| 2 | And when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and questioning with them, [the brethren] appointed that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question. | Essendo perciò sorta una non piccola controversia e discussione da parte di Paolo e Barnaba con costoro fu ordinato che Paolo e Barnaba e alcuni altri di loro salissero a Gerusalemme dagli apostoli e anziani per tale questione. |
| 3 | They therefore, being brought on their way by the church, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren. | Essi dunque, scortati per un tratto dalla chiesa, attraversarono la Fenicia e la Samaria, raccontando la conversione dei gentili e arrecando grande gioia a tutti i fratelli. |

| 7 | And when there had been much questioning, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Brethren, ye know that a good while ago God made choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. | Ed essendo sorta una grande disputa, Pietro si alzò in piedi e disse loro: Fratelli, voi sapete che già dai primi tempi Dio tra noi scelse me, affinché per la mia bocca i gentili udissero la parola dell'evangelo e credessero. |

| 9 | and he made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith. | e non ha fatto alcuna differenza tra noi e loro, avendo purificato i loro cuori mediante la fede. |
| 10 | Now therefore why make ye trial of God, that ye should put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? | Ora dunque perché tentate Dio, mettendo sul collo dei discepoli un giogo che né i nostri padri né noi abbiamo potuto portare? |
| 11 | But we believe that we shall be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in like manner as they. | Ma noi crediamo di essere salvati mediante la grazia del Signor Gesù Cristo, e nello stesso modo anche loro. |
| 12 | And all the multitude kept silence; and they hearkened unto Barnabas and Paul rehearsing what signs and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles through them. | Allora tutta la folla tacque, e stavano ad ascoltare Barnaba e Paolo, che raccontavano quali segni e prodigi Dio aveva operato per mezzo loro fra i gentili. |

| 28 | For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: | Infatti è parso bene allo Spirito Santo e a noi di non imporvi alcun altro peso all'infuori di queste cose necessarie: |
| 29 | that ye abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication; from which if ye keep yourselves, it shall be well with you. Fare ye well. | che vi asteniate dalle cose sacrificate agli idoli, dal sangue, dalle cose soffocate e dalla fornicazione, farete bene a guardarvi da queste cose. State bene. |

| 33 | And after they had spent some time [there], they were dismissed in peace from the brethren unto those that had sent them forth. | Dopo essersi trattenuti là diverso tempo, furono dai fratelli rimandati in pace dagli apostoli. |
| 34 | [But it seemed good unto Silas to abide there.] | Ma parve bene a Sila di restare là. |
| 35 | But Paul and Barnabas tarried in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also. | Anche Paolo e Barnaba rimasero ad Antiochia, insegnando ed annunziando con molti altri la parola del Signore. |
| 36 | And after some days Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us return now and visit the brethren in every city wherein we proclaimed the word of the Lord, [and see] how they fare. | Alcuni giorni dopo, Paolo disse a Barnaba: Torniamo ora a visitare i nostri fratelli in ogni città dove abbiamo annunziato la parola del Signore, per vedere come stanno. |
| 37 | And Barnabas was minded to take with them John also, who was called Mark. | Or Barnaba intendeva prendere con loro Giovanni, detto Marco. |
| 38 | But Paul thought not good to take with them him who withdrew from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. | Ma Paolo riteneva che non si dovesse prendere con loro colui che si era separato da loro in Panfilia, e non era andato con loro all'opera. |
| 39 | And there arose a sharp contention, so that they parted asunder one from the other, and Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away unto Cyprus; | Ne nacque allora una tale disputa che si separarono l'uno dall'altro, poi Barnaba, preso Marco, s'imbarcò per Cipro. |
| 40 | but Paul choose Silas, and went forth, being commended by the brethren to the grace of the Lord. | Paolo invece, sceltosi per compagno Sila, partì, raccomandato dai fratelli alla grazia di Dio. |
| 41 | And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches. | E attraversò la Siria e la Cilicia, confermando le chiese. |
