Celui qui le montait avait un arc ; une couronne lui fut donnée, et il partit en vainqueur et pour vaincre. | And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. | E io vidi, ed ecco un cavallo bianco. E colui che lo cavalcava aveva un arco e gli fu data una corona, ed egli uscì fuori come vincitore e per vincere. |

Celui qui le montait reçut le pouvoir d'enlever la paix de la terre, afin que les hommes s'égorgeassent les uns les autres ; et une grande épée lui fut donnée. | And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. | Allora uscì fuori un altro cavallo rosso, e a colui che lo cavalcava fu dato di togliere la pace dalla terra, affinché gli uomini si uccidessero gli uni gli altri, e gli fu data una grande spada. |

Celui qui le montait tenait une balance dans sa main. | And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. | Quando egli aperse il terzo sigillo udii il terzo essere vivente che diceva: Vieni e vedi. E io vidi, ed ecco un cavallo nero; e colui che lo cavalcava aveva una bilancia in mano. |
| 6 | Et j'entendis au milieu des quatre êtres vivants une voix qui disait : Une mesure de blé pour un denier, et trois mesures d'orge pour un denier ; mais ne fais point de mal à l'huile et au vin. | And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. | E udii una voce in mezzo ai quattro esseri viventi che diceva: Un chenice di frumento per un denaro, e tre chenici d'orzo per un denaro, e non danneggiare né l'olio né il vino. |

Le pouvoir leur fut donné sur le quart de la terre, pour faire périr les hommes par l'épée, par la famine, par la mortalité, et par les bêtes sauvages de la terre. | And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. | E io vidi, ed ecco un cavallo giallastro; e colui che lo cavalcava aveva nome la Morte, e dietro ad essa veniva l'Ades. | 10 | Ils crièrent d'une voix forte, en disant : Jusques à quand, Maître saint et véritable, tarde-tu à juger, et à tirer vengeance de notre sang sur les habitants de la terre ? | And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? | e gridarono a gran voce dicendo: Fino a quando aspetti, o Signore, che sei il Santo e il Verace, a fare giustizia del nostro sangue sopra coloro che abitano sulla terra?. |
