| 3 | Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. | 4 | For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. | Mais ainsi m'a dit l'Eternel; Comme le lion et le lionceau rugit sur sa proie, et quoiqu'on appelle contre lui un grand nombre de bergers, il n'est point effrayé pour leur cri, et ne s'abaisse point pour leur bruit; ainsi l'Eternel des armées descendra pour combattre en faveur de la montagne de Sion, et de son coteau. | Poiché così mi ha detto l'Eterno: Come il leone o il leoncello rugge sulla sua preda (quando contro di lui si è riunito un gran numero di pastori e non ha paura delle loro grida né si lascia intimidire dal loro strepito), così scenderà l'Eterno degli eserciti a combattere Sul monte Sion e sul suo colle. |

| 8 | Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited. | Et l'Assyrien tombera par l'épée, qui ne sera point l'épée d'un vaillant homme, et l'épée qui ne sera point une épée d'homme le dévorera, et il s'enfuira de devant l'épée, et ses jeunes gens d'élite seront rendus tributaires. | Allora l'Assiria cadrà per una spada non d'uomo, e una spada non d'uomo la divorerà; e fuggirà davanti alla spada, e i suoi giovani saranno sottoposti a lavoro forzato. |
| 9 | And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem. | Et saisi de frayeur il s'en ira à sa forteresse, et ses capitaines seront effrayés à cause de la bannière, dit l'Eternel, duquel le feu est dans Sion, et le fourneau dans Jérusalem. | Per la paura passerà oltre la sua roccaforte, e i suoi principi saranno atterriti a motivo della bandiera, dice l'Eterno, che ha il suo fuoco in Sion e la sua fornace in Gerusalemme. |
