| Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites. | And there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David sought the face of Jehovah. And Jehovah said, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put to death the Gibeonites.
- | And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.) | And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal for the children of Israel and Judah); | Allora il re chiamò i Gabaoniti, e parlò loro.
| Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD? | and David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of Jehovah?
| And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you. | And the Gibeonites said unto him, It is no matter of silver or gold between us and Saul, or his house; neither is it for us to put any man to death in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.
Ils répondirent au roi : Puisque cet homme nous a consumés, et qu'il avait le projet de nous détruire pour nous faire disparaître de tout le territoire d'Israël, | And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel, | And they said unto the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us, [that] we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the borders of Israel, | Essi risposero al re: Per l'uomo che ci ha consumati e che aveva ideato di sterminarci per farci sparire da tutto il territorio d'Israele,
| Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them. | let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto Jehovah in Gibeah of Saul, the chosen of Jehovah. And the king said, I will give them. | ci siano consegnati sette uomini tra i suoi discendenti e noi li impiccheremo davanti all'Eterno a Ghibeah di Saul, l'eletto dell'Eterno.
| But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul. | But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of Jehovah`s oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
Mais le roi prit les deux fils que Ritspa, fille d'Ajja, avait enfantés à Saül, Armoni et Mephiboscheth, et les cinq fils que Mérab, fille de Saül, avait enfantés à Adriel de Mehola, fils de Barzillaï ; | But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite: | But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she bare to Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite: | Ma il re prese i due figli, che Ritspah figlia di Aiah aveva partorito a Saul, Armoni e Mefibosceth, e i cinque figli, che Mikal, figlia di Saul, aveva partorito ad Adriel di Mehola, figlio di Barzillai,
| And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest. | And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the mountain before Jehovah, and they fell [all] seven together. And they were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, at the beginning of barley harvest.
| And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night. | And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water was poured upon them from heaven; and she suffered neither the birds of the heavens to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
| And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done. | And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.
| And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa: | And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh-gilead, who had stolen them from the street of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had hanged them, in the day that the Philistines slew Saul in Gilboa; | Davide andò a prendere le ossa di Saul e quelle di Gionathan suo figlio dagli abitanti di Jabesh di Galaad, che le avevano portate via dalla piazza di Beth-Shan, dove i Filistei li avevano appesi quando i Filistei avevano sconfitto Saul sul Ghilboa.
| And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged. | and he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son: and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.
| And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land. | And they buried the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son in the country of Benjamin in Zela, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was entreated for the land.
Les Philistins firent encore la guerre à Israël. David descendit avec ses serviteurs, et ils combattirent les Philistins. David était fatigué. | Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint. | And the Philistines had war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines. And David waxed faint; | I Filistei mossero di nuovo guerra ad Israele e Davide scese con i suoi servi a combattere contro i Filistei; e Davide si stancò;
Et Jischbi Benob, l'un des enfants de Rapha, eut la pensée de tuer David ; il avait une lance du poids de trois cents sicles d'airain, et il était ceint d'une épée neuve. | And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David. | and Ishbibenob, who was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear was three hundred [shekels] of brass in weight, he being girded with a new [sword], thought to have slain David. | Ishbi-Benob, uno dei discendenti dei giganti che aveva una lancia del peso di trecento sicli di bronzo ed era cinto di una spada nuova, intendeva uccidere Davide;
| But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel. | But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succored him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the lamp of Israel.
| And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant. | And it came to pass after this, that there was again war with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbecai the Hushathite slew Saph, who was of the sons of the giant.
| And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. | And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob; and Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim the Beth-lehemite slew Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver`s beam.
| And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant. | And there was again war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
| And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the brother of David slew him. | And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimei, David`s brother, slew him.
| These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants. | These four were born to the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
