| 4 | Et l'Éternel lui dit: Voilà le pays dont j'ai juré à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob, en disant: Je le donnerai à ta postérité. Je te l'ai fait voir de tes yeux, mais tu n'y entreras point. | And Jehovah said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. | L'Eterno gli disse: Questo è il paese che ho promesso con giuramento ad Abrahamo, a Isacco e a Giacobbe, dicendo: "Io lo darò alla tua discendenza". Io te l'ho fatto vedere con i tuoi occhi, ma tu non vi entrerai! |
| 5 | Et Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel, mourut là, au pays de Moab, selon l'ordre de l'Éternel. | So Moses the servant of Jehovah died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of Jehovah. | Così Mosè, servo dell'Eterno, morì là, nel paese di Moab, secondo la parola dell'Eterno. |
| 6 | Et il l'ensevelit dans la vallée, au pays de Moab, vis-à-vis de Beth-Peor; et personne n'a connu son tombeau jusqu'à aujourd'hui. | And he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. | E l'Eterno lo seppellì nella valle del paese di Moab, di fronte a Beth-Peor; e nessuno ha conosciuto fino ad oggi il luogo della sua tomba. |
| 7 | Or, Moïse était âgé de cent vingt ans quand il mourut; sa vue n'était point affaiblie, et sa vigueur n'était point passée. | And Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. | Or Mosè aveva centovent'anni quando morì; la sua vista non si era indebolita e il suo vigore non era venuto meno. |
| 8 | Et les enfants d'Israël pleurèrent Moïse trente jours dans les campagnes de Moab, et les jours des pleurs du deuil de Moïse furent accomplis. | And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended. | E i figli d'Israele lo piansero nelle pianure di Moab per trenta giorni; poi i giorni di lutto e di pianto per Mosè terminarono. |
| 9 | Et Josué, fils de Nun, fut rempli de l'Esprit de sagesse; car Moïse lui avait imposé les mains; et les enfants d'Israël lui obéirent, et se conformèrent à ce que l'Éternel avait commandé à Moïse. | And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as Jehovah commanded Moses. | Allora Giosuè, figlio di Nun, fu ripieno dello spirito di sapienza, perché Mosè aveva imposto le mani su di lui; così i figli d'Israele gli ubbidirono e fecero come l'Eterno aveva comandato a Mosè. |
| 10 | Et il ne s'est plus levé en Israël de prophète tel que Moïse, que l'Éternel connut face à face; | And there hath not arisen a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom Jehovah knew face to face, | Non è più sorto in Israele un profeta simile a Mosè, con il quale l'Eterno trattava faccia a faccia, |
| 11 | Soit pour tous les signes et les miracles que l'Éternel l'envoya faire au pays d'Égypte, devant Pharaon, et tous ses serviteurs, et tout son pays; | in all the signs and the wonders, which Jehovah sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, | in tutti i segni e prodigi che l'Eterno lo mandò a fare nel paese d'Egitto davanti a Faraone, davanti a tutti i suoi servi e in tutto il suo paese, |
| 12 | Soit pour ce qu'il fit avec une main forte, et pour toutes les oeuvres grandes et terribles que Moïse fit à la vue de tout Israël. | and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel. | in tutta quella grande potenza e in tutte le cose grandi e tremende che Mosè compì davanti agi occhi di tutto Israele. |
