| 3 | Et Yahweh, notre Dieu, livra aussi entre nos mains Og, roi de Basan, avec tout son peuple; nous le battîmes jusqu'à ce qu'il ne lui restât plus aucun de ses gens. | So Jehovah our God delivered into our hand Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining. |
| 4 | Nous prîmes alors toutes ses villes, et il n'y en eut pas une qui ne tombât entre notre pouvoir : soixante villes, toute la région d'Argob, le royaume d'Og en Basan. | And we took all his cities at that time; there was not a city which we took not from them; threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan. |

| 6 | Nous les dévouâmes par anathème, comme nous l'avions fait pour Séhon, roi de Hésebon, dévouant par anathème villes, hommes, femmes et enfants. | And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones. |

| 8 | Ainsi, dans ce temps-là, nous prîmes aux deux rois des Amorrhéens le pays qui est au-delà du Jourdain, depuis le torrent de l'Arnon jusqu'à la montagne d'Hermon. | And we took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites that were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon unto mount Hermon; |

Je donnai aux Rubénites et aux Gadites le territoire à partir d'Aroër qui domine la vallée de l'Arnon, ainsi que la moitié de la montagne de Galaad avec ses villes. | And this land we took in possession at that time: from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites: |
| 13 | Je donnai à la demi-tribu de Manassé le reste de Galaad et toute la partie de Basan formant le royaume d'Og. -- Toute la contrée d'Argob, avec tout Basan, c'est ce qu'on appelle le pays des Rephaïm. | and the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half-tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, even all Bashan. (The same is called the land of Rephaim. |

| 18 | En ce temps-là, je vous donnai cet ordre : «Yahweh, votre Dieu, vous à donné ce pays pour qu'il soit votre propriété; vous tous, hommes forts, vous marcherez en armes devant vos frères, les enfants d'Israël. | And I commanded you at that time, saying, Jehovah your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all the men of valor. |
| 19 | Vos femmes seulement, vos petits enfants et vos troupeaux, -- je sais que vous avez de nombreux troupeaux, -- resteront dans les villes que je vous ai données, | But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you, |
| 20 | jusqu'à ce que Yahweh ait accordé le repos à vos frères comme à vous, et qu'ils possèdent, eux aussi, le pays que Yahweh, votre Dieu, leur donne de l'autre côté du Jourdain. Alors vous retournerez chacun dans l'héritage que je vous ai donné.» | until Jehovah give rest unto your brethren, as unto you, and they also possess the land which Jehovah your God giveth them beyond the Jordan: then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you. |
| 21 | En ce temps-là, je donnai aussi des ordres à Josué, en disant : «Tes yeux ont vu tout ce que Yahweh, votre Dieu, a fait à ces deux rois : ainsi fera Yahweh à tous les royaumes contre lesquels tu vas marcher. | And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that Jehovah your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall Jehovah do unto all the kingdoms whither thou goest over. |
| 22 | Ne les craignez point; car Yahweh, votre Dieu, combat lui-même pour vous.» | Ye shall not fear them; for Jehovah your God, he it is that fighteth for you. |
| 23 | En ce temps-là, je suppliai Yahweh, en disant : | And I besought Jehovah at that time, saying, |
| 24 | «Seigneur Yahweh, vous avez commencé à montrer à votre serviteur votre grandeur et votre main puissante; car quel Dieu y a-t-il, au ciel et sur la terre, qui puisse accomplir vos oeuvres et vos hauts faits ? | O Lord Jehovah, thou hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness, and thy strong hand: for what god is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy mighty acts? |
| 25 | Que je passe, je vous prie, que je voie ce bon pays au-delà du Jourdain, cette belle montagne et le Liban!» | Let me go over, I pray thee, and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon. |
| 26 | Mais Yahweh s'irrita contre moi, à cause de vous, et il ne m'exauça point. Yahweh me dit : «C'est assez, ne me parle plus de cette affaire. | But Jehovah was wroth with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me; and Jehovah said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter. |
| 27 | Monte au sommet du Phasga, porte tes regards vers l'occident, vers le nord, vers le midi et vers l'orient, et contemple de tes yeux; car tu ne passeras pas ce Jourdain. | Get thee up unto the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan. |
| 28 | Donne des ordres à Josué, fortifie le et encourage-le, car c'est lui qui marchera devant ce peuple et qui le mettra en possession du pays que tu verras.» | But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see. |
