| 2 | Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, disant: Ce peuple dit: Le temps n'est pas venu, le temps de la maison de l'Éternel, pour la bâtir. | Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, saying, This people say, It is not the time [for us] to come, the time for Jehovah`s house to be built. | Così dice l'Eterno degli eserciti: Questo popolo dice: "Il tempo non è ancora giunto, il tempo in cui la casa dell'Eterno dev'essere ricostruita". |

| 5 | Et maintenant, ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées: Considérez bien vos voies. | Now therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways. | Perciò ora dice l'Eterno degli eserciti: Considerate bene il vostro comportamento! |
| 6 | Vous avez semé beaucoup, et vous rentrez peu; vous mangez, mais vous n'êtes pas rassasiés; vous buvez, mais vous n'en avez pas assez; vous vous vêtez, mais personne n'a chaud; et celui qui travaille pour des gages, travaille pour les mettre dans une bourse trouée. | Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages [to put it] into a bag with holes. | Avete seminato molto, ma avete raccolto poco; mangiate, ma non fino a saziarvi; bevete, ma non fino a soddisfare la sete, vi vestite, ma nessuno sta al caldo; chi guadagna un salario, lo guadagna per riporlo in una borsa forata. |

| 8 | Montez à la montagne et apportez du bois, et bâtissez la maison; et j'y prendrai plaisir, et je serai glorifié, dit l'Éternel. | Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith Jehovah. | Salite sui monti, portate legname e costruite il tempio, perché possa compiacermi in esso ed essere così glorificato, dice l'Eterno. |
| 9 | Vous vous attendiez à beaucoup, et voici, ce n'a été que peu; et vous l'avez apporté à la maison, et j'ai soufflé dessus. Pourquoi? dit l'Éternel des armées. A cause de ma maison, qui est dévastée, - et vous courez chacun à sa maison. | Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith Jehovah of hosts. Because of my house that lieth waste, while ye run every man to his own house. | Vi aspettavate molto, ma in realtà c'è stato poco; quando poi l'avete portato a casa, io l'ho soffiato via. | 11 | et j'ai appelé une sécheresse sur la terre, et sur les montagnes, et sur le blé, et sur le moût, et sur l'huile, et sur ce que le sol rapporte, et sur les hommes et sur les bêtes, et sur tout le travail des mains. | And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the grain, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labor of the hands. | E io ho chiamato la siccità sul paese, sui monti, sul grano, sul mosto, sull'olio e su tutto ciò che il suolo produce, sugli uomini, sul bestiame e su tutto il lavoro delle vostre mani. |
| 12 | Et Zorobabel, fils de Shealthiel, et Joshua, fils de Jotsadak, le grand sacrificateur, et tout le reste du peuple, écoutèrent la voix de l'Éternel, leur Dieu, et les paroles d'Aggée le prophète, selon la mission que lui avait donnée l'Éternel, leur Dieu; et le peuple craignit l'Éternel. | Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of Jehovah their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as Jehovah their God had sent him; and the people did fear before Jehovah. | Zorobabel, figlio di Scealtiel, e Giosué, figlio di Jehotsadak, il sommo sacerdote, e tutto il resto del popolo diedero ascolto alla voce dell'Eterno, il loro DIO, e alle parole del profeta Aggeo perché l'Eterno, il loro DIO, lo aveva mandato, e il popolo ebbe timore della presenza dell'Eterno. |
| 13 | Et Aggée, le messager de l'Éternel, parla au peuple par le message de l'Éternel, disant: Je suis avec vous, dit l'Éternel. | Then spake Haggai Jehovah`s messenger in Jehovah`s message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith Jehovah. | Allora Aggeo, il messaggero dell'Eterno, proclamò al popolo il messaggio dell'Eterno, dicendo: Io sono con voi, dice l'Eterno. |
| 14 | Et l'Éternel réveilla l'esprit de Zorobabel, fils de Shealthiel, gouverneur de Juda, et l'esprit de Joshua, fils de Jotsadak, le grand sacrificateur, et l'esprit de tout le reste du peuple; et ils vinrent et travaillèrent à la maison de l'Éternel des armées, leur Dieu, | And Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work on the house of Jehovah of hosts, their God, | Così l'Eterno destò lo spirito di Zorobabel figlio di Scealtiel, governatore di Giuda e lo spirito di Giosuè, figlio di Jehotsadak, il sommo sacerdote, e lo spirito di tutto il resto del popolo; allora essi vennero e iniziarono il lavoro sulla casa dell'Eterno degli eserciti, il loro DIo |
