| 2 | It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God. | Il fleurira abondamment, et s'égayera, s'égayant même et chantant en triomphe. La gloire du Liban lui est donnée, avec la magnificence de Carmel et de Saron, ils verront la gloire de l'Eternel, et la magnificence de notre Dieu. |
| 3 | Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. | Renforcez les mains lâches, et fortifiez les genoux tremblants. |
| 4 | Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. | Dites à ceux qui ont le coeur troublé; prenez courage, et ne craignez plus; voici votre Dieu; la vengeance viendra, la rétribution de Dieu; il viendra lui-même, et vous délivrera. |
| 5 | Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. | Alors les yeux des aveugles seront ouverts, et les oreilles des sourds seront débouchées. |
| 6 | Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. | Alors le boiteux sautera comme un cerf, et la langue du muet chantera en triomphe; car des eaux sourdront au désert; et des torrents, au lieu solitaire. |
| 7 | And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. | Et les lieux qui étaient secs, deviendront des étangs, et la terre altérée deviendra des sources d'eaux, et dans les repaires des dragons où ils faisaient leur gîte, il y aura un parvis à roseaux et à joncs. |
| 8 | And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. | Et il y aura là un sentier et un chemin, qui sera appelé le chemin de sainteté; celui qui est souillé n'y passera point, mais il sera pour ceux-là; celui qui va son chemin, et les fous, ne s'y égareront point. |
| 9 | No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: | Là il n'y aura point de lion, et aucune de ces bêtes qui ravissent les autres, n'y montera point, et ne s'y trouvera point; mais les rachetés y marcheront. |
| 10 | And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. | Ceux donc desquels l'Eternel aura payé la rançon, retourneront, et viendront en Sion avec chant de triomphe, et une joie éternelle sera sur leur tête; ils obtiendront la joie et l'allégresse; la douleur et le gémissement s'enfuiront. |
