| 8 | Ce sont ici les noms des hommes forts qu'avait David: Josheb-Bashébeth, Thacmonite, chef des principaux capitaines; c'était Adino, l'Etsnite, qui eut le dessus sur huit cents hommes, qu'il tua en une fois. | These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-basshebeth a Tahchemonite, chief of the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite, against eight hundred slain at one time. | Questi sono i nomi dei valorosi guerrieri che furono al servizio di Davide Josceb-Bashshebeth, il Tahkemonita capo dei principali ufficiali. | 10 | Il se leva, et frappa les Philistins, jusqu'à ce que sa main fut lasse et que sa main demeura attachée à l'épée; et l'Éternel opéra une grande délivrance ce jour-là; et le peuple revint après Éléazar, seulement pour piller. | He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword; and Jehovah wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to take spoil. | Egli si levò e colpì i Filistei, finché la sua mano, esausta, rimase attaccata alla spada. In quel giorno l'Eterno operò una grande vittoria e il popolo ritornò dietro a lui solo per fare bottino. |
| 11 | Et après lui, Shamma, fils d'Agué, Hararite: les Philistins s'étaient assemblés en troupe; et il y avait là une portion de champ pleine de lentilles, et le peuple avait fui devant les Philistins; | And after him was Shammah the son of Agee a Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a plot of ground full of lentils; and the people fled from the Philistines. | Dopo di lui veniva Shammah, figlio di Aghè, lo Hararita. I Filistei si erano radunati in massa in un luogo dove c'era un campo pieno di lenticchie. Il popolo era fuggito davanti ai Filistei. |
| 12 | et il se plaça au milieu du champ, et le sauva, et frappa les Philistins; et l'Éternel opéra une grande délivrance. | But he stood in the midst of the plot, and defended it, and slew the Philistines; and Jehovah wrought a great victory. | ma Shammah si piantò in mezzo al campo e lo difese, e fece una strage dei Filistei. | 13 | Et trois des trente chefs descendirent et vinrent au temps de la moisson vers David, dans la caverne d'Adullam, comme une troupe de Philistins était campée dans la vallée des Rephaïm. | And three of the thirty chief men went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam; and the troop of the Philistines was encamped in the valley of Rephaim. | Tre dei trenta capi scesero al tempo della mietitura e vennero da Davide nella caverna di Adullam mentre una schiera di Filistei era accampata nella valle dei giganti. |

| 16 | Et les trois hommes forts forcèrent le passage à travers le camp des Philistins et puisèrent de l'eau du puits de Bethléhem, qui est près de la porte, et la prirent et l'apportèrent à David; et il ne voulut pas la boire, mais il en fit une libation à l'Éternel. | And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto Jehovah. | I tre prodi si aprirono un varco attraverso il campo filisteo e attinsero l'acqua dal pozzo di Betlemme, vicino alla porta; quindi la presero e la portarono a Davide. Ces trois hommes forts firent cela. | And he said, Be it far from me, O Jehovah, that I should do this: [shall I drink] the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men. | dicendo: Lungi da me o Eterno, il fare questo! Non è forse il sangue degli uomini che sono andati a rischio della loro vita?. E non la volle bere. | 18 | Et Abishaï, frère de Joab, fils de Tseruïa, était chef de trois; il leva sa lance contre trois cents hommes, qu'il tua. Et il eut un nom parmi les trois. | And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred and slew them, and had a name among the three. | Abishai, fratello di Joab, figlio di Tseruiah, fu il capo di altri tre. Egli brandì la lancia contro trecento uomini li uccise; così si acquistò fama fra i tre |
| 19 | Ne fut-il pas le plus honoré des trois? Et il fut leur chef; mais il n'atteignit pas les trois premiers. | Was he not most honorable of the three? therefore he was made their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the [first] three. | Fu il più illustre dei tre e perciò fu fatto loro capo; ma non giunse a eguagliare i primi tre. |
| 20 | Et Benaïa, fils de Jehoïada, fils d'un homme vaillant, de Kabtseël, grand en exploits, lui, frappa deux lions de Moab; et il descendit, et frappa le lion dans une fosse, par un jour de neige. | And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done mighty deeds, he slew the two [sons of] Ariel of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow. | Benaiah, figlio di Jehoiada, figlio di un uomo valoroso di Kabtseel fece grandi prodezze. Egli uccise due eroi di Moab; che erano come leoni. Discese anche in mezzo a una cisterna, dove uccise un leone, in un giorno di neve. |
