Et l'Éternel dit à David: Monte, car certainement je livrerai les Philistins en ta main. | And David inquired of Jehovah, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into my hand? And Jehovah said unto David, Go up; for I will certainly deliver the Philistines into thy hand. | Allora Davide consultò l'Eterno dicendo: Devo salire contro i Filistei? Li darai nelle mie mani?. L'Eterno rispose a Davide: Sali, perché darò certamente i Filistei nelle tue mani. |
| 20 | Et David vint à Baal-Peratsim; et là David les frappa, et il dit: L'Éternel a fait une brèche au milieu de mes ennemis devant moi, comme une brèche faite par les eaux; c'est pourquoi il appela le nom de ce lieu Baal-Peratsim. | And David came to Baal-perazim, and David smote them there; and he said, Jehovah hath broken mine enemies before me, like the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baal-perazim. | Così Davide andò a Baal-Peratsim, dove li sconfisse, e disse: L'Eterno ha aperto un varco tra i miei nemici davanti a me, come un varco aperto dalle acque. Et il dit: Tu ne monteras pas; tourne-les par derrière, et tu viendras contre eux vis-à-vis des mûriers; | And when David inquired of Jehovah, he said, Thou shalt not go up: make a circuit behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry-trees. | Quando Davide consultò l'Eterno, egli disse: Non salire; aggirali alle spalle, piomba su di loro di fronte ai Balsami. |
| 24 | et aussitôt que tu entendras sur le sommet des mûriers un bruit de gens qui marchent, alors tu t'élanceras, car alors l'Éternel sera sorti devant toi pour frapper l'armée des Philistins. | And it shall be, when thou hearest the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry-trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself; for then is Jehovah gone out before thee to smite the host of the Philistines. | Quando udrai un rumore di passi sulle cime dei Balsami, lanciati subito all'attacco, perché allora l'Eterno uscirà davanti a te per sconfiggere l'esercito dei Filistei. |
| 25 | Et David fit ainsi, comme l'Éternel lui avait commandé; et il frappa les Philistins depuis Guéba jusqu'à ce que tu viennes vers Guézer. | And David did so, as Jehovah commanded him, and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gezer. | Davide fece esattamente come l'Eterno gli aveva comandato e sconfisse i Filistei da Gheba fino a Ghezer. |
