| 1 | For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. | Per amore di Sion io non tacerò, e per amore di Gerusalemme, non mi darò riposo finché la sua giustizia non spunti come l'aurora e la sua salvezza come una fiaccola ardente. |

| 4 | Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. | Non sarai più chiamata "Abbandonata" né la tua terra sarà più detta "Desolazione" ma sarai chiamata "La mia delizia è in lei" e la tua terra "Maritata" perché l'Eterno trova piacere in te, e la tua terra avrà uno sposo. |
| 5 | For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. | Perciò, come un giovane sposa una vergine, i tuoi figli sposeranno te, e come lo sposo gioisce per la sposa così il tuo DIO gioirà per te. |
| 6 | I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, | Sulle tue mura, o Gerusalemme, ho posto delle sentinelle, che per tutto il giorno e tutta la notte non taceranno mai. Voi, che ricordate all'Eterno le sue promesse, non state in silenzio, |
| 7 | And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. | e non dategli riposo, finché non abbia ristabilito e reso Gerusalemme la lode di tutta la terra. |
| 8 | The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured: | L'Eterno ha giurato per la sua destra e per il suo braccio potente: Non darò più il tuo frumento in cibo ai tuoi nemici, e i figli dello straniero non berranno più il tuo mosto per il quale hai faticato. |
| 9 | But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness. | Ma quelli che avranno raccolto il frumento lo mangeranno e loderanno l'Eterno, e quelli che avranno vendemmiato berranno il mosto nei cortili del mio santuario. |
| 10 | Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. | Passate, passate per le porte! Preparate la via per il popolo! Appianate, appianate la strada, rimuovete le pietre, alzate una bandiera davanti ai popoli! |
| 11 | Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. | Ecco, l'Eterno proclama fino all'estremità della terra: Dite alla figlia di Sion: Ecco la tua salvezza, giunge; ecco, ha con sé il suo salario e la sua ricompensa lo precede. |
