| 1 | After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. | Après ces choses je regardai, et voici une porte fut ouverte au Ciel; et la première voix que j'avais ouïe comme d'une trompette, et qui parlait avec moi, me dit: monte ici, et je te montrerai les choses qui doivent arriver à l'avenir. | After these things I saw, and behold, a door opened in heaven, and the first voice that I heard, [a voice] as of a trumpet speaking with me, one saying, Come up hither, and I will show thee the things which must come to pass hereafter. |
| 2 | And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. | Et sur-le-champ je fus ravi en esprit: et voici, un trône était posé au Ciel, et quelqu'un était assis sur le trône. | Straightway I was in the Spirit: and behold, there was a throne set in heaven, and one sitting upon the throne; |
| 3 | And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. | Et celui qui y était assis, paraissait semblable à une pierre de jaspe, et de sardoine; et autour du trône paraissait un arc-en-ciel, semblable à une émeraude. | and he that sat [was] to look upon like a jasper stone and a sardius: and [there was] a rainbow round about the throne, like an emerald to look upon. |
| 4 | And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. | Et il y avait autour du trône vingt-quatre sièges; et je vis sur les sièges vingt-quatre Anciens assis, vêtus d'habillements blancs, et ayant sur leurs têtes des couronnes d'or. | And round about the throne [were] four and twenty thrones: and upon the thrones [I saw] four and twenty elders sitting, arrayed in white garments; and on their heads crowns of gold. |
| 5 | And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. | Et du trône sortaient des éclairs et des tonnerres, et des voix; et il y avait devant le trône sept lampes de feu ardentes, qui sont les sept Esprits de Dieu. | And out of the throne proceed lightnings and voices and thunders. And [there was] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God; |
| 6 | And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. | Et au-devant du trône il y avait une mer de verre, semblable à du cristal; et au milieu du trône et autour du trône quatre animaux, pleins d'yeux devant et derrière. | and before the throne, as it were a sea of glass like a crystal; and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, four living creatures full of eyes before and behind. |
| 7 | And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. | Et le premier animal était semblable à un lion; le second animal, était semblable à un veau; le troisième animal avait la face comme un homme; et le quatrième animal était semblable à un aigle qui vole. | And the first creature [was] like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face as of a man, and the fourth creature [was] like a flying eagle. |
| 8 | And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. | Et les quatre animaux avaient chacun six ailes à l'entour; et par-dedans ils étaient pleins d'yeux; et ils ne cessent point de dire jour et nuit: Saint! | 10 | The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, | Les vingt-quatre Anciens se prosternaient devant celui qui était assis sur le trône, et adoraient celui qui est vivant aux siècles des siècles, et ils jetaient leurs couronnes devant le trône, en disant: | the four and twenty elders shall fall down before him that sitteth on the throne, and shall worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and shall cast their crowns before the throne, saying, |
| 11 | Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. | Seigneur, tu es digne de recevoir gloire, honneur et puissance; car tu as créé toutes choses; c'est par ta volonté qu'elles existent et qu'elles ont été créées. | Worthy art thou, our Lord and our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power: for thou didst create all things, and because of thy will they were, and were created. |
