| 1 | And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of shittim wood shalt thou make it. | Farai pure un altare per bruciarvi l'incenso; e lo farai di legno di acacia. |
| 2 | A cubit shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof; foursquare shall it be: and two cubits shall be the height thereof: the horns thereof shall be of the same. | Sarà di un cubito di lunghezza e di un cubito di larghezza; sarà quadrato e avrà un'altezza di due cubiti; i suoi corni formeranno un sol pezzo con esso. |
| 3 | And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about. | Lo rivestirai d'oro puro: la sua parte superiore, i suoi lati tutt'intorno e i suoi corni; e gli farai una ghirlanda d'oro. |
| 4 | And two golden rings shalt thou make to it under the crown of it, by the two corners thereof, upon the two sides of it shalt thou make it; and they shall be for places for the staves to bear it withal. | Gli farai anche due anelli d'oro sotto la ghirlanda, ai suoi due lati; li metterai ai suoi due lati per passarvi le stanghe, con le quali portarlo. |
| 5 | And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold. | Farai le stanghe di legno di acacia e le rivestirai d'oro. |
| 6 | And thou shalt put it before the vail that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee. | Collocherai l'altare davanti al velo che è davanti all'arca della testimonianza, di fronte al propiziatorio che sta sopra la testimonianza, dove io ti incontrerò. |
| 7 | And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it. | Su di esso Aaronne brucerà dell'incenso profumato; lo brucerà ogni mattina, quando mette in ordine le lampade. |
| 8 | And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations. | Quando Aaronne accende le lampade sull'imbrunire, vi brucerà incenso: un incenso perpetuo davanti all'Eterno, per le future generazioni. |
| 9 | Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon. | Non offrirete su di esso né incenso estraneo, né olocausto, né oblazione; e su di esso non verserete libazioni. |
| 10 | And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the LORD. | E Aaronne farà una volta all'anno l'espiazione sui suoi corni; col sangue del sacrificio di espiazione per il peccato farà su di esso l'espiazione una volta l'anno, di generazione in generazione. Sarà cosa santissima, sacra all'Eterno. |
| 11 | And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, | L'Eterno parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo: |
| 12 | When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the LORD, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them. | Quando farai il conto dei figli d'Israele, per il loro censimento, ognuno di essi darà all'Eterno il riscatto della propria vita, quando saranno contati, perché non siano colpiti da qualche piaga, quando farai il loro censimento. |
| 13 | This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half shekel shall be the offering of the LORD. | Questo è ciò che darà ognuno di quelli censiti: mezzo siclo, secondo il siclo del santuario, (il siclo equivale a venti ghere), un mezzo siclo sarà l'offerta da fare all'Eterno. |
| 14 | Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD. | Ognuno che sarà compreso nel censimento, dai venti anni in su, darà questa offerta all'Eterno. |
| 15 | The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls. | Il ricco non darà di più, né il povero darà meno di mezzo siclo, quando si farà quest'offerta all'Eterno per fare l'espiazione per le vostre vite. |
| 16 | And thou shalt take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a memorial unto the children of Israel before the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls. | Prenderai dunque dai figli d'Israele questo denaro del riscatto e lo adopererai per il servizio della tenda di convegno: sarà per i figli d'Israele un ricordo davanti all'Eterno per fare l'espiazione per le vostre vite. |
| 17 | And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, | L'Eterno parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo: |
| 18 | Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein. | Farai pure una conca di bronzo, con la sua base di bronzo, per lavarsi; la collocherai fra la tenda di convegno e l'altare e ci metterai dell'acqua. |
| 19 | For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat: | E Aaronne e i suoi figli vi si laveranno le mani e i piedi. |
| 20 | When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD: | Quando entreranno nella tenda di convegno, si laveranno con acqua, perché non abbiano a morire; così pure quando si avvicineranno all'altare per servire, per far fumare un'offerta fatta all'Eterno mediante il fuoco. |
| 21 | So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations. | Si laveranno le loro mani e i loro piedi, perché non abbiano a morire. Questo sarà per loro uno statuto perenne, per lui e per i suoi discendenti, di generazione in generazione. |
| 22 | Moreover the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, | L'Eterno parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo: |
| 23 | Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels, | Procurati anche i migliori aromi: cinquecento sicli di mirra liquida, duecentocinquanta, cioè la metà, di cinnamomo aromatico e duecentocinquanta di cannella aromatica, |
| 24 | And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin: | cinquecento sicli, in base al siclo del santuario, di cassia e un hin di olio d'oliva. |
| 25 | And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil. | E ne farai un olio per l'unzione sacra, un profumo composto con arte di profumiere: sarà l'olio per l'unzione sacra. |
| 26 | And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony, | Con esso ungerai la tenda di convegno e l'arca della testimonianza, |
| 27 | And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense, | la tavola e tutti i suoi utensili, il candelabro e i suoi utensili, l'altare dell'incenso, |
| 28 | And the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot. | l'altare degli olocausti e tutti i suoi utensili, la conca e la sua base. |
| 29 | And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy. | Consacrerai così queste cose e saranno santissime; tutto quello che le toccherà, sarà santo. |
| 30 | And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office. | Ungerai anche Aaronne e i suoi figli e li consacrerai, perché mi servano come sacerdoti. |
| 31 | And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations. | parlerai quindi ai figli d'Israele, dicendo: "Questo sarà per me un olio di sacra unzione, di generazione in generazione. |
| 32 | Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you. | Non lo si spanderà su carne d'uomo e non ne farete altro di simile, della stessa composizione; esso è santo, e sarà santo per voi. |
| 33 | Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people. | Chiunque ne comporrà di simile, o chiunque ne metterà sopra un estraneo, sarà sterminato dal suo popolo". |
| 34 | And the LORD said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight: | L'Eterno disse ancora a Mosè: Procurati degli aromi, dello storace, della conchiglia odorosa, del galbano, degli aromi con incenso puro, in dosi uguali; |
| 35 | And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy: | ne farai un profumo composto secondo l'arte del profumiere, salato, puro e santo; |
| 36 | And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy. | ne ridurrai una parte in minutissima polvere e ne porrai un po' davanti alla testimonianza nella tenda di convegno, dove io ti incontrerò: esso sarà per voi cosa santissima. |
| 37 | And as for the perfume which thou shalt make, ye shall not make to yourselves according to the composition thereof: it shall be unto thee holy for the LORD. | Ma dell'incenso che farai, non ne farete per voi della stessa composizione; sarà per te una cosa sacra all'Eterno. |
| 38 | Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereto, shall even be cut off from his people. | Chiunque ne farà di simile per odorarlo, sarà sterminato dal suo popolo. |
