Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. Now these are the names of the sons of Israel, who came into Egypt (every man and his household came with Jacob):Or questi sono i nomi dei figli d'Israele che vennero in Egitto con Giacobbe.
Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,Ruben, Siméon, Lévi, et Juda,Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,Ruben, Simeone, Levi e Giuda,
Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,Issachar, Zabulon, et Benjamin,Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,Issacar, Zabulon e Beniamino,
Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.Dan, et Nephtali, Gad, et Aser.Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher.Dan e Neftali, Gad e Ascer.
And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already. And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: and Joseph was in Egypt already.
And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.Or Joseph mourut, et tous ses frères, et toute cette génération-là.And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.Quindi Giuseppe morì, e così morirono tutti i suoi fratelli e tutta quella generazione.
And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.E i figli d'Israele furono fruttiferi, moltiplicarono copiosamente e divennero numerosi e si fecero straordinariamente forti; e il paese ne fu ripieno.
Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who knew not Joseph.
And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:Et il dit à son peuple: voici, le peuple des enfants d'Israël est plus grand et plus puissant que nous. And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:Egli disse al suo popolo: Ecco, il popolo dei figli d'Israele è più numeroso e più forte di noi.
Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.Agissons donc prudemment avec lui, de peur qu'il ne se multiplie, et que s'il arrivait quelque guerre il ne se joignît à nos ennemis, et ne fît la guerre contre nous, et qu'il ne s'en allât du pays.come, let us deal wisely with them, lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they also join themselves unto our enemies, and fight against us, and get them up out of the land.
Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses. Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh store-cities, Pithom and Raamses.
But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.
And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:Et les Egyptiens faisaient servir les enfants d'Israël avec rigueur:And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigor:e gli Egiziani costrinsero i figli d'Israele a servire con asprezza,
And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.Tellement qu'ils leur rendirent la vie amère par une rude servitude, en les employant à faire du mortier, des briques, et toute sorte d'ouvrage qui se fait aux champs; tout le service qu'on tirait d'eux était avec rigueur.and they made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field, all their service, wherein they made them serve with rigor.e amareggiarono la loro vita con una dura schiavitù, nei lavori d'argilla e di mattoni e in ogni sorta di lavori nei campi. Li obbligavano a fare tutti questi lavori con asprezza.
And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:Le Roi d'Egypte commanda aussi aux sages-femmes Hébreues, dont l'une avait nom Siphra, et l'autre avait nom Puha; And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:Il re d'Egitto parlò anche alle levatrici ebree, delle quali una si chiamava Scifrah e l'altra si chiamava Puah, e disse:
And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.Et leur dit: quand vous recevrez les enfants des femmes des Hébreux, et que vous les verrez sur les siéges, si c'est un fils, mettez-le à mort; mais si c'est une fille, qu'elle vive.and he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the birth-stool; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him; but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.
But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men-children alive.
And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive? And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men-children alive?
And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them. And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwife come unto them.
Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. And God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.
And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses. And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them households.Così, perché quelle levatrici temevano DIO, egli diede loro famiglie in proprio.
And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive. And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.
