| 4 | And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. | Così furono tutti ripieni di Spirito Santo e cominciarono a parlare in altre lingue, secondo che lo Spirito dava loro di esprimersi. |
| 5 | Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. | Or a Gerusalemme dimoravano dei Giudei, uomini pii, da ogni nazione sotto il cielo. |
| 6 | And when this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speaking in his own language. | Quando si fece quel suono, la folla si radunò e fu confusa, perché ciascuno di loro li udiva parlare nella sua propria lingua. |
| 7 | And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying, Behold, are not all these that speak Galilaeans? | E tutti stupivano e si meravigliavano, e si dicevano l'un l'altro: Ecco, non sono Galilei tutti questi che parlano? |
| 8 | And how hear we, every man in our own language wherein we were born? | Come mai ciascuno di noi li ode parlare nella propria lingua natìa? |

| 12 | And they were all amazed, and were perplexed, saying one to another, What meaneth this? | E tutti stupivano ed erano perplessi, e si dicevano l'un l'altro: Che vuol dire questo?. |
| 13 | But others mocking said, They are filled with new wine. | Altri invece li schernivano e diceva no: Sono ripieni di vin dolce!. |
| 14 | But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spake forth unto them, [saying], Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and give ear unto my words. | Ma Pietro si alzò in piedi con gli undici e ad alta voce parlò loro: Giudei e voi tutti che abitate in Gerusalemme, vi sia noto questo e prestate attenzione alle mie parole. |
| 15 | For these are not drunken, as ye suppose; seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day. | Costoro non sono ubriachi, come voi ritenete, poiché è solo la terza ora del giorno. |
| 16 | but this is that which hath been spoken through the prophet Joel: | Ma questo è ciò che fu detto dal profeta Gioele: |
| 17 | And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams: | E avverrà negli ultimi giorni, dice Dio, che spanderò del mio Spirito sopra ogni carne; e i vostri figli e le vostre figlie profetizzeranno, i vostri giovani avranno delle visioni e i vostri vecchi sogneranno dei sogni. |
| 18 | Yea and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days Will I pour forth of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy. | In quei giorni spanderò del mio Spirito sopra i miei servi e sopra le mie serve, e profetizzeranno. |
| 19 | And I will show wonders in the heaven above, And signs on the earth beneath; Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke: | E farò prodigi su nel cielo e segni giù sulla terra: sangue, fuoco e vapore di fumo. |
| 20 | The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the day of the Lord come, That great and notable [day]. | Il sole sarà mutato in tenebre e la luna in sangue, prima che venga il grande e glorioso giorno del Signore. |
| 21 | And it shall be, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. | E avverrà che chiunque avrà invocato il nome del Signore sarà salvato". |
| 22 | Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God unto you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him in the midst of you, even as ye yourselves know; | Uomini d'Israele, ascoltate queste parole: Gesù il Nazareno, uomo accreditato da Dio tra di voi per mezzo di potenti operazioni, prodigi e segni che Dio fece tra di voi per mezzo di lui, come anche voi sapete, |
| 23 | him, being delivered up by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye by the hand of lawless men did crucify and slay: | egli, dico, secondo il determinato consiglio e prescienza di Dio, vi fu dato nelle mani e voi lo prendeste, e per mani di iniqui lo inchiodaste alla croce e lo uccideste, |
| 24 | whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. | Ma Dio lo ha risuscitato, avendolo sciolto dalle angosce della morte, poiché non era possibile che fosse da essa trattenuto. |
| 25 | For David saith concerning him, I beheld the Lord always before my face; For he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: | Infatti Davide dice di lui: "Io ho avuto del continuo il Signore davanti a me, perché egli è alla mia destra, affinché io non sia smosso. |
| 26 | Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; Moreover my flesh also shall dwell in hope: | Per questo si è rallegrato il cuore mio e ha giubilato la mia lingua, e anche la mia carne dimorerà nella speranza. |
| 27 | Because thou wilt not leave my soul unto Hades, Neither wilt thou give thy Holy One to see corruption. | Poiché tu non lascerai l'anima mia nell'Ades e non permetterai che il tuo Santo veda la corruzione. |
| 28 | Thou madest known unto me the ways of life; Thou shalt make me full of gladness with thy countenance. | Tu mi hai fatto conoscere le vie della vita, tu mi riempirai di gioia alla tua presenza". |
| 29 | Brethren, I may say unto you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day. | Fratelli, si può ben liberamente dire intorno al patriarca Davide che egli morì e fu sepolto; e il suo sepolcro si trova tra di noi fino al giorno d'oggi. |
| 30 | Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins he would set [one] upon his throne; | Egli dunque, essendo profeta, sapeva che Dio gli aveva con giuramento promesso che dal frutto dei suoi lombi, secondo la carne, avrebbe suscitato il Cristo per farlo sedere sul suo trono; |
| 31 | he foreseeing [this] spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. | e, prevedendo le cose a venire, parlò della risurrezione di Cristo, dicendo che l'anima sua non sarebbe stata lasciata nell'Ades e che la sua carne non avrebbe visto la corruzione. |

| 36 | Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified. | Sappia dunque con certezza tutta la casa d'Israele che quel Gesù che voi avete crocifisso, Dio lo ha fatto Signore e Cristo, |
| 37 | Now when they heard [this,] they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do? | Or essi, udite queste cose, furono compunti nel cuore e chiesero a Pietro e agli apostoli: Fratelli, che dobbiamo fare?. |
| 38 | And Peter [said] unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. | Allora Pietro disse loro: Ravvedetevi e ciascuno di voi sia battezzato nel nome di Gesù Cristo per il perdono dei peccati, e voi riceverete il dono dello Spirito Santo. |
| 39 | For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him. | Poiché la promessa è per voi e per i vostri figli e per tutti coloro che sono lontani, per quanti il Signore Dio nostro ne chiamerà. |
| 40 | And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation. | E con molte altre parole li scongiurava e li esortava, dicendo: Salvatevi da questa perversa generazione. |
| 41 | They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added [unto them] in that day about three thousand souls. | Quelli dunque che ricevettero la sua parola lietamente furono battezzati; in quel giorno furono aggiunte circa tremila persone. |
| 42 | And they continued stedfastly in the apostles` teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and the prayers. | Essi erano perseveranti nel seguire l'insegnamento degli apostoli, nella comunione, nel rompere il pane e nelle preghiere. |
| 43 | And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. | Ed erano tutti presi da timore; e molti segni e miracoli si facevano per mano degli apostoli. |
| 44 | And all that believed were together, and had all things common; | Or tutti coloro che credevano stavano insieme ed avevano ogni cosa in comune. |
| 45 | and they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, according as any man had need. | E vendevano i poderi e i beni e li distribuivano a tutti, secondo il bisogno di ciascuno. |
| 46 | And day by day, continuing stedfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart, | E perseveravano con una sola mente tutti i giorni nel tempio e rompendo il pane di casa in casa, prendevano il cibo insieme con gioia e semplicità di cuore, |
| 47 | praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to them day by day those that were saved. | lodando Dio e godendo il favore di tutto il popolo. E il Signore aggiungeva alla chiesa ogni giorno coloro che erano salvati. |
