| 1 | Et je vis un ange puissant qui criait d'une voix forte "Qui est digne d'ouvrir le livre et de rompre les sceaux ?" | And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the back, close sealed with seven seals. |
| 2 | Et personne ni dans le ciel, ni sur la terre, ne pouvait ouvrir le livre ni le regarder. | And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a great voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? |
| 3 | Et moi je pleurais beaucoup de ce qu'il ne se trouvait personne qui fût digne d'ouvrir le livre, ni de le regarder. | And no one in the heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look thereon. |
| 4 | Alors un des vieillards me dit : "Ne pleure point; voici que le lion de la tribu de Juda, le rejeton de David, a vaincu, de manière à pouvoir ouvrir le livre et ses sept sceaux." | And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look thereon: |
| 5 | Et je vis, et voici qu'au milieu du trône et des quatre animaux, et au milieu des vieillards, | and one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book and the seven seals thereof. |
| 6 | un Agneau était debout : il semblait avoir été immolé; il avait sept cornes et sept yeux, qui sont les sept Esprits de Dieu envoyés par toute la terre. Il vint, et reçut le livre de la main droite de Celui qui était assis sur le trône. | And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth. |
| 7 | Quand il eut reçu le livre, les quatre animaux et les vingt-quatre vieillards se prosternèrent devant l'Agneau, tenant chacun une harpe et des coupes d'or pleines de parfums, qui sont les prières des saints. | And he came, and he taketh [it] out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne. |
| 8 | Et ils chantaient un cantique nouveau, en disant : "Vous êtes digne de recevoir le livre et d'en ouvrir les sceaux; car vous avez été immolé et vous avez racheté pour Dieu, par votre sang, des hommes de toute tribu, de toute langue, de tout peuple et de toute nation ; | And when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. |
| 9 | et vous les avez faits rois et prêtres, et ils régneront sur la terre." | And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood [men] of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation, |
| 10 | Puis je vis, et j'entendis autour du trône, autour des animaux et des vieillards, la voix d'une multitude d'anges, et leur nombre était des myriades et des milliers de milliers. | and madest them [to be] unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon earth. |
| 11 | Ils disaient d'une voix forte : "L'Agneau qui a été immolé est digne de recevoir la puissance, la richesse, la sagesse, la force, l'honneur, la gloire et la bénédiction." | And I saw, and I heard a voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; |
| 12 | Et toutes les créatures qui sont dans le ciel, sur la terre, sous la terre et dans la mer, et toutes les choses qui s'y trouvent, je les entendis qui disaient : "A Celui qui est assis sur le trône et à l'Agneau, louange, honneur, gloire et puissance dans les siècles des siècles! " | saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb that hath been slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might and honor, and glory, and blessing. |
| 13 | Et les quatre animaux disaient : "Amen ! "Et les vieillards se prosternèrent et adorèrent [Celui qui vit aux siècles des siècles]. | And every created thing which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things are in them, heard I saying, Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, [be] the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever. |
| 14 | Et je vis l'Agneau qui ouvrit le premier des sept sceaux, et j'entendis l'un des quatre animaux qui disait comme d'une voix de tonnerre : | And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped. |
