| 4 | so shall the king of Assyria lead away the captives of Egypt, and the exiles of Ethiopia, young and old, naked and barefoot, and with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. | così il re di Assiria condurrà via i prigionieri dell'Egitto e i deportati dell'Etiopia, giovani e vecchi, nudi e scalzi, con le natiche scoperte, a vergogna dell'Egitto. |
| 5 | And they shall be dismayed and confounded, because of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory. | Allora essi saranno spaventati e confusi, a causa dell'Etiopia, loro speranza, e a causa dell'Egitto, loro gloria. |
| 6 | And the inhabitant of this coast-land shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and we, how shall we escape? | In quel giorno gli abitanti di questa regione costiera diranno: Ecco, che cosa è avvenuto a quelli nei quali riponevamo la nostra speranza e presso i quali ci eravamo rifugiati in cerca di aiuto, per essere liberati dal re di Assiria.
