Il taille un lieu éminent pour son sépulcre, et se creuse une demeure dans un rocher. | What doest thou here? and whom has thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out here a sepulchre? hewing him out a sepulchre on high, graving a habitation for himself in the rock! | che cosa possiedi qui e chi hai qui, che ti sei fatto scavare qui un sepolcro come chi si scava un sepolcro in alto e si taglia una tomba nella roccia? |
| 17 | Voici, ô homme! l'Eternel te chassera loin, et te couvrira entièrement. | Behold, Jehovah, like a [strong] man, will hurl thee away violently; yea, he will wrap thee up closely. | Ecco, l'Eterno ti scaglierà via con violenza, o uomo potente, e ti afferrerà saldamente. |
| 18 | Il te fera rouler fort vite comme une boule en un pays large et spacieux; tu mourras là, et là seront les chariots de ta gloire, de toi qui es la honte de la maison de ton Seigneur. | He will surely wind thee round and round, [and toss thee] like a ball into a large country; there shalt thou die, and there shall be the chariots of thy glory, thou shame of thy lord`s house. | Ti farà rotolare ben bene e ti scaglierà via come una palla in un paese spazioso. Là morrai e la finiranno i tuoi carri superbi, o vituperio della casa del tuo signore. |
| 19 | Et je te jetterai hors de ton rang, et on te déposera de ton emploi. | And I will thrust thee from thine office; and from thy station shalt thou be pulled down. | Ti scaccerò dal tuo ufficio e sarai strappato giù dal tuo posto! |

| 21 | Et je le vêtirai de ta casaque, je le ceindrai de ton baudrier, je mettrai ton autorité entre ses mains, et il sera pour père à ceux qui habitent dans Jérusalem, et à la maison de Juda. | and I will cloth him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand; and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. | IO vestirò con la tua tunica, lo cingerò con la tua cintura e rimetterò la tua autorità nelle sue mani; ed egli sarà un padre per gli abitanti di Gerusalemme e per la casa di Giuda. |

| 23 | Et je le ficherai comme un croc en un lieu ferme; et il sera pour trône de gloire à la maison de son père. | And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a throne of glory to his father`s house. | Lo pianterò come un chiodo in un luogo sicuro, ed egli diventerà un trono di gloria per la casa di suo padre. |
| 24 | Et on y pendra toute la gloire de la maison de son père, de ses parents, et de celles qui lui appartiennent; tous les ustensiles des plus petites choses, depuis les ustensiles des tasses jusques à tous les ustensiles des musettes. | And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father`s house, the offspring and the issue, every small vessel, from the cups even to all the flagons. | A lui sarà sospesa tutta la gloria della casa di suo padre, i discendenti e i rami collaterali, tutti i vasi anche piccoli, dalle coppe alle anfore di ogni specie. |
| 25 | En ce jour-là, dit l'Eternel des armées, le croc qui avait été fiché en un lieu ferme, sera ôté; et étant retranché il tombera, et ce dont il était chargé sera retranché; car l'Eternel a parlé. | In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, shall the nail that was fastened in a sure place give way; and it shall be hewn down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off; for Jehovah hath spoken it. | In quel giorno, dice l'Eterno degli eserciti, il chiodo piantato in luogo sicuro sarà tolto, sarà strappato giù e cadrà; e tutto il peso che vi era attaccato sarà distrutto, perché l'Eterno ha parlato. |
