| 2 | And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: | Et toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël murmura dans ce désert contre Moïse et Aaron. | E tutta l'assemblea dei figli d'Israele mormorò contro Mosè e contro Aaronne nel deserto. |
| 3 | And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger. | Et les enfants d'Israël leur dirent: ha! que ne sommes-nous morts par la main de l'Eternel au pays d'Egypte, quand nous étions assis près des potées de chair, et que nous mangions notre soûl de pain; car vous nous avez amenés dans ce désert, pour faire mourir de faim toute cette assemblée. | I figli d'Israele dissero loro: Oh, fossimo pur morti per mano dell'Eterno nel paese d'Egitto, quando sedevamo presso le pentole di carne e mangiavamo pane a sazietà! Poiché voi ci avete condotti in questo deserto per far morire di fame tutta questa assemblea. |
| 4 | Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no. | Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse: voici, je vais vous faire pleuvoir des cieux du pain, et le peuple sortira, et en recueillera chaque jour la provision d'un jour, afin que je l'éprouve, pour voir s'il observera ma Loi, ou non. | L'Eterno disse a Mosè: Ecco, io farò piovere per voi del pane dal cielo; e il popolo uscirà e raccoglierà ogni giorno la provvista del giorno, perché io lo voglio mettere alla prova per vedere se camminerà o no secondo la mia legge. |
| 5 | And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily. | Mais qu'ils apprêtent au sixième jour ce qu'ils auront apporté, et qu'il y ait le double de ce qu'ils recueilleront chaque jour. | Ma il sesto giorno, quando prepareranno la provvista che devono portare a casa, essa sarà il doppio di quella che raccolgono giornalmente. |
| 6 | And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt: | Moïse donc et Aaron dirent à tous les enfants d'Israël: ce soir vous saurez que l'Eternel vous a tirés du pays d'Egypte. | Allora Mosè ed Aaronne dissero a tutti i figli d'Israele: Alla sera voi conoscerete che l'Eterno è colui che vi ha fatto uscire dal paese d'Egitto; |
| 7 | And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur against us? | Et au matin vous verrez la gloire de l'Eternel; parce qu'il a ouï vos murmures, qui sont contre l'Eternel; car que sommes-nous, que vous murmuriez contre nous? | e al mattino vedrete la gloria dell'Eterno, poiché egli ha udito le vostre mormorazioni contro l'Eterno; ma noi che cosa siamo perché mormoriate contro di noi?. |
| 8 | And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD. | Moïse dit donc: ce sera quand l'Eternel vous aura donné ce soir de la chair à manger, et qu'au matin il vous aura rassasiés de pain, parce qu'il a ouï vos murmures, par lesquels vous avez murmuré contre lui; car que sommes-nous? Vos murmures ne sont pas contre nous, mais contre l'Eternel. | Mosè disse ancora: Questo avverrà quando l'Eterno vi darà carne da mangiare alla sera e pane a sazietà al mattino, poiché l'Eterno ha udito le vostre mormorazioni che avete fatto contro di lui. Ma noi che cosa siamo? Le vostre mormorazioni non sono contro di noi, ma contro l'Eterno. |
| 9 | And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the LORD: for he hath heard your murmurings. | Et Moïse dit à Aaron: dis à toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël: approchez-vous de la présence de l'Eternel; car il a ouï vos murmures. | Poi Mosè disse ad Aaronne: Di' a tutta l'assemblea dei figli d'Israele: "Avvicinatevi davanti all'Eterno, perché egli ha udito le vostre mormorazioni". |
| 10 | And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud. | Or il arriva qu'aussitôt qu'Aaron eut parlé à toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël, ils regardèrent vers le désert, et voici, la gloire de l'Eternel se montra dans la nuée. | Come Aaronne parlava a tutta l'assemblea dei figli d'Israele, essi si voltarono verso il deserto; ed ecco che la gloria dell'Eterno apparve nella nuvola. |
| 11 | And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, | Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse, en disant: | E l'Eterno parlò a Mosè, dicendo: |
| 12 | I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God. | J'ai ouï les murmures des enfants d'Israël. Parle-leur et leur dis: entre les deux vêpres vous mangerez de la chair, et au matin vous serez rassasiés de pain; et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel votre Dieu. | Io ho udito le mormorazioni dei figli d'Israele; parla loro, dicendo: "Sull'imbrunire mangerete della carne e al mattino sarete saziati di pane; e conoscerete che io sono l'Eterno, il vostro DIO". |
| 13 | And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. | Sur le soir donc il monta des cailles, qui couvrirent le camp, et au matin il y eut une couche de rosée à l'entour du camp. | Così, verso sera avvenne che salirono delle quaglie e ricopersero il campo; e al mattino c'era uno strato di rugiada intorno al campo. |
| 14 | And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. | Et cette couche de rosée étant évanouie, voici sur la superficie du désert quelque chose de menu et de rond, comme du grésil sur la terre. | Poi lo strato di rugiada scomparve, ed ecco sulla superficie del deserto una cosa fine e tonda, minuta come la brina sulla terra. |
| 15 | And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. | Ce que les enfants d'Israël ayant vu, ils se dirent l'un à l'autre: qu'est- ce? car ils ne savaient ce que c'était. Et Moïse leur dit: c'est le pain que l'Eternel vous a donné à manger. | Quando i figli d'Israele la videro, si dissero l'un l'altro: Che cos'è?, perché non sapevano che cosa fosse. E Mosè disse loro: Questo è il pane che l'Eterno vi ha dato da mangiare. |
| 16 | This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents. | Or ce que l'Eternel a commandé, c'est que chacun en recueille autant qu'il lui en faut pour sa nourriture, un Homer par tête, selon le nombre de vos personnes; chacun en prendra pour ceux qui sont dans sa tente. | Ecco quel che l'Eterno ha comandato: Ne raccolga ognuno quanto gli basta per il suo nutrimento, un omer a testa, secondo il numero delle persone che siete; ognuno ne pigli per quelli che sono nella sua tenda. |
| 17 | And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less. | Les enfants d'Israël firent donc ainsi; et les uns en recueillirent plus, les autres moins. | I figli d'Israele fecero così; gli uni ne raccolsero di più e gli altri di meno. |
| 18 | And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. | Et ils le mesuraient par Homers; et celui qui en avait recueilli beaucoup n'en avait pas plus qu'il ne lui en fallait; ni celui qui en avait recueilli peu, n'en avait pas moins; mais chacun en recueillait selon ce qu'il en pouvait manger. | Lo misurarono con l'omer; or chi ne aveva raccolto molto non n'ebbe troppo; e chi ne aveva raccolto poco non ne mancò. Ognuno ne raccolse in base al suo bisogno di cibo. |
| 19 | And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning. | Et Moïse leur avait dit: que personne n'en laisse rien de reste jusqu'au matin. | Poi Mosè disse loro: Nessuno ne avanzi fino al mattino. |
| 20 | Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them. | Mais il y en eut qui n'obéirent point à Moïse; car quelques-uns en réservèrent jusqu'au matin; et il s'y engendra des vers, et elle puait; et Moïse se mit en grande colère contr’eux. | Ma essi non ubbidirono a Mosè e alcuni ne avanzarono fino all'indomani; e questo imputridì producendo vermi e mandò fetore; e Mosè si adirò contro costoro. |
| 21 | And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted. | Ainsi chacun en recueillait tous les matins autant qu'il lui en fallait pour se nourrir, et lorsque la chaleur du soleil était venue, elle se fondait. | Così lo raccoglievano tutte le mattine: ciascuno in base al suo bisogno di cibo; ma quando il sole si faceva caldo, quello si scioglieva. |
| 22 | And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. | Mais le sixième jour ils recueillirent du pain au double, deux Homers pour chacun; et les principaux de l'assemblée vinrent pour le rapporter à Moïse. | Così il sesto giorno raccolsero una doppia porzione di pane, due omer per ciascuno. E tutti i capi dell'assemblea vennero a riferirlo a Mosè. |
| 23 | And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. | Et il leur dit: c'est ce que l'Eternel a dit: Demain est le Repos, le Sabbat sanctifié à l'Eternel; faites cuire ce que vous avez à cuire, et faites bouillir ce que vous avez à bouillir, et serrez tout ce qui sera de surplus, pour le garder jusqu'au matin. | Egli allora disse loro: Questo è ciò che l'Eterno ha detto: Domani è un giorno solenne di riposo, un sabato sacro all'Eterno; fate cuocere oggi quel che dovete cuocere e fate bollire quel che dovete bollire; e tutto quel che vi avanza, riponetelo e conservatelo fino a domani. |
| 24 | And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. | Ils le serrèrent donc jusques au matin, comme Moïse l'avait commandé, et il ne pua point, ni il n'y eut point de vers dedans. | Essi dunque lo riposero fino all'indomani, come Mosè aveva ordinato; e quello non mandò fetore e non produsse vermi. |
| 25 | And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field. | Alors Moïse dit: mangez-le aujourd'hui; car c'est aujourd'hui le Repos de l'Eternel; aujourd'hui vous n'en trouverez point aux champs. | Mosè disse: Mangiatelo oggi, perché oggi è il sabato sacro all'Eterno; oggi non ne troverete per i campi. |
| 26 | Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none. | Durant six jours vous le recueillerez; mais le septième est le Sabbat; il n'y en aura point en ce jour-là. | Raccoglietene durante sei giorni; ma nel settimo giorno, il sabato, non ve ne sarà. |
| 27 | And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none. | Et au septième jour quelques-uns du peuple sortirent pour en recueillir; mais ils n'en trouvèrent point. | Or nel settimo giorno avvenne che alcuni del popolo uscirono per raccoglierne, ma non ne trovarono. |
| 28 | And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? | Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse: jusques à quand refuserez-vous de garder mes commandements et mes lois? | Allora l'Eterno disse a Mosè: Fino a quando rifiuterete di osservare i miei comandamenti e le mie leggi? |
| 29 | See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. | Considérez que l'Eternel vous a ordonné le Sabbat, c'est pourquoi il vous donne au sixième jour du pain pour deux jours; que chacun demeure au lieu où il sera, et qu'aucun ne sorte du lieu où il sera le septième jour. | Ricordate che l'Eterno vi ha dato il sabato; per questo nel sesto giorno egli vi dà del pane per due giorni. Rimanga ognuno al suo posto; nessuno esca dalla sua tenda il settimo giorno. |
| 30 | So the people rested on the seventh day. | Le peuple donc se reposa le septième jour. | Così il popolo si riposò il settimo giorno. |
| 31 | And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. | Et la maison d'Israël nomma ce pain Manne; et elle était comme de la semence de coriandre, blanche, et ayant le goût des beignets au miel. | E la casa d'Israele lo chiamò Manna; essa era simile al seme di coriandolo, bianca e con il gusto di schiacciate fatte col miele. |
| 32 | And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt. | Et Moïse dit: voici ce que l'Eternel a commandé: qu'on en remplisse un Homer, pour le garder dans vos âges, afin qu'on voie le pain que je vous ai fait manger au désert, après vous avoir retirés du pays d'Egypte. | Poi Mosè disse: Questo è ciò che l'Eterno ha ordinato: "Riempi con essa un omer, perché sia conservata per i vostri discendenti, affinché essi vedano il pane che vi ho fatto mangiare nel deserto, quando vi ho fatto uscire dal paese d'Egitto". |
| 33 | And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations. | Moïse donc dit à Aaron: prends une cruche, et mets-y un plein Homer de Manne, et le pose devant l'Eternel, pour être gardé dans vos âges. | Mosè disse quindi ad Aaronne: Prendi un vaso, mettici dentro un intero omer di manna e deponilo davanti all'Eterno perché sia conservato per i vostri discendenti. |
| 34 | As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept. | Et Aaron le posa devant le Témoignage pour y être gardé, selon que le Seigneur l'avait commandé à Moïse. | Come l'Eterno aveva ordinato a Mosè, Aaronne lo depose davanti alla Testimonianza, perché fosse conservato. |
| 35 | And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. | Et les enfants d'Israël mangèrent la Manne durant quarante ans, jusqu'à ce qu'ils furent parvenus en un pays habité; ils mangèrent, dis-je, la Manne, jusqu'à ce qu'ils furent parvenus aux frontières du pays de Chanaan. | E i figli d'Israele mangiarono la manna per quarant'anni, finché arrivarono in un paese abitato; mangiarono la manna finché giunsero ai confini del paese di Canaan |
