| 5 | And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field: | Qui couvriront toute la face de la terre, tellement qu'on ne pourra voir la terre: et qui brouteront le reste de ce qui est échappé, que la grêle vous a laissé; et brouteront tous les arbres qui poussent dans les champs. | Elles couvriront la face de la terre, et l'on ne pourra plus voir la terre; elles dévoreront le reste qui a échappé, ce que vous a laissé la grêle, et elles dévoreront tous les arbres qui croissent dans vos champs; | and they shall cover the face of the earth, so that one shall not be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field: |

And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh. | Et elles rempliront tes maisons, et les maisons de tous tes serviteurs; et les maisons de tous les Egyptiens; ce que tes pères n'ont point vu, ni les pères de tes pères, depuis le jour qu'ils ont été sur la terre, jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Puis ayant tourné le dos à Pharaon, il sortit d'auprès de lui. | elles rempliront tes maisons, les maisons de tous tes serviteurs et celles de tous les Egyptiens. | 7 | And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed? | Et les serviteurs de Pharaon lui dirent: jusques à quand celui-ci nous tiendra-t-il enlacés? Laisse aller ces gens, et qu'ils servent l'Eternel leur Dieu. Attendras-tu de savoir avant cela que l'Egypte est perdue? | Les serviteurs de Pharaon lui dirent : "Jusques à quand cet homme sera-t-il pour nous un piège ? Laisse aller ces gens, et qu'ils servent Yahweh leur Dieu. | 8 | And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go? | Alors on fit revenir Moïse et Aaron vers Pharaon; et il leur dit: allez, servez l'Eternel votre Dieu. Qui sont tous ceux qui iront? | On fit revenir Moïse et Aaron auprès de Pharaon, et il leur dit : "Allez, servez Yahweh, votre Dieu. Qui sont ceux qui doivent y aller ?" | And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve Jehovah your God; but who are they that shall go? |
| 9 | And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD. | Et Moïse répondit: nous irons avec nos jeunes gens et nos vieillards, avec nos fils et nos filles, avec notre menu et gros bétail; car nous avons à célébrer une fête solennelle à l'Eternel. | Moïse répondit : "Nous irons avec nos enfants et nos vieillards, avec nos fils et nos filles, avec nos brebis et nos boeufs; car c'est pour nous une fête en l'honneur de Yahweh." | And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old; with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto Jehovah. |
| 10 | And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you. | Alors il leur dit: que l'Eternel soit avec vous, comme je laisserai aller vos petits enfants; prenez garde, car le mal est devant vous. | Pharaon leur dit : "Que Yahweh soit avec vous, comme je vais vous laisser aller, vous et vos enfants! | 11 | Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence. | Il n'en sera donc pas ainsi que vous l'avez demandé, mais vous hommes, allez maintenant, et servez l'Eternel; car c'est ce que vous demandez. | 12 | And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left. | Alors l'Eternel dit à Moïse: étends ta main sur le pays d'Egypte pour faire venir les sauterelles, afin qu'elles montent sur le pays d'Egypte, et qu'elles broutent toute l'herbe de la terre, et tout ce que la grêle a laissé de reste. | Yahweh dit à Moïse : "Etends ta main sur le pays d'Egypte pour les sauterelles; qu'elles montent sur le pays d'Egypte; qu'elles dévorent toute l'herbe de la terre, tout ce que la grêle a laissé." | And Jehovah said unto Moses, Stretch out thy hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left. |
| 13 | And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts. | Moïse donc étendit sa verge sur le pays d'Egypte, et l'Eternel amena sur la terre un vent Oriental tout ce jour-là et toute la nuit; et au matin le vent Oriental eut enlevé les sauterelles. | Moïse étendit son bâton sur le pays d'Egypte, et Yahweh fit souffler sur le pays un vent d'orient tout ce jour-là et toute la nuit. | 17 | Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only. | Mais maintenant, je te prie, pardonne-moi mon péché, seulement pour cette fois; et fléchissez l'Eternel votre Dieu par prières, afin qu'il retire de moi cette mort-ci seulement. | Mais pardonne mon péché encore cette fois seulement; et priez Yahweh, votre Dieu, afin qu'il éloigne de moi au moins ce fléau mortel." | Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and entreat Jehovah your God, that he may take away from me this death only. |
| 18 | And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD. | Il sortit donc d'auprès de Pharaon, et il fléchit l'Eternel par prières. | Moïse sortit de chez Pharaon et pria Yahweh. | And he went out from Pharaoh, and entreated Jehovah. |
| 19 | And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt. | Et l'Eternel fit lever à l'opposite un vent très-fort de l'Occident, qui enleva les sauterelles, et les enfonça dans la mer rouge. Il ne resta pas une seule sauterelle dans toutes les contrées d'Egypte. | Et Yahweh fit souffler un vent d'occident très fort, qui emporta les sauterelles et les poussa dans la mer Rouge; il ne resta pas une seule sauterelle dans toute l'étendue de l'Egypte. | And Jehovah turned an exceeding strong west wind, which took up the locusts, and drove them into the Red Sea; there remained not one locust in all the border of Egypt. |
| 20 | But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go. | Mais l'Eternel endurcit le coeur de Pharaon, et il ne laissa point aller les enfants d'Israël. | --Yahweh endurcit le coeur de Pharaon, et Pharaon ne laissa point aller les enfants d'Israël. | But Jehovah hardened Pharaoh`s heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go. |
| 21 | And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. | Puis l'Eternel dit à Moïse: Etends ta main vers les cieux, et qu'il y ait sur le pays d'Egypte des ténèbres si épaisses, qu'on les puisse toucher à la main. | Yahweh dit à Moïse : "Etends ta main vers le ciel, et qu'il y ait des ténèbres sur le pays d'Egypte, qu'on palpe les ténèbres." | And Jehovah said unto Moses, Stretch out thy hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. |

| 23 | They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. | L'on ne se voyait pas l'un l'autre, et nul ne se leva du lieu où il était pendant trois jours; mais il y eut de la lumière pour les enfants d'Israël dans le lieu de leurs demeures. | Ils ne se voyaient pas les uns les autres, et nul ne se leva de la place où il était, pendant trois jours; mais tous les enfants d'Israël avaient de la lumière dans les lieux qu'ils habitaient. | they saw not one another, neither rose any one from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. |

| 25 | And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God. | Mais Moïse répondit: tu nous laisseras aussi amener les sacrifices et les holocaustes que nous ferons à l'Eternel notre Dieu. | Moïse répondit : "Tu dois mettre entre nos mains de quoi faire des sacrifices et des holocaustes à Yahweh, notre Dieu. | And Moses said, Thou must also give into our hand sacrifices and burnt-offerings, that we may sacrifice unto Jehovah our God. |
| 26 | Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither. | Et même nos troupeaux viendront avec nous, sans qu'il en demeure un ongle; car nous en prendrons pour servir à l'Eternel notre Dieu; et nous ne savons pas ce que nous offrirons à l'Eternel, jusques à ce que nous soyons parvenus en ce lieu-là. | Nos troupeaux viendront aussi avec nous; il n'en restera pas un ongle; car c'est d'eux que nous prendrons de quoi servir Yahweh, notre Dieu; et nous ne savons pas nous-mêmes, jusqu'à ce que nous soyons arrivés là, avec quoi nous devons servir Yahweh." | Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not a hoof be left behind: for thereof must we take to serve Jehovah our God; and we know not with what we must serve Jehovah, until we come thither. |
