| 7 | And when we had sailed slowly many days, and scarce were come over against Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed under Crete, over against Salmone; | Et comme pendant plusieurs jours nous avancions fort peu, et que nous n'étions arrivés qu'avec peine vis-à-vis de Gnide, parce que le vent ne nous permettait pas d'avancer, nous naviguèrent en dessous de la Crète, vers Salmone; | Navigando lentamente per molti giorni, giungemmo a stento di fronte a Cnido per l'impedimento del vento; poi prendemmo a navigare al riparo di Creta, al largo di Salmone. |

| 13 | And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence, they sailed close by Crete. | Et le vent du midi ayant soufflé doucement, ils se crurent maîtres de leur dessein, et levant l'ancre, ils côtoyèrent de près la Crète. | Quando si levò un leggero scirocco, pensando di poter attuare il loro intento, levarono le ancore e si misero a costeggiare Creta. |

| 15 | And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive. | Le vaisseau fut entraîné, et ne pouvant résister au vent, nous nous laissèrent emporter; | Siccome la nave era portata via, non potendo reggere al vento, la lasciammo in sua balìa, e così eravamo portati alla deriva. |
| 16 | And running under a certain island which is called Clauda, we had much work to come by the boat: | Et quand nous sommes passé en dessous d'une petite île, appelée Clauda, nous eurent de la peine à être maîtres de la chaloupe. | Passati velocemente sotto un'isoletta, chiamata Clauda, riuscimmo a stento a controllare la scialuppa. |
| 17 | Which when they had taken up, they used helps, undergirding the ship; and, fearing lest they should fall into the quicksands, strake sail, and so were driven. | L'ayant retirée, les matelots firent usage de secours, en liant le vaisseau avec des câbles; et craignant d'échouer sur la Syrte ils abaissèrent le mât; et ils étaient emportés ainsi. | E, dopo averla tirata a bordo, i marinai usarono tutti i mezzi per fasciare di sotto la nave con gomene e, temendo di finire incagliati nella Sirte, calarono le vele, lasciandosi così portare alla deriva. |

| 21 | But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss. | Or il y avait longtemps qu'on n'avait mangé. Alors Paul se levant au milieu d'eux, leur dit: O hommes, il fallait donc me croire, et ne pas partir de Crète, pour éviter cette détresse et ce désastre. | E poiché erano rimasti senza cibo per molto tempo. | 22 | And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship. | Je vous exhorte maintenant à prendre courage, car aucun de vous ne perdra la vie, le vaisseau seul périra. | Ma ora vi esorto a non perdervi d'animo, perché non vi sarà perdita della vita di alcuno di voi, ma solo della nave. |
| 23 | For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, | Car un ange du Dieu, à qui je suis et que je sers, m'est apparu cette nuit, et m'a dit: | Poiché mi è apparso questa notte un angelo di Dio, al quale appartengo e che io servo, |
| 24 | Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. | Paul, ne crains point; il faut que tu comparaisses devant César; et voici, Dieu t'a donné tous ceux qui naviguent avec toi. | dicendo: "Paolo, non temere, tu devi comparire davanti a Cesare; ed ecco. | 25 | Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me. | C'est pourquoi, ô hommes, prenez courage; car j'ai cette confiance en Dieu, qu'il en arrivera comme il m'a été dit; | Perciò, o uomini, state di buon cuore, perché io ho fede in Dio che avverrà esattamente come mi è stato detto. |

| 31 | Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved. | Paul dit au centenier et aux soldats: S'ils ne demeurent dans le vaisseau, vous ne pouvez être sauvés. | Paolo disse al centurione e ai soldati: Se costoro non restano sulla nave, voi non potete scampare. |
| 32 | Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off. | Alors les soldats coupèrent les cordes de la chaloupe, et la laissèrent tomber. | Allora i soldati tagliarono le funi della scialuppa e la lasciarono cadere. |
| 33 | And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that ye have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing. | Et en attendant que le jour vînt, Paul les exhorta tous à prendre de la nourriture, en disant: C'est aujourd'hui le quatorzième jour que, en attendant, vous êtes sans manger, et vous n'avez rien pris. | Nell'attesa che si facesse giorno, Paolo esortava tutti a prendere cibo, dicendo: Oggi sono quattordici giorni che state aspettando digiuni senza aver preso nulla. |
| 34 | Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you. | Je vous exhorte donc à prendre de la nourriture, car cela importe à votre conservation; et il ne tombera pas un cheveu de la tête d'aucun de vous. | Vi esorto perciò a prendere cibo, poiché questo contribuirà alla vostra salvezza; poiché neppure un capello del nostro capo perirà. |
| 35 | And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat. | Ayant dit cela, il prit du pain, et rendit grâces à Dieu en présence de tous; et l'ayant rompu, il se mit à manger. | Detto questo, prese del pane e rese grazie a Dio in presenza di tutti poi lo ruppe e cominciò a mangiare. |

| 38 | And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea. | Et quand ils eurent mangé suffisamment, ils allégèrent le vaisseau en jetant le blé à la mer. | Dopo aver mangiato a sazietà, alleggerirono la nave gettando il frumento in mare. |
| 39 | And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship. | Et le jour étant venu, ils ne reconnaissaient point la terre; mais ayant aperçu un golfe qui avait une plage, ils résolurent d'y faire échouer le vaisseau, s'ils le pouvaient. | Fattosi giorno, non riuscivano a riconoscere la terra, ma notarono una insenatura con la spiaggia e decisero di spingervi la nave, se potevano. |
| 40 | And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore. | Ayant donc coupé les ancres, ils les laissèrent dans la mer, lâchant en même temps les attaches des gouvernails; et ayant mis au vent la voile de l'artimon, ils se dirigeaient vers le rivage. | Staccate le ancore, le lasciarono andare in mare, sciogliendo nello stesso tempo i legami dei timoni; poi, spiegata la vela maestra al vento, si diressero verso il lido. |
| 41 | And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves. | Et rencontrant un endroit qui avait la mer des deux côtés, le vaisseau y échoua, et la proue engagée avec force, demeurait immobile, mais la poupe se rompait par la violence des vagues. | Ma, essendo incappati in una secca che aveva il mare da ambo i lati, vi arenarono la nave che rimase con la prua incagliata e immobile, mentre la poppa si sfasciava per la violenza delle onde. |

| 43 | But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land: | Mais le centenier, voulant sauver Paul, les détourna de ce dessein, et ordonna à tous ceux qui savaient nager de se jeter à l'eau les premiers, et de se sauver à terre; | Ma il centurione, volendo salvare Paolo, li distolse da quel proposito e comandò a coloro che sapevano nuotare di gettarsi per primi in mare e di raggiungere la terra; |
| 44 | And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land. | Et aux autres de se mettre, les uns sur des planches, les autres sur quelque pièce du vaisseau. Il arriva ainsi que tous se sauvèrent à terre. | poi gli altri, chi su tavole, chi su rottami della nave; e così avvenne che tutti poterono mettersi in salvo a terra. |
