| 3 | Et ce Daniel surpassa les présidents et les satrapes, parce qu'il y avait en lui un esprit extraordinaire; et le roi pensa à l'établir sur tout le royaume. | Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. | Ora questo Daniele eccelleva sugli altri prefetti e satrapi, perché in lui c'era uno spirito superiore, e il re pensava di stabilirlo sopra tutto il regno. |
| 4 | Alors les présidents et les satrapes cherchèrent à trouver dans l'administration du royaume quelque sujet d'accusation contre Daniel; et ils ne pouvaient trouver aucun sujet d'accusation ni aucune faute, parce qu'il était fidèle; et aucun manquement ni aucune faute ne se trouva en lui. | Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. | Allora i prefetti e i satrapi cercarono di trovare un pretesto contro Daniele riguardo l'amministrazione del regno, ma non poterono trovare alcun pretesto o corruzione, perché egli era fedele e non si potè trovare in lui alcun errore o corruzione. |
| 5 | Et ces hommes dirent: Nous ne trouverons dans ce Daniel aucun sujet d'accusation, à moins que nous n'en trouvions contre lui à cause de la loi de son Dieu. | Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God. | Allora quegli uomini dissero: Non troveremo mai nessun pretesto contro questo Daniele, eccetto che lo troviamo contro di lui nella legge stessa del suo Dio. |
| 6 | Alors ces présidents et ces satrapes s'assemblèrent en foule auprès du roi, et lui parlèrent ainsi: Roi Darius, vis à jamais! | Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever. | Allora quei prefetti e satrapi si radunarono tumultuosamente presso il re e gli dissero: O re Dario, possa tu vivere per sempre! |
| 7 | Tous les présidents du royaume, les préfets et les satrapes, les conseillers et les gouverneurs, ont tenu conseil ensemble pour établir un statut royal et mettre en vigueur une défense, portant que quiconque fera une demande à quelque dieu ou à quelque homme que ce soit, durant trente jours, excepté à toi, ô roi, sera jeté dans la fosse aux lions. | All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. | Tutti i prefetti del regno, i governatori e i satrapi, i consiglieri e i comandanti si sono consultati insieme per promulgare un editto reale e fare un fermo decreto, in base ai quali chiunque durante trenta giorni rivolgerà una richiesta a qualsiasi dio o uomo all'infuori di te, o re, sia gettato nella fossa dei leoni. |
| 8 | Maintenant, ô roi, établis la défense, et signe l'écrit afin qu'il ne soit pas changé, selon la loi des Mèdes et des Perses, qui ne peut être abrogée. | Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. | Ora, o re, promulga il decreto e firma il documento, in modo che non possa essere cambiato in conformità alla legge dei Medi e dei Persiani, che è irrevocabile. |

| 10 | Or Daniel, quand il sut que l'écrit était signé, entra dans sa maison; et, ses fenêtres étant ouvertes dans sa chambre haute, du côté de Jérusalem, il s'agenouillait sur ses genoux trois fois le jour, et priait, et rendait grâce devant son Dieu, comme il avait fait auparavant. | Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. | Quando Daniele seppe che il documento era stato firmato, entrò in casa sua. | 12 | Alors ils s'approchèrent et dirent devant le roi, touchant la défense du roi: N'as-tu pas signé une défense, portant que tout homme qui, durant trente jours, ferait une demande à quelque dieu ou à quelque homme que ce fût, excepté à toi, ô roi, serait jeté dans la fosse aux lions? Le roi répondit et dit: La chose est certaine, selon la loi des Mèdes et des Perses, qui ne peut être abrogée. | Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. | Così si avvicinarono al re e parlarono davanti a lui del decreto reale: Non hai tu firmato un decreto in base al quale chiunque durante trenta giorni farà una richiesta a qualsiasi dio o uomo all'infuori di te, o re, sarebbe gettato nella fossa dei leoni?. Il re rispose e disse: La cosa è stabilita in conformità alla legge dei Medi e dei Persiani, che non può essere alterata. |
| 13 | Alors ils répondirent et dirent devant le roi: Daniel, qui est d'entre les fils de la captivité de Juda, ne tient pas compte de toi, ô roi, ni de la défense que tu as signée, mais il fait sa requête trois fois par jour. | Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day. | Allora quelli ripresero a dire davanti al re: Daniele, che è uno degli esuli di Giuda, non mostra alcun riguardo per te, o re, o per il decreto che hai firmato ma rivolge suppliche al suo Dio tre volte al giorno. |
| 14 | Alors le roi, quand il entendit ces paroles, en fut fort affligé, et il pensa avec sollicitude à Daniel afin de le sauver, et jusqu'au coucher du soleil il s'efforça de le délivrer. | Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him. | All'udire ciò, il re ne fu grandemente dispiaciuto e si mise in cuore di liberare Daniele, e fino al tramonto del sole si affaticò per strapparlo dalle loro mani. |
| 15 | Alors ces hommes s'assemblèrent en foule auprès du roi, et dirent au roi: Sache, ô roi, que c'est la loi des Mèdes et des Perses, qu'aucune défense ou statut que le roi a établi, ne peut être changé. | Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed. | Ma quegli uomini vennero tumultuosamente dal re e gli dissero: Sappi, o re, che è legge dei Medi e dei Persiani che nessun decreto o editto promulgato dal re può essere cambiato. |
| 16 | Alors le roi donna des ordres, et on amena Daniel, et on le jeta dans la fosse aux lions. Le roi prit la parole et dit à Daniel: Ton Dieu que tu sers continuellement, lui, te sauvera. | Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee. | Allora il re diede l'ordine e Daniele fu portato via e gettato nella fossa dei leoni. Ma il re parlò a Daniele e gli disse: Il tuo Dio, che tu servi del continuo, sarà egli stesso a liberarti. |
| 17 | Et une pierre fut apportée et mise sur l'ouverture de la fosse, et le roi la scella de son cachet et du cachet de ses grands, afin que l'intention à l'égard de Daniel ne fût pas changée. | And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel. | Poi fu portata una pietra che fu messa sulla bocca della fossa il re la sigillò con il suo anello e con l'anello dei suoi grandi, perché la decisione riguardo a Daniele non fosse cambiata. |
| 18 | Alors le roi s'en alla dans son palais, et il passa la nuit en jeûnant, et ne voulut pas qu'on lui amenât des concubines; et son sommeil s'enfuit loin de lui. | Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him. | Allora il re si ritirò nel suo palazzo e passò la notte digiunando, non fu portato davanti a lui alcun musicista e anche il sonno lo abbandonò. |
| 19 | Ensuite le roi se leva avec l'aurore, au point du jour, et s'en alla en hâte à la fosse aux lions. | Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. | La mattina dopo il re si alzò molto presto e si recò in fretta alla fossa dei leoni. |
| 20 | Et comme il approchait de la fosse, il cria à Daniel d'une voix triste. Le roi prit la parole et dit à Daniel: Daniel, serviteur du Dieu vivant, ton Dieu, que tu sers continuellement, a-t-il pu te délivrer des lions? | And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? | Giunto vicino alla fossa, chiamò Daniele con voce accorata il re prese a dire a Daniele: Daniele, servo del Dio vivente, il tuo Dio, che tu servi del continuo ha potuto liberarti dai leoni?. |
| 21 | Alors Daniel parla au roi: O roi, vis à jamais! | Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. | Allora Daniele disse al re: O re, possa tu vivere per sempre! |
| 22 | Mon Dieu a envoyé son ange et a fermé la gueule des lions, et ils ne m'ont fait aucun mal, parce que devant lui l'innocence s'est trouvée en moi, et devant toi non plus, ô roi, je n'ai rien fait de mal. | My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. | Il mio Dio ha mandato il suo angelo che ha chiuso le bocche dei leoni, ed essi non mi hanno fatto alcun male, perché sono stato trovato innocente davanti a lui; ma anche davanti a te, o re, non ho fatto alcun male. |
| 23 | Alors le roi fut très-joyeux et dit qu'on tirât Daniel de la fosse, et Daniel fut tiré de la fosse, et aucun mal ne fut trouvé sur lui, parce qu'il s'était confié en son Dieu. | Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God. | Allora il re fu ripieno di gioia e ordinò di tirar fuori Daniele dalla fossa. Così Daniele fu tirato fuori dalla fossa e non si trovò su di lui alcuna lesione, perché aveva confidato nel suo Dio. |
| 24 | Et le roi donna des ordres, et on amena ces hommes qui avaient accusé Daniel, et on les jeta dans la fosse aux lions, eux, leurs enfants et leurs femmes; et ils n'étaient pas parvenus au fond de la fosse, que déjà les lions se rendirent maîtres d'eux et leur brisèrent tous les os. | And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den. | Il re ordinò quindi che fossero fatti venire quegli uomini che avevano accusato Daniele e furono gettati nella fossa dei leoni, essi, i loro figli e le loro mogli. E, prima ancora che giungessero in fondo alla fossa, i leoni furono loro addosso e stritolarono tutte le loro ossa. |
| 25 | Alors le roi Darius écrivit: A tous les peuples, peuplades et langues, qui habitent sur toute la terre! Que votre paix soit multipliée! | Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you. | Allora il re Dario scrisse a tutti i popoli, nazioni e lingue che abitavano su tutta la terra: La vostra pace sia grande! |
| 26 | De par moi l'ordre est donné que, dans tous les gouvernements de mon royaume, on tremble devant le Dieu de Daniel et on le craigne; car il est le Dieu vivant, et il subsiste à jamais, et son royaume est un royaume qui ne sera pas détruit, et sa domination durera jusqu'à la fin. | I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end. | Io decreto che in tutto il dominio del mio regno si tremi e si tema davanti al Dio di Daniele, perché egli è il Dio vivente, che sussiste in eterno. Il suo regno non sarà mai distrutto e il suo dominio non avrà mai fine. |
| 27 | Il sauve et il délivre, et il opère des signes et des prodiges dans les cieux et sur la terre: c'est lui qui a sauvé Daniel de la puissance des lions. | He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. | Egli libera, salva, e opera segni e prodigi in cielo e sulla terra; è lui che ha liberato Daniele dal potere dei leoni. |
| 28 | Et ce Daniel prospéra pendant le règne de Darius et pendant le règne de Cyrus, le Perse. | So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian. | Così questo Daniele prosperò durante il regno di Dario e durante il regno di Ciro, il Persiano. |
