| 4 | And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments. | En entendant ces dures paroles, le peuple prit le deuil, et personne ne mit ses ornements. | Quando il popolo udì queste funeste parole, fece cordoglio, e nessuno si mise i propri ornamenti. |
| 5 | For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee. | Alors Yahweh dit à Moïse : "Dis aux enfants d'Israël : Vous êtes un peuple au cou raide; si je montais un seul instant au milieu de toi, je t'anéantirais. | 7 | And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. | 9 | And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses. | Dès que Moïse était entré dans la tente, la colonne de nuée descendait et se tenait à l'entrée de la tente, et Yahweh parlait avec Moïse. | Come Mosè entrava nella tenda, la colonna di nuvola scendeva e si fermava all'ingresso della tenda, e l'Eterno parlava con Mosè. |

| 11 | And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. | Et Yahweh parlait à Moïse face à face, comme un homme parle à son ami. Moïse retournait ensuite au camp; mais son serviteur Josué, fils de Nun, jeune homme, ne s'éloignait pas du milieu de la tente. | Così l'Eterno parlava con Mosè faccia a faccia, come un uomo parla col proprio amico; poi Mosè tornava all'accampamento. Ma Giosuè, figlio di Nun, suo giovane ministro, non si allontanava dalla tenda. |
| 12 | And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. | Moïse dit à Yahweh : "Vous me dites : Fais monter ce peuple; et vous ne me faites pas connaître celui que vous enverrez avec moi. Cependant vous avez dit : Je te connais par ton nom, et tu as trouvé grâce à mes yeux. | Poi Mosè disse all'Eterno: Vedi, tu mi dici: "Fa' salire questo popolo". Ma tu non mi hai fatto sapere chi manderai con me. Eppure hai detto: "Io ti conosco personalmente e hai pure trovato grazia ai miei occhi". |
| 13 | Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. | Et maintenant, si j'ai bien trouvé grâce à vos yeux, faîtes moi donc connaître vos voies, et que je vous connaisse, afin que je trouve grâce à vos yeux. | 14 | And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. | Yahweh répondit : "Ma face ira avec toi, et je te donnerai un repos." | L'Eterno rispose: La mia presenza andrà con te, e ti darò riposo. |
| 15 | And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. | Moïse dit : "Si votre face ne vient pas, ne nous faîtes pas partir d'ici. | Mosè allora gli disse: Se la tua presenza non viene con me, non farci partire di qui. |
| 16 | For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth. | A quoi connaîtra-t-on que j'ai trouvé grâce à vos yeux, moi et votre peuple, sinon à ce que vous marcherez avec nous ? C'est ce qui nous distinguera, moi et votre peuple, de tous les peuples qui sont sur la face de la terre." | Come si potrà ora conoscere che io e il tuo popolo abbiamo trovato grazia ai tuoi occhi Non è forse perché tu vieni con noi? Così noi saremo distinti, io e il tuo popolo, da tutti i popoli che sono sulla faccia della terra. |
| 17 | And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. | Yahweh dit à Moïse : "Je ferai encore ce que tu demandes, car tu as trouvé grâce à mes yeux et je te connais par ton nom." | L'Eterno disse a Mosè: Farò anche questa a che hai chiesto, poiché tu hai trovato grazia ai miei occhi e ti conosco personalmente. |
| 18 | And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. | Moïse dit : "Faites-moi voir votre gloire." | Allora Mosè disse: Deh, fammi vedere la tua gloria!. |
| 19 | And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. | Yahweh répondit : "Je ferai passer devant toi toute ma bonté, et je prononcerai devant toi le nom de Yahweh : car je fais grâce à qui je fais grâce, et miséricorde à qui je fais miséricorde." | L'Eterno gli rispose: Io farò passare davanti a te tutta la mia bontà e proclamerò il nome dell'Eterno davanti a te. Farò grazia a chi farò grazia e avrò pietà di chi avrò pietà. |
| 20 | And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. | Yahweh dit : "Tu ne pourras voir ma face, car l'homme ne peut me voir et vivre." | Disse ancora: Tu non puoi vedere la mia faccia, perché nessun uomo mi può vedere e vivere. |
| 21 | And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: | Yahweh dit : "Voici une place prés de moi; tu te tiendras sur le rocher. | Quindi l'Eterno disse: Ecco un luogo vicino a me; tu starai sulla roccia; |
| 22 | And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: | Quand ma gloire passera, je te mettrai dans le creux du rocher, et je te couvrirai de ma main jusqu'à ce que j'aie passé. | e mentre passerà la mia gloria, io ti metterò in una fenditura della roccia e ti coprirò con la mia mano, finché io sia passato; |
