| 2 | Et le premier partit et répandit sa coupe sur la terre; et un ulcère malin et douloureux frappa les hommes qui avaient la marque de la bête et ceux qui adoraient son image. | And the first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth; and it became a noisome and grievous sore upon the men that had the mark of the beast, and that worshipped his image. |
| 3 | Puis le second répandit sa coupe dans la mer ; et elle devint comme le sang d'un mort, et tout être vivant qui était dans la mer mourut. | And the second poured out his bowl into the sea; and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living soul died, [even] the things that were in the sea. |
| 4 | Puis le troisième répandit sa coupe dans les fleuves et les sources d'eau ; et les eaux devinrent du sang. | And the third poured out his bowl into the rivers and the fountains of the waters; and it became blood. |
| 5 | Et j'entendis l'ange des eaux qui disait : "Vous êtes juste, vous qui êtes et qui étiez, vous le Saint, d'avoir exercé ce jugement. | And I heard the angel of the waters saying, Righteous art thou, who art and who wast, thou Holy One, because thou didst thus judge: |
| 6 | Car ils ont versé le sang des justes et des prophètes, et vous leur avez donné du sang à boire : ils en sont dignes! " | for they poured out the blood of the saints and the prophets, and blood hast thou given them to drink: they are worthy. |
| 7 | Et j'entendis l'autel qui disait : "Oui, Seigneur, Dieu tout-puissant, vos jugements sont vrais et justes." | And I heard the altar saying, Yea, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. |
| 8 | Puis le quatrième répandit sa coupe sur le soleil, et il lui fut donné de brûler les hommes par le feu ; | And the fourth poured out his bowl upon the sun; and it was given unto it to scorch men with fire. |
| 9 | et les hommes furent brûlés d'une chaleur extrême, et ils blasphémèrent le nom de Dieu qui est le maître de ces plaies, et ils ne se repentirent point pour lui rendre gloire. | And men were scorched men with great heat: and they blasphemed the name of God who hath the power over these plagues; and they repented not to give him glory. |
| 10 | Puis le Cinquième répandit sa coupe sur le trône de la bête, et son royaume fut plongé dans les ténèbres ; les hommes se mordaient la langue de douleur, | And the fifth poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was darkened; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, |
| 11 | et ils blasphémèrent le Dieu du ciel à cause de leurs douleurs et de leurs ulcères, et ils ne se repentirent point de leurs oeuvres. | and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they repented not of their works. |
| 12 | Puis le sixième répandit sa coupe sur le grand fleuve de l'Euphrate, et les eaux en furent desséchées, afin de livrer passage aux rois venant de l'Orient. | And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river, the [river] Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way might by made ready for the kings that [come] from the sunrising. |
| 13 | Et je vis sortir de la bouche du dragon, et de la bouche de la bête, et de la bouche du faux prophète, trois esprits impurs, semblables à des grenouilles. | And I saw [coming] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, as it were frogs: |
| 14 | Car ce sont des esprits de démons qui font des prodiges, et ils vont vers les rois de toute la terre, afin de les rassembler pour le combat du grand jour du Dieu tout-puissant. | for they are spirits of demons, working signs; which go forth unto the kings of the whole world, to gather them together unto the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. |
| 15 | Voici que je viens comme un voleur. Heureux celui qui veille et qui garde ses vêtements, pour ne pas aller nu et ne pas laisser voir sa honte ! | (Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walked naked, and they see his shame.) |
| 16 | Et ils les rassemblèrent dans le lieu appelé en hébreu Armaguédon. | And they gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew Har-magedon. |
| 17 | Puis le septième répandit sa coupe dans l'air; et il sortit du sanctuaire une grande voix venant du trône, qui disait : "C'en est fait! " | And the seventh poured out his bowl upon the air; and there came forth a great voice out of the temple, from the throne, saying, It is done: |
| 18 | Et il y eut des éclairs, des voix, des tonnerres, et un grand tremblement, tel que jamais, depuis que l'homme est sur la terre, il n'y eut tremblement de terre aussi grand. | and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since there were men upon the earth, so great an earthquake, so mighty. |
| 19 | La grande cité fut divisée en trois parties, et les villes des nations s'écroulèrent, et Dieu se souvint de Babylone la grande, pour lui faire boire la coupe du vin de son ardente colère. | And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. |
| 20 | Toutes les îles s'enfuirent, et l'on ne retrouva plus de montagnes. | And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. |
| 21 | Et des grêlons énormes, pouvant peser un talent, tombèrent du ciel sur les hommes; et les hommes blasphémèrent Dieu à cause du fléau de la grêle, parce que ce fléau était très grand. | And great hail, [every stone] about the weight of a talent, cometh down out of heaven upon men: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof is exceeding great. |
