And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away. | Poi Absalom s'imbattè nella gente di Davide. And Joab said, Wherefore wilt thou run, my son, seeing that thou hast no tidings ready? | Ahimaats, figlio di Tsadok, disse di nuovo a Joab: Qualunque cosa accada ti prego, lasciami correre dietro all'Etiope!. And the king said, If he be alone, there is tidings in his mouth. And he came apace, and drew near. | La sentinella gridò e avvertì il re. Il re disse: Se è solo, porta notizie. E quello andava avvicinandosi sempre più. |
| 26 | La sentinelle vit un autre homme qui courait ; elle cria au portier : Voici un homme qui court tout seul. Le roi dit : Il apporte aussi des nouvelles. | And the watchman saw another man running: and the watchman called unto the porter, and said, Behold another man running alone. And the king said, He also bringeth tidings. | Poi la sentinella vide un altro uomo che correva e gridò al guardiano della porta: Ecco un altro uomo che corre tutto solo!. Il re disse: Anche questo porta notizie. |
| 27 | La sentinelle dit : La manière de courir du premier me paraît celle d'Achimaats, fils de Tsadok. Et le roi dit : C'est un homme de bien, et il apporte de bonnes nouvelles. | And the watchman said, Me thinketh the running of the foremost is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok. And the king said, He is a good man, and cometh with good tidings. | La sentinella soggiunse: Il modo di correre del primo mi sembra quello di Ahimaats, figlio di Tsadok!. And he fell down to the earth upon his face before the king, and said, Blessed be the LORD thy God, which hath delivered up the men that lifted up their hand against my lord the king. | Ahimaats gridò al re e disse: Pace!. And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king's servant, and me thy servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what it was. | Il re disse: Sta bene il giovane Absalom?. Aujourd'hui l'Éternel t'a rendu justice en te délivrant de la main de tous ceux qui s'élevaient contre toi. | And, behold, Cushi came; and Cushi said, Tidings, my lord the king: for the LORD hath avenged thee this day of all them that rose up against thee. | Proprio allora giunse l'Etiope, e l'Etiope disse: Buone notizie, o re mio signore. L'Eterno oggi ti ha fatto giustizia, liberandoti dalle mani di tutti quelli che erano insorti contro di te. |

Cuschi répondit : Qu'ils soient comme ce jeune homme, les ennemis du roi mon seigneur et tous ceux qui s'élèvent contre toi pour te faire du mal ! | And the king said unto Cushi, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Cushi answered, The enemies of my lord the king, and all that rise against thee to do thee hurt, be as that young man is. | Il re disse all'Etiope: Sta bene il giovane Absalom?. L'Etiope rispose: Possano i nemici del re mio signore e tutti quelli che insorgono contro di te per farti del male, essere come quel giovane!. |
