| 1 | And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, | L'Eternel parla aussi à Moïse, en disant: |
| 2 | See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: | Regarde, j'ai appelé par son nom Betsaléel, fils d'Uri, fils de Hur, de la Tribu de Juda. |
| 3 | And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, | Et je l'ai rempli de l'Esprit de Dieu, en sagesse, en intelligence, en science, et en toute sorte d'ouvrages, |
| 4 | To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, | Afin d'inventer des dessins pour travailler en or, en argent, et en airain; |
| 5 | And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship. | Dans la sculpture des pierres précieuses; pour les mettre en oeuvre, et dans la menuiserie, pour travailler en toute sorte d'ouvrages. |
| 6 | And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee; | Et voici, je lui ai donné pour compagnon Aholiab fils d'Ahisamac, de la Tribu de Dan; et j'ai mis de la science au coeur de tout homme d'esprit, afin qu'ils fassent toutes les choses que je t'ai commandées. |
| 7 | The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle, | Savoir le Tabernacle d'assignation, l'Arche du Témoignage, et le Propitiatoire qui doit être au-dessus, et tous les ustensiles du Tabernacle; |
| 8 | And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense, | Et la table avec tous ses ustensiles; et le chandelier pur avec tous ses ustensiles; et l'autel du parfum; |
| 9 | And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot, | Et l'autel de l'holocauste avec tous ses ustensiles, la cuve et son soubassement; |
| 10 | And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office, | Et les vêtements du service; les saints vêtements d'Aaron Sacrificateur, et les vêtements de ses fils pour exercer la sacrificature; |
| 11 | And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do. | Et l'huile de l'onction, et le parfum des choses aromatiques pour le Sanctuaire, et ils feront toutes les choses que je t'ai commandées. |
| 12 | And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, | L'Eternel parla encore à Moïse, en disant: |
| 13 | Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. | Toi aussi parle aux enfants d'Israël, en disant: certes, vous garderez mes Sabbats; car c'est un signe entre moi et vous en vos âges, afin que vous sachiez que je suis l'Eternel, qui vous sanctifie. |
| 14 | Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. | Gardez donc le Sabbat, car il vous doit être saint; quiconque le violera, sera puni de mort; quiconque, dis-je, fera aucune oeuvre en ce-jour-là, sera retranché du milieu de ses peuples. |
| 15 | Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. | On travaillera six jours; mais le septième jour est le Sabbat du repos, une sainteté à l'Eternel; quiconque fera aucune oeuvre au jour du repos sera puni de mort. |
| 16 | Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. | Ainsi les enfants d'Israël garderont le Sabbat, pour célébrer le jour du repos en leurs âges, par une alliance perpétuelle. |
| 17 | It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. | C'est un signe entre moi et les enfants d'Israël à perpétuité; car l'Eternel a fait en six jours les cieux et la terre, et il a cessé au septième, et s'est reposé. |
| 18 | And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God. | Et Dieu donna à Moïse, après qu'il eut achevé de parler avec lui sur la montagne de Sinaï, les deux Tables du Témoignage; Tables de pierre, écrites du doigt de Dieu. |
