| 1 | Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: | Or, voici les commandements, les statuts et les ordonnances que l'Éternel votre Dieu a commandé de vous enseigner, afin que vous les pratiquiez, dans le pays où vous allez passer pour en prendre possession; | Or questo è il comandamento, gli statuti e i decreti che l'Eterno, il vostro DIO, ha ordinato d'insegnarvi, perché li mettiate in pratica nel paese nel quale state per entrare per prenderne possesso; |
| 2 | That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. | Afin que tu craignes l'Éternel ton Dieu, en gardant, tous les jours de ta vie, toi, ton fils, et le fils de ton fils, tous ses statuts et ses commandements que je te prescris, et afin que tes jours soient prolongés. | affinché tu tema l'Eterno, il tuo DIO, osservando, per tutti i giorni della tua vita, tu, tuo figlio e il figlio di tuo figlio, tutti i suoi statuti e tutti i suoi comandamenti che io ti do, e affinché i tuoi giorni siano prolungati. |
| 3 | Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey. | Tu les écouteras donc, ô Israël, et tu prendras garde de les pratiquer, afin que tu sois heureux, et que vous multipliiez beaucoup au pays où coulent le lait et le miel, comme l'Éternel, le Dieu de tes pères, te l'a dit. | Ascolta dunque, Israele, e abbi cura di metterli in pratica, affinché tu prosperi e moltiplichiate grandemente nel paese dove scorre latte e miele, come l'Eterno, il DIO dei tuoi padri, ti ha detto. |
| 4 | Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: | Écoute, Israël! l'Éternel notre Dieu est le seul Éternel. | Ascolta, Israele: l'Eterno, il nostro DIO, l'Eterno è uno. |
| 5 | And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. | Tu aimeras donc l'Éternel ton Dieu, de tout ton coeur, de toute ton âme, et de toute ta force; | Tu amerai dunque Eterno, il tuo DIO, con tutto i tuo cuore, con tutta la tua anima e con tutta a tua forza. |
| 6 | And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: | Et ces commandements que je te prescris aujourd'hui, seront dans ton coeur; | E queste parole che oggi ti comando rimarranno nel tuo cuore; |
| 7 | And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. | Tu les inculqueras à tes enfants, et tu en parleras quand tu te tiendras dans ta maison, quand tu marcheras en chemin, quand tu te coucheras, et quand tu te lèveras; | e inculcherai ai tuoi figli, ne parlerai quando sei seduto in casa tua, quando cammini per strada, quando sei coricato e quando ti alzi. |
| 8 | And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. | Et tu les lieras comme un signe sur ta main, et ils seront comme des fronteaux entre tes yeux; | Le legherai come un segno alla mano, saranno come fasce tra gli occhi, |
| 9 | And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. | Tu les écriras aussi sur les poteaux de ta maison, et sur tes portes. | e le scriverai sugli stipiti della tua casa e sulle tue porte. |
| 10 | And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, | Or, quand l'Éternel ton Dieu t'aura fait entrer dans le pays qu'il a juré à tes pères, Abraham, Isaac et Jacob, de te donner, dans de grandes et bonnes villes que tu n'as point bâties; | Quando poi l'Eterno, il tuo DIO, ti avrà fatto entrare nel paese che giurò ai tuoi padri, ad Abrahamo, Isacco e Giacobbe, di darti grandi e belle città che tu non hai costruito, |
| 11 | And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; | Dans des maisons pleines de toute sorte de biens, que tu n'as point remplies; vers des puits creusés, que tu n'as point creusés; vers des vignes et des oliviers, que tu n'as point plantés; et que tu mangeras, et seras rassasié; | e case piene di ogni bene che tu non hai riempito, pozzi scavati che tu non hai scavato, e vigne e uliveti che tu non hai piantato; quando dunque avrai mangiato e ti sarai saziato, |

| 14 | Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you; | Vous n'irez point après d'autres dieux, d'entre les dieux des peuples qui seront autour de vous, | Non seguirete altri dèi, fra gli dèi dei popoli che vi circondano, |
| 15 | (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth. | Car l'Éternel ton Dieu est, au milieu de toi, un Dieu jaloux; de peur que la colère de l'Éternel ton Dieu ne s'embrase contre toi, et qu'il ne t'extermine de dessus la terre. | (perché l'Eterno, il tuo DIO, che sta in mezzo a te, è un Dio geloso); altrimenti l'ira dell'Eterno, del tuo DIO, si accenderebbe contro di te e ti farebbe scomparire dalla faccia della terra. |
| 16 | Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah. | Vous ne tenterez point l'Éternel votre Dieu, comme vous le tentâtes à Massa. | Non tenterete l'Eterno, il vostro DIO, come lo tentaste a Massa. |
| 17 | Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee. | Vous garderez soigneusement les commandements de l'Éternel votre Dieu, et ses lois et ses statuts qu'il t'a prescrits. | Osserverete diligentemente i comandamenti dell'Eterno, il vostro DIO, i suoi precetti e i suoi statuti che egli vi ha ordinato. |
| 18 | And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers. | Tu feras donc ce qui est droit et bon aux yeux de l'Éternel, afin que tu sois heureux, et que tu entres, et possèdes le bon pays que l'Éternel a juré à tes pères de te donner, | perciò farai ciò che è giusto e buono agli occhi dell'Eterno, affinché tu prosperi ed entri ad occupare il buon paese che l'Eterno giurò di dare ai tuoi padri, |
| 19 | To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken. | En chassant tous tes ennemis devant toi, comme l'Éternel l'a dit. | scacciando tutti i tuoi nemici davanti a te, come l'Eterno ha promesso. |
| 20 | And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you? | Quand ton enfant t'interrogera demain, en disant: Que veulent dire les préceptes, et les statuts et les ordonnances que l'Éternel notre Dieu vous a prescrits? | Quando in avvenire tuo figlio ti domanderà: "Che significano questi precetti, statuti e decreti, che l'Eterno, il nostro DIO, vi ha comandato?", |
| 21 | Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand: | Tu diras à ton enfant: Nous avons été esclaves de Pharaon en Égypte, et l'Éternel nous a retirés d'Égypte à main forte; | tu risponderai a tuo figlio: "Eravamo schiavi del Faraone in Egitto e l'Eterno ci fece uscire dall'Egitto con mano potente. |
| 22 | And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: | Et l'Éternel a fait sous nos yeux, des signes et des miracles, grands et désastreux, contre l'Égypte, contre Pharaon et contre toute sa maison; | Inoltre l'Eterno operò sotto i nostri occhi segni e prodigi grandi e tremendi contro l'Egitto, contro il Faraone e contro tutta la sua casa. |
| 23 | And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers. | Et il nous a fait sortir de là, afin de nous amener au pays qu'il avait juré à nos pères de nous donner. | E ci fece uscire di là per condurci nel paese che aveva giurato di dar ai nostri padri. |
| 24 | And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. | Et l'Éternel nous a commandé de pratiquer tous ces statuts, en craignant l'Éternel notre Dieu, afin que nous soyons toujours heureux, et qu'il préserve notre vie, comme aujourd'hui. | Così l'Eterno ci comandò di mettere in pratica tutti questi statuti, temendo l'Eterno, il nostro DIO, per avere sempre prosperità perché egli ci conservasse in vita, come è oggi. |
| 25 | And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us. | Et nous posséderons la justice, quand nous prendrons garde de pratiquer tous ces commandements devant l'Éternel notre Dieu, comme il nous l'a ordonné. | E questa sarà la nostra giustizia, se abbiamo cura di mettere in pratica tutti questi comandamenti davanti all'Eterno, il nostro DIO, come egli ci ha ordinato". |
