| 14 | and shalt not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. | Così non devierai né a destra né a sinistra da alcuna delle parole che oggi vi comando, per seguire altri dèi, per servirli. |
| 15 | But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day, that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee. | Ma se non ubbidisci alla voce dell'Eterno, il tuo DIO, per osservare con cura tutti i suoi comandamenti e tutti i suoi statuti che oggi ti prescrivo avverrà che tutte queste maledizioni verranno su di te e ti raggiungeranno. |

| 22 | Jehovah will smite thee with consumption, and with fever, and with inflammation, and with fiery heat, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. | L'Eterno ti colpirà con la consunzione, con la febbre, con l'infiammazione, con il caldo bruciante, con la spada, con il carbonchio e con la ruggine, che ti perseguiteranno fino alla tua distruzione. |
| 23 | And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. | Il cielo sopra il tuo capo sarà di rame e la terra sotto di te sarà di ferro. |
| 24 | Jehovah will make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. | L'Eterno muterà la pioggia del tuo paese in sabbia e polvere, che cadranno su di te finché tu sia distrutto. |
| 25 | Jehovah will cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies; thou shalt go out one way against them, and shalt flee seven ways before them: and thou shalt be tossed to and from among all the kingdoms of the earth. | L'Eterno ti abbandonerà alla disfatta e al massacro davanti ai tuoi nemici; uscirai contro di loro per una via e per sette vie fuggirai davanti a loro, e tu diventerai un oggetto di orrore a tutti i regni della terra. |

| 29 | and thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and robbed alway, and there shall be none to save thee. | e andrai brancolando in pieno giorno, come il cieco brancola nel buio; non prospererai nelle tue vie, ma sarai solo oppresso e spogliato continuamente senza nessuno che ti aiuti. |
| 30 | Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build a house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not use the fruit thereof. | Ti fidanzerai con una donna, ma un altro si coricherà con lei; costruirai una casa, ma non vi abiterai; pianterai una vigna, ma non ne coglierai l'uva. |

| 35 | Jehovah will smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore boil, whereof thou canst not be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the crown of thy head. | L'Eterno ti colpirà sulle ginocchia e sulle coscie con un'ulcera maligna, della quale non potrai guarire, dalla pianta dei piedi alla sommità del capo. |
| 36 | Jehovah will bring thee, and thy king whom thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation that thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. | L'Eterno porterà te e il tuo re, che hai costituito sopra di te, in una nazione che né tu né i tuoi padri avete conosciuto; e là servirai altri dèi di legno e di pietra; |
| 37 | And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all the peoples whither Jehovah shall lead thee away. | e diventerai oggetto di stupore, di proverbio e di scherno in mezzo a tutti i popoli fra i quali l'Eterno ti condurrà. |
| 38 | Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather little in; for the locust shall consume it. | Porterai molta semente al campo ma raccoglierai poco, perché la locusta la divorerà. |
| 39 | Thou shalt plant vineyards and dress them, but thou shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather [the grapes]; for the worm shall eat them. | Pianterai vigne, le coltiverai, ma non berrai vino né coglierai uva, perché il verme le roderà. |
| 40 | Thou shalt have olive-trees throughout all thy borders, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast [its fruit]. | Avrai ulivi in tutto il tuo territorio ma non ti ungerai di olio, perché le tue olive cadranno. |

| 59 | then Jehovah will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. | allora l'Eterno rovescerà su di te e sui tuoi discendenti indescrivibili calamità, calamità grandi e durature, e malattie maligne e ostinate; |
| 60 | And he will bring upon thee again all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. | inoltre farà tornare su di te tutte le malattie d'Egitto, di cui avevi paura, e si attaccheranno a te. |
| 61 | Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will Jehovah bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. | Anche tutte le malattie e tutte le calamità non scritte nel libro di questa legge, l'Eterno le farà venir su di te, finché tu sia distrutto. |

| 63 | And it shall come to pass, that, as Jehovah rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you, so Jehovah will rejoice over you to cause you to perish, and to destroy you; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest in to possess it. | E avverrà che, come l'Eterno prendeva piacere nel farvi del bene e nel moltiplicarvi, così l'Eterno prenderà piacere nel farvi perire e nel distruggervi; e sarete strappati dal paese che entri ad occupare. |
| 64 | And Jehovah will scatter thee among all peoples, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou nor thy fathers, even wood and stone. | L'Eterno ti disperderà fra tutti i popoli, da un'estremità all'altra della terra; e là servirai altri dèi, che né tu né i tuoi padri avete mai conosciuto, di legno e di pietra. |
| 65 | And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, and there shall be no rest for the sole of thy foot: but Jehovah will give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and pining of soul; | E fra quelle nazioni non troverai requie e non vi sarà luogo di riposo per la pianta dei tuoi piedi; là l'Eterno ti darà un cuore tremante, occhi che si struggono e angoscia d'anima. |
| 66 | and thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear night and day, and shalt have no assurance of thy life. | La tua vita ti starà davanti come sospesa nell'incertezza; tremerai notte e giorno e non avrai alcuna sicurezza della tua esistenza. |
| 67 | In the morning thou shalt say, Would it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would it were morning! for the fear of thy heart which thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. | La mattina dirai: "Fosse sera!", e la sera dirai: "Fosse mattina!", a motivo dello spavento che riempirà il tuo cuore ed a motivo dello spettacolo che i tuoi occhi vedranno. |
| 68 | And Jehovah will bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I said unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall sell yourselves unto your enemies for bondmen and for bondwomen, and no man shall buy you. | E l'Eterno ti farà tornare in Egitto su navi, per la via di cui ti avevo detto: "Non la rivedrai mai più!".
