| 4 | Peut-être que l'Eternel ton Dieu aura entendu les paroles de Rabsaké, lequel le Roi des Assyriens son maître a envoyé pour blasphémer le Dieu vivant, et lui faire outrage, selon les paroles que l'Eternel ton Dieu a ouïes; fais donc requête pour le reste qui se trouve encore. | It may be Jehovah thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which Jehovah thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left. | Forse l'Eterno, il tuo DIO, ha udito le parole di Rabshakeh, che il re di Assiria suo signore, ha mandato a insultare il DIO vivente, e lo castigherà a motivo delle parole che l'Eterno, il tuo DIO, ha udito. | 8 | Or quand Rabsaké s'en fut retourné, il alla trouver le Roi des Assyriens, qui battait Libna; car Rabsaké avait appris qu'il était parti de Lachis. | So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah; for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish. | Così Rabshakeh ritornò e trovò il re di Assiria che assediava Libnah, perché aveva saputo che il re era partito da Lakish. |
| 9 | Le Roi donc des Assyriens ouït dire touchant Tirhaka Roi d'Ethiopie; il est sorti pour te combattre; ce qu'ayant entendu, il envoya des messagers vers Ezéchias, en leur disant; | And he heard say concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He is come out to fight against thee. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying, | Allora il re di Assiria sentì dire riguardo Tirhakah, re di Etiopia: E' uscito per muoverti guerra. Appena udì questo, egli mandò dei messaggeri ad Ezechia, dicendo: |
| 10 | Vous parlerez ainsi à Ezéchias Roi de Juda, disant; que ton Dieu auquel tu te confies, ne t'abuse point, en disant: Jérusalem ne sera point livrée en la main du Roi des Assyriens. | Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. | Direte così a Ezechia, re di Giuda: Non lasciare che il tuo DIO, nel quale confidi, t'inganni dicendo: Gerusalemme, non sarà data nelle mani del re di Assiria |
| 11 | Voilà, tu as entendu ce que les Rois des Assyriens ont fait à tous les pays, en les détruisant entièrement; et tu échapperais? | Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly: and shalt thou be delivered? | Ecco, tu hai udito ciò che i re di Assiria hanno fatto a tutti gli altri paesi, votandoli alla distruzione. Scamperesti tu soltanto? |
| 12 | Les dieux des nations que mes ancêtres ont détruites, savoir de Gozan, de Charan, de Retseph, et des enfants d'Héden, qui sont en Phélasar, les ont-ils délivrées? | Have the gods of the nations delivered them, which my fathers have destroyed, Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden that were in Telassar? | Hanno forse i re delle nazioni liberato quelli che i miei padri hanno distrutto: Gozan, Haran, Retsef e i figli di Eden che erano a Telassar? |
| 13 | Où est le Roi de Hamath, et le Roi d'Arpad, et le Roi de la ville de Sépharvajim, Hénah et Hivah? | Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah? | Dove sono il re di Hamath, il re di Arpad e il re della città di Sefarvaim, di Hena e di Ivah?. |
| 14 | Et quand Ezéchias eut reçu les Lettres de la main des messagers, et les eut lues, il monta en la maison de l'Eternel, et Ezéchias les déploya devant l'Eternel. | And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up unto the house of Jehovah, and spread it before Jehovah. | Ezechia prese la lettera dalle mani dei messaggeri e la lesse; poi salì alla casa dell'Eterno e la distese davanti all'Eterno. |

Dieu d'Israël! qui es assis entre les Chérubins; toi seul es le Dieu de tous les royaumes de la terre; tu as fait les cieux et la terre. | O Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, that sittest [above] the cherubim, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. | O Eterno degli eserciti, DIO d'Israele, che siedi tra i cherubini, tu sei DIO, tu solo, di tutti i regni della terra, tu hai fatto i cieli e la terra. |
| 17 | Ô Eternel! incline ton oreille, et écoute; ô Eternel! ouvre tes yeux, et regarde, et écoute toutes les paroles de Sanchérib, lesquelles il m'a envoyé dire pour blasphémer le Dieu vivant. | Incline thine ear, O Jehovah, and hear; open thine eyes, O Jehovah, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, who hath sent to defy the living God. | Porgi il tuo orecchio, o Eterno, e ascolta, apri i tuoi occhi, o Eterno, e vedi. | 19 | Et qu'ils ont jeté au feu leurs dieux; car ce n'étaient point des dieux; mais un ouvrage de main d'homme, du bois et de la pierre; c'est pourquoi ils les ont détruits. | and have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men`s hands, wood and stone; therefore they have destroyed them. | e hanno gettato nel fuoco i loro dèi, perché quelli non erano dèi, ma opera delle mani dell'uomo, legno e pietra; per questo li hanno distrutti. |
| 20 | Maintenant donc, ô Eternel notre Dieu! délivre-nous de la main de Sanchérib, afin que tous les Royaumes de la terre sachent que toi seul es l'Eternel. | Now therefore, O Jehovah our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art Jehovah, even thou only. | Ma ora, o Eterno, DIO nostro, liberaci dalle sue mani, affinché tutti i regni della terra conoscano che tu solo sei l'Eterno. |

| 22 | C'est ici la parole que l'Eternel a prononcée contre lui. La vierge fille de Sion, t'a méprisé, et s'est moquée de toi; la fille de Jérusalem a branlé la tête après toi. | this is the word which Jehovah hath spoken concerning him: The virgin daughter of Zion hath despised thee and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee. | questa è la parola che l'Eterno ha pronunciato contro di lui: La vergine, figlia di Sion, ti disprezza e si fa beffe di te la figlia di Gerusalemme scuote il capo dietro a te. |
| 23 | Qui as-tu outragé et blasphémé? contre qui as-tu élevé ta voix, et levé tes yeux en haut? c'est contre le Saint d'Israël. | Whom hast thou defied and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice and lifted up thine eyes on high? [even] against the Holy One of Israel. | Chi hai insultato e oltraggiato? Contro chi hai alzato la voce e arrogantemente levato i tuoi occhi? Contro il Santo d'Israele. |
| 24 | Tu as outragé le Seigneur par le moyen de tes serviteurs, et tu as dit: je suis monté avec la multitude de mes chariots sur le haut des montagnes, aux côtés du Liban, je couperai les plus hauts cèdres, et les plus beaux sapins qui y soient, et j'entrerai jusques en son plus haut bout, et en la forêt de son Carmel. | By thy servants hast thou defied the Lord, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the innermost parts of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir-trees thereof; and I will enter into its farthest height, the forest of its fruitful field; | Per mezzo dei tuoi servi hai insultato il Signore e hai detto: "Con la moltitudine dei miei carri sono salito in cima ai monti, nei recessi del Libano. Abbatterò i suoi cedri più alti e i suoi cipressi più belli; raggiungerò la sua altura più remota, la sua foresta più lussureggiante. |

| 26 | N'as-tu pas entendu que déjà dès longtemps j'ai fait cette ville, et que d'ancienneté je l'ai ainsi formée? et maintenant l'aurais-je conservée pour être réduite en désolation, et les villes munies, en monceaux de ruines? | Hast thou not heard how I have done it long ago, and formed it of ancient times? now have I brought it to pass, that it should be thine to lay waste fortified cities into ruinous heaps. | Non hai forse udito che da lungo tempo ho preparato questo, da tempi antichi ne ho formato il disegno? Ora ho fatto accadere questo: che tu riducessi in cumuli di rovine città fortificate. |
| 27 | Or leurs habitants étant dénués de force ont été épouvantés et confus, et sont devenus comme l'herbe des champs; et l'herbe verte, comme le foin des toits, qui est sec avant qu'il soit monté en tuyau. | Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as a field [of grain] before it is grown up. | Perciò i loro abitanti, privi di forza, erano spaventati e confusi, erano come l'erba dei campi, come l'erbetta verde, come l'erba dei tetti, che è bruciata prima che cresca. |
| 28 | Mais je sais ton repaire, ta sortie, et ton entrée, et comment tu es furieux contre moi. | But I know thy sitting down, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy raging against me. | Ma io conosco la tua dimora, il tuo uscire e il tuo entrare e anche il tuo infuriarti contro di me. |
| 29 | Parce que tu es furieux contre moi, et que ton insolence est montée à mes oreilles, je mettrai ma boucle en tes narines, et mon mors en ta bouche, et je te ferai retourner par le chemin par lequel tu es venu. | Because of thy raging against me, and because thine arrogancy is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest. | Poiché ti sei infuriato contro di me e la tua insolenza è giunta ai miei orecchi, ti metterò il mio anello alle narici, il mio morso in bocca e ti farò ritornare per la strada per la quale sei venuto. |
| 30 | Et ceci te sera pour signe, ô Ezéchias, c'est qu'on mangera cette année ce qui viendra de soi-même aux champs; et en la seconde année, ce qui croîtra encore sans semer; mais la troisième année, vous sèmerez et vous moissonnerez; vous planterez des vignes, et vous en mangerez le fruit. | And this shall be the sign unto thee: ye shall eat this year that which groweth of itself, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof. | E questo sarà il segno per te: quest'anno mangerete ciò che cresce spontaneamente, il secondo anno ciò che nasce dallo stesso, ma il terzo anno seminerete e mieterete, pianterete vigne e ne mangerete il frutto. |
| 31 | Et ce qui est réchappé, et demeuré de reste dans la maison de Juda, étendra sa racine par-dessous, et elle produira son fruit par-dessus. | And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward. | E il residuo della casa di Giuda che sarà scampato continuerà a mettere radici in basso e a fare frutto in alto. |
| 32 | Car il sortira de Jérusalem quelques restes, et de la montagne de Sion quelques réchappés, la jalousie de l'Eternel des armées fera cela. | For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and out of mount Zion they that shall escape. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this. | Poiché da Gerusalemme, uscirà un residuo e dal monte di Sion quelli che sono scampati. Lo zelo dell'Eterno degli eserciti farà questo. |
| 33 | C'est pourquoi ainsi a dit l'Eternel touchant le Roi des Assyriens; il n'entrera point en cette ville, et il n'y jettera aucune flèche, il ne se présentera point contr'elle avec le bouclier, et il ne dressera point de terrasse contr'elle. | Therefore thus saith Jehovah concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come unto this city, nor shoot an arrow there, neither shall he come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it. | Perciò così dice l'Eterno contro il re di Assiria: Egli non entrerà in questa città né vi lancerà alcuna freccia, non le verrà davanti con scudi né costruirà contro di essa alcun terrapieno. |
| 34 | Il s'en retournera par le chemin par lequel il est venu, et il n'entrera point en cette ville, dit l'Eternel. | By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and he shall not come unto this city, saith Jehovah. | Egli ritornerà per la stessa strada da cui è venuto e non entrerà in questa città, dice l'Eterno. |
| 35 | Car je garantirai cette ville, afin de la délivrer pour l'amour de moi, et pour l'amour de David mon serviteur. | For I will defend this city to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David`s sake. | Poiché io proteggerò questa città per salvarla, per amore di me stesso per amore di Davide, mio servo. |
| 36 | Un Ange donc de l'Eternel sortit, et tua cent quatre-vingt-cinq mille hommes au camp des Assyriens; et quand on fut levé de bon matin, voilà c'étaient tous des corps morts. | And the angel of Jehovah went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies. | Quindi l'angelo dell'Eterno uscì e colpì nell'accampamento degli Assiri centottantacinquemila uomini; e quando la gente si alzò al mattino, ecco erano tutti cadaveri. |
| 37 | Et Sanchérib Roi des Assyriens partit de là, il s'en alla, et s'en retourna, et se tint à Ninive. | So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh. | Allora Sennacherib, re di Assiria, levò le tende, partì e fece ritorno a casa e rimase a Ninive. |
| 38 | Et il arriva qu'étant prosterné dans la maison de Nisroc son Dieu, Adrammélec et Saréetser ses fils le tuèrent avec l'épée; puis ils se sauvèrent au pays d'Ararat, et Esarhaddon son fils régna en sa place. | And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. And Esar-haddon his son reigned in his stead. | E avvenne che, mentre egli stava adorando nel tempio del suo dio Nisrok, i suoi figli Adrammalek e Sharetser lo uccisero a colpi di spada; poi si rifugiarono nel paese di Ararat. Al suo posto regnò suo figlio Esarhaddon. |
