| 15 | Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: | Car vous avez dit: nous avons fait accord avec la mort, et nous avons intelligence avec le sépulcre; quand le fléau débordé traversera, il ne viendra point sur nous, car nous avons mis le mensonge pour notre retraite, et nous nous sommes cachés sous la fausseté. | Voi dite: Abbiamo concluso un patto con la morte, abbiamo fatto un'alleanza con lo Sceol; quando l'inondante flagello passerà, non giungerà fino a noi, perché abbiamo fatto della menzogna il nostro rifugio e ci siamo nascosti dietro la falsità. |

| 21 | For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act. | Parce que l'Eternel se lèvera comme en la montagne de Pératsim, et il sera ému comme dans la vallée de Gabaon, pour faire son oeuvre, son oeuvre extraordinaire, et pour faire son travail, son travail non accoutumé. | Poiché l'Eterno si leverà come al monte Peratsim, si adirerà come nella valle di Gabaon, per compiere la sua opera, la sua inaudita opera, per eseguire il suo lavoro, il suo lavoro insolito. |
| 22 | Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth. | Maintenant donc ne vous moquez plus, de peur que vos liens ne soient renforcés, car j'ai entendu de par le Seigneur l'Eternel des armées une consomption, qui est même déterminée sur tout le pays. | Or dunque non fate gli schernitori, perché i vostri legami non abbiano a rafforzarsi. Poiché io ho udito, da parte del Signore, l'Eterno degli eserciti, che è deciso un completo sterminio di tutto il paese. |
| 23 | Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech. | Prêtez l'oreille, et écoutez ma voix; soyez attentifs, et écoutez mon discours. | Porgete orecchio e ascoltate la mia voce, state attenti e ascoltate la mia parola! |
| 24 | Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground? | Celui qui laboure pour semer, labourera-t-il tous les jours? ne cassera-t-il pas, et ne rompra-t-il pas les mottes de sa terre? | L'agricoltore ara tutto il giorno per seminare? Continua forse a rompere e a sarchiare il suo terreno? |
| 25 | When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place? | Quand il en aura égalé le dessus, ne sèmera-t-il pas la vesce; ne répandra- t-il pas le cumin, ne mettra-t-il pas le froment au meilleur endroit, et l'orge en son lieu assigné, et l'épeautre en son quartier? | Quando ne ha appianato la superficie, non vi semina l'aneto e non vi sparge il comino, non vi mette il frumento a solchi, l'orzo nel luogo designato e il farro lungo i confini? |
| 26 | For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him. | Parce que son Dieu l'instruit et l'enseigne touchant ce qu'il faut faire. | Il suo DIO gl'insegna la regola da seguire e lo ammaestra. |
| 27 | For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod. | Car on ne foule pas la vesce avec la herse, et on ne tourne point la roue du chariot sur le cumin; mais on bat la vesce avec la verge, et le cumin avec le bâton. | L'aneto non si trebbia con la trebbiatrice né si fa passare sul comino la ruota del carro; ma l'aneto si batte con il bastone e il comino con la verga. |
| 28 | Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen. | Le blé dont on fait le pain se menuise, car le laboureur ne saurait jamais le fouler entièrement, et quoiqu'il l'écrase avec la roue de son chariot, néanmoins il ne le menuisera pas avec ses chevaux. | Il frumento per il pane deve essere schiacciato; perciò non lo si pesta per sempre, ma vi si fanno passare sopra la ruota del carro e i cavalli, senza però schiacciarlo. |
| 29 | This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working. | Ceci aussi procède de l'Eternel des armées, qui est admirable en conseil, et magnifique en moyens. | Anche questo procede dall'Eterno degli eserciti, che è meraviglioso nel suo consiglio e grande in sapienza. |
