a pris son roi et ses chefs et les a fait venir auprès de lui à Babylone. | Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and brought them to him to Babylon: | Di' dunque a questa casa ribelle: Non capite cosa significano queste cose? Di' loro: Ecco, il re di Babilonia è venuto a Gerusalemme, ne ha preso il re e i capi e li ha condotti con sé a Babilonia. |

| 14 | pour que le royaume fût dans pouvoir observant son alliance pour subsister. | that the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand. | perché il regno fosse abbassato e non si innalzasse ma, osservando il suo patto, potesse essere stabile. |
| 15 | Mais il s'est révolté contre lui, envoyant ses messagers en Egypte pour qu'on lui donnât des chevaux et beaucoup d'hommes. Réussira-t-il ? Echappera-t-il, celui qui fait de telles choses ? Il a rompu l'alliance, et il échapperait! | But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? shall he break the covenant, and yet escape? | Ma questi si è ribellato contro di lui mandando i suoi ambasciatori in Egitto, perché gli dessero cavalli e tanta gente. Potrà prosperare, potrà scampare chi ha fatto tali cose? Può rompere il patto e ciò nonostante scampare? |
| 16 | Je suis vivant, --oracle du Seigneur Yahweh : C'est dans la ville du roi qui l'a fait régner, dont il a méprisé le serment et dont il a rompu l'alliance, c'est chez lui, dans Babylone, qu'il mourra. | As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely in the place where the king dwelleth that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake, even with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die. | Com'è vero che io vivo, dice il Signore, l'Eterno, egli morirà nel luogo dove dimora il re che lo ha fatto re e di cui ha disprezzato il giuramento e rotto il patto, vicino a lui, in mezzo a Babilonia. |
| 17 | Et le pharaon n'agira pas pour lui, dans la guerre, avec une grande armée et un peuple nombreux, quand un élèvera des terrasses et qu'on construira des murs pour faire périr beaucoup d'hommes! | Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company help him in the war, when they cast up mounds and build forts, to cut off many persons. | Faraone non gli presterà aiuto col suo potente esercito e con tanta gente in guerra, quando eleveranno terrapieni e costruiranno torri per sterminare molte vite umane. |
| 18 | Il a méprisé le serment en rompant l'alliance, et voilà qu'il avait donné sa main! Il a fait tout cela, il n'échappera pas. | For he hath despised the oath by breaking the covenant; and behold, he had given his hand, and yet hath done all these things; he shall not escape. | Egli ha disprezzato il giuramento infrangendo il patto; eppure ecco, dopo aver dato la mano, ha fatto tutte queste cose. Egli non scamperà. |
| 19 | C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : Je suis vivant : c'est mon serment qu'il a méprisé, et mon alliance qu'il a rompue; je ferai retomber cela sur sa tête. | Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, I will even bring it upon his own head. | Perciò così dice il Signore, l'Eterno: Com'è vero che io vivo, il mio giuramento che ha disprezzato e il mio patto che ha infranto li farò ricadere sul suo capo. |
| 20 | J'étendrai sur lui mon rets, et il sera pris dans mon filet; je le ferai venir à Babylone, et là je le mettrai en cause pour sa perfidie qu'il a montrée envers toi. | And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will enter into judgment with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me. | Stenderò su di lui la mia rete e sarà preso nel mio laccio. Lo condurrò a Babilonia e là eseguirò il giudizio su di lui per il tradimento commesso contro di me. |
| 21 | Tous ses fuyards de toutes ses troupes tomberont par l'épée, et ceux qui resteront seront dispersés à tout vent; et vous saurez que moi, Yahweh, j'ai parlé. | And all his fugitives in all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward every wind: and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, have spoken it. | Tutti i fuggiaschi con le sue schiere cadranno di spada, mentre i superstiti saranno dispersi a tutti i venti. Così riconoscerete che io, l'Eterno, ho parlato. |
| 22 | Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh : Je prendrai, moi, un rameau de la cime du cèdre élevé et je le placerai; de l'extrémité de ses branches je couperai un tendre rameau, et je le planterai sur une montagne haute et élevée. | Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also take of the lofty top of the cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and I will plant it upon a high and lofty mountain: | Così dice il Signore, l'Eterno: Io prenderò un ramoscello dalla punta del cedro più alto e lo pianterò; dalla cima dei suoi giovani rami staccherò un tenero ramoscello e lo pianterò sopra un monte alto ed elevato. |
| 23 | Je le planterai sur la haute Montagne d'Israël; il poussera des branches et portera du fruit, et il deviendra un cèdre majestueux; tout passereau, tout oiseau habitera sous lui; ils habiteront à l'ombre de ses rameaux. | in the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it; and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all birds of every wing; in the shade of the branches thereof shall they dwell. | Lo pianterò sull'alto monte d'Israele; metterà rami, porterà frutto e diventerà un cedro magnifico. Sotto di lui dimoreranno uccelli di ogni specie; essi dimoreranno all'ombra dei suoi rami, |
| 24 | Et tous les arbres des champs sauront que moi, Yahweh, j'ai abaissé l'arbre qui était élevé, et élevé l'arbre qui était abaissé, que j'ai fait sécher l'arbre vert et fait verdir l'arbre sec. Moi, Yahweh, j'ai parlé et j'agirai." | And all the trees of the field shall know that I, Jehovah, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish; I, Jehovah, have spoken and have done it. | Così tutti gli alberi della campagna sapranno che io, l'Eterno, ho abbassato l'albero alto e innalzato l'albero basso, ho fatto seccare l'albero verde e fatto germogliare l'albero secco. Io, l'Eterno, ho parlato e lo farò. |
