And he did so, walking naked and barefoot. | En ce temps-là, l'Eternel parla par le ministère d'Esaïe fils d'Amots, en disant; va, et délie le sac de dessus tes reins, et déchausse tes souliers de tes pieds; ce qu'il fit, allant nu et déchaussé. |
| 3 | And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia; | Puis l'Eternel dit: comme mon serviteur Esaïe a marché nu et déchaussé, ce qui est un signe et un prodige contre l'Egypte et contre Chus pour trois années; |
| 4 | So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. | Ainsi le Roi d'Assyrie emmènera d'Egypte et de Chus prisonniers et captifs les jeunes et les vieux, les nus et les déchaussés, ayant les hanches découvertes, ce qui sera l'opprobre de l'Egypte. |
| 5 | And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory. | Ils seront effrayés, et ils seront honteux à cause de Chus, auquel ils regardaient; et à cause de l'Egypte, qui était leur gloire. |
| 6 | And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape? | Et celui qui habite en cette Ile-ci dira en ce jour-là; voilà en quel état est celui auquel nous regardions, celui auprès de qui nous nous sommes réfugiés pour avoir du secours, afin d'être délivrés de la rencontre du Roi d'Assyrie; et comment pourrons-nous échapper? |
