Que tes pensées ne te troublent pas, et ne change pas de couleur: | Now the queen by reason of the words of the king and his lords came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed: | La regina, a motivo delle parole del re e dei suoi grandi, entrò nella sala del banchetto. La regina prese a dire: O re possa tu vivere per sempre! I tuoi pensieri non ti turbino e il tuo aspetto non Cambi. |

And the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry? | Allora Daniele fu introdotto alla presenza del re; il re parlò a Daniele e gli disse: Sei tu Daniele, uno degli esuli di Giuda, che il re mio padre condusse dalla Giudea? |
| 14 | Et j'ai entendu dire de toi que l'esprit des dieux est en toi, et que de la lumière, et de l'intelligence, et une sagesse extraordinaire se trouvent en toi. | I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee. | Ho inteso dire di te che lo spirito degli dèi è in te e che in te si trova luce, intendimento e una sapienza straordinaria. |
| 15 | Et maintenant, les sages, les enchanteurs, ont été amenés devant moi, afin qu'ils lussent cette écriture et m'en fissent connaître l'interprétation, et ils n'ont pu indiquer l'interprétation de la chose. | And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing: | Ora hanno fatto venire alla mia presenza i savi e gli astrologi perché leggessero questa scritta e me ne facessero conoscere l'interpretazione ma non sono stati capaci di darmi l'interpretazione della cosa. |
| 16 | Et j'ai entendu dire de toi que tu peux donner des interprétations et résoudre les problèmes difficiles. Maintenant, si tu peux lire l'écriture et m'en faire connaître l'interprétation, tu seras vêtu de pourpre, et tu auras une chaîne d'or autour de ton cou, et tu seras le troisième gouverneur dans le royaume. | And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom. | Ho invece sentito dire di te che tu puoi dare l'interpretazione e risolvere questioni complicate. Ora se sei capace di leggere questa scritta e farmene conoscere l'interpretazione, tu sarai rivestito di porpora, porterai una collana d'oro al collo e sarai terzo nel governo del regno. |
| 17 | Alors Daniel répondit et dit devant le roi: Que tes présents te demeurent, et donne tes récompenses à un autre. Toutefois je lirai l'écriture au roi, et je lui en ferai connaître l'interprétation. | Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation. | Allora Daniele rispose e disse davanti al re: Tieniti pure i tuoi doni e da' a un altro le tue ricompense; tuttavia io leggerò la scritta al re e gliene farò conoscere l'interpretazione. |
| 18 | O roi, le Dieu Très-haut donna à Nebucadnetsar, ton père, le royaume, et la grandeur, et l'honneur, et la majesté; | O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour: | O re, il Dio Altissimo aveva dato a Nebukadnetsar tuo padre regno, grandezza, gloria e maestà. |
| 19 | et, à cause de la grandeur qu'il lui donna, tous les peuples, les peuplades et les langues, tremblaient devant lui, et le craignaient; il tuait qui il voulait, et il conservait en vie qui il voulait; il exaltait qui il voulait, et il abaissait qui il voulait. | And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down. | Per la grandezza che gli aveva dato tutti i popoli, tutte le nazioni e lingue tremavano e temevano davanti a lui: egli faceva morire chi voleva e lasciava in vita chi voleva, innalzava chi voleva e abbassava chi voleva. |
| 20 | Mais quand son coeur s'éleva et que son esprit s'endurcit jusqu'à l'orgueil, il fut précipité du trône de son royaume, et sa dignité lui fut ôtée; | But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: | Quando però il suo cuore si innalzò e il suo spirito si indurì fino all'arroganza, fu deposto dal suo trono reale e gli fu tolta la sua gloria. |
| 21 | et il fut chassé du milieu des fils des hommes, et son coeur fut rendu semblable à celui des bêtes, et sa demeure fut avec les ânes sauvages; on le nourrit d'herbe comme les boeufs, et son corps fut baigné de la rosée des cieux, jusqu'à ce qu'il connut que le Dieu Très-haut domine sur le royaume des hommes, et qu'il y établit qui il veut. | And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will. | Fu quindi scacciato di mezzo ai figli degli uomini, il suo cuore fu reso simile a quello delle bestie e la sua dimora fu con gli asini selvatici; gli fu data da mangiare erba come ai buoi e il suo corpo fu bagnato dalla rugiada del cielo finché riconobbe che il Dio altissimo domina sul regno degli uomini e su di esso stabilisce chi vuole. |

| 23 | Mais tu t'es élevé contre le Seigneur des cieux; et on a apporté devant toi les vases de sa maison, et toi et tes grands, tes femmes et tes concubines, vous y avez bu du vin; et tu as loué les dieux d'argent et d'or, d'airain, de fer, de bois et de pierre, qui ne voient, et n'entendent, et ne comprennent point; et le Dieu en la main duquel est ton souffle, et à qui appartiennent toutes tes voies, tu ne l'as pas glorifié. | But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified: | anzi ti sei innalzato contro il Signore del cielo; ti sei fatto portare davanti i vasi del suo tempio, e in essi avete bevuto vino tu e i tuoi grandi le tue mogli e le tue concubine. Inoltre hai lodato gli dèi d'argento, d'oro, di bronzo, di ferro, di legno e di pietra, che non vedono, non odono e non comprendono e non hai glorificato il Dio, nella cui mano è il tuo soffio vitale e a cui appartengono tutte le tue vie. |
