| 16 | Et l'homme dans lequel était l'esprit malin s'élança sur eux, se rendit maître de tous deux, et les maltraita de telle sorte qu'ils s'enfuirent de cette maison nus et blessés. | And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. | Quindi l'uomo che aveva lo spirito maligno si avventò su di loro e, sopraffattili, fece loro tal violenza che fuggirono da quella casa, nudi e feriti. |

Quand j'aurai été là, se disait-il, il faut aussi que je voie Rome. | After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome. | Dopo questi avvenimenti. Paolo si mise nell'animo di andare a Gerusalemme passando per la Macedonia e per l'Acaia, e diceva: Dopo essere stato lì, bisogna che io veda anche Roma. |

| 25 | Il les rassembla, avec ceux du même métier, et dit : O hommes, vous savez que notre bien-être dépend de cette industrie ; | Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth. | Costui li radunò insieme ai lavoratori che avevano un'attività affine, e disse: Uomini, voi sapete che il nostro guadagno proviene da questa attività. |
| 26 | et vous voyez et entendez que, non seulement à Éphèse, mais dans presque toute l'Asie, ce Paul a persuadé et détourné une foule de gens, en disant que les dieux faits de main d'homme ne sont pas des dieux. | Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands: | Or voi vedete e udite che questo Paolo ha persuaso e sviato un gran numero di gente non solo in Efeso, ma in quasi tutta l'Asia, dicendo che non sono dèi quelli costruiti da mano d'uomo. |
| 27 | Le danger qui en résulte, ce n'est pas seulement que notre industrie ne tombe en discrédit ; c'est encore que le temple de la grande déesse Diane ne soit tenu pour rien, et même que la majesté de celle qui est révérée dans toute l'Asie et dans le monde entier ne soit réduite à néant. | So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth. | Non solo c'è pericolo per noi che quest'arte particolare venga discreditata, ma che anche il tempio della grande dea Diana non conti più nulla, e che venga spogliata della sua grandezza colei che tutta l'Asia, anzi tutto il mondo, adora. |

| 32 | Les uns criaient d'une manière, les autres d'une autre, car le désordre régnait dans l'assemblée, et la plupart ne savaient pas pourquoi ils s'étaient réunis. | Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together. | Intanto gli uni gridavano una cosa, gli altri un'altra, tanto che l'adunanza era confusa e i più non sapevano per quale ragione si fossero radunati. |
| 33 | Alors on fit sortir de la foule Alexandre, que les Juifs poussaient en avant ; et Alexandre, faisant signe de la main, voulait parler au peuple. | And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people. | Allora fu fatto uscire dalla folla Alessandro, spinto avanti dai Giudei. | 35 | Cependant le secrétaire, ayant apaisé la foule, dit : Hommes Éphésiens, quel est celui qui ignore que la ville d'Éphèse est la gardienne du temple de la grande Diane et de son simulacre tombé du ciel ? | And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter? | Dopo aver calmato la folla, il cancelliere disse: Efesini, chi è mai quell'uomo che non sappia che la città degli Efesini è la custode del tempio della grande dea Diana e della sua immagine caduta da Giove? |
| 36 | Cela étant incontestable, vous devez vous calmer, et ne rien faire avec précipitation. | Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly. | Poiché dunque queste cose sono incontestabili, voi dovete restare calmi e non fare nulla di sconsiderato. |

| 38 | Si donc Démétrius et ses ouvriers ont à se plaindre de quelqu'un, il y a des jours d'audience et des proconsuls ; qu'ils s'appellent en justice les uns les autres. | Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them implead one another. | Se dunque Demetrio e gli artigiani che sono con lui hanno qualcosa contro qualcuno, i tribunali sono aperti e vi sono i proconsoli; presenti ognuno le sue accuse. |
| 39 | Et si vous avez en vue d'autres objets, ils se régleront dans une assemblée légale. | But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly. | Se poi avete qualche altra richiesta da fare, ciò si risolverà nell'ordinaria assemblea. |
